Very poor quality watches
I was given a Shore watch as an engagement present from my then fiancée in 2015. Iâm not a fan of the chunky bezels and eleventy billion dials that tend to characterise menâs watches so Shore seemed just the ticket. Iâve been wearing it as my everyday watch since then. I love the aesthetic but the quality is very poor. I look after it and donât wear it when hiking, swimming, cycling, running etc but even so, Iâm on my 3rd strap, 3rd mechanism and 4th battery after 6 years. Now the seal has failed and condensation is obscuring the dial. Iâve spent far more on it in repairs than it cost in the first place. I would have got rid of it a long time ago, but it has obvious sentimental value. Iâve repeatedly tried to engage with Shore but theyâve long since stopped responding.
So would-be buyer, learn from my tale of woe. Donât be seduced by the beautiful aesthetics, nor the marketing spiel about timeless, quality watches. The only thing timeless about them is that theyâre so unreliable they rarely tell the time!
