The site in Chiswick is ok, good service from the guys at reception. My only reason to give two stars is that after a certain period of time, they simply increased price from £200 to £260 with out any justification. There was no change in the service, no improvement, they just decided to increase it so they did. Ohh I forgot, I think the extra 60 increase was to pay the rent for the mouse I found in my storage room.

Most of us would be perfectly happy with the increase in line with inflation for example but an increase of 30% and your justification for this is "improvement in service" (which is every business mantra when it comes to sharp increases) is ridiculous. I have not seen and inch in service or facility improvement, except mice in my room. You have done zero technical or service improvement!

I give you an example of price increase justification: Virgin gym in Chiswick just increased my monthly pay by £20 after the refurb. When I got in the first time, I was shocked - new floor, super new machines from Technogym (best on the market, premium machines), new section with more machines, new cafe to be built... etc., thats an improvement in service, that is justification for £20 increase, you did not move a finger, well, except pressing enter to change the figure on my DD. Thanks

Honest, helpful and clean

My first experience with self-storage. Everything has been good with Chiswick branch. Very helpful staff, easy reservation process and the App is simple to navigate. The facility is well-designed - accessing the unit is easy even with a loaded trolley.

There is no light within my storage compartment, but the corridors are well-lit. It will be useful to bring along a rechargeable LED light when accessing the unit.

I’ve used three storage companies over the past eight years, and I’ve never experienced such pleasant service.
The staff were incredibly considerate, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful throughout. Highly recommended.

Setting up an account for a storage unit was very easy.
I was able to set up a 2nd account as moved from one site to another with no issues.

I received a phone call a few days after booking that my storage was being cancelled due to the fact that my brother ( who has the same surname and lives at the same address as me ) previously booked a storage under his own name. So essentially because my brother booked one a few months ago they found it suspicious that I now needed to book my own… whatever that means. I will definitely look at pursuing the matter in court after having a solicitor through the terms and conditions of the contract I received. So far after reading it myself I can confirm that the terms do not explicitly prohibit this kind of sequential booking by different people from the same household. They did not provide a clear policy in writing that says “only one £1 offer per household.” Their decision appears to be based on suspicion rather than any actual breach of the written agreement. Wouldn’t have expected this from Shurgard but such is life. Will update you all with the outcome.

Really great first experience. Mani and Val were incredibly helpful and kind. They guided me through the app system and talked me through the process. Brilliant guys. Felt very confident and happy about leaving my stuff. Shurguard seems safe, clean, user friendly storage with top staff. Would definitely recommend 👍

Very easy to access, facilities are great and kept to a really good standard.

Great initial experience. Staff were very helpful and walked me through the whole process.

The team at the reception of the storage unit were very helpful, especially as I had not received all the correct emails. However, it was not a problem, and they set me up manually.

Really great facility. We were given really thorough guidance on how to use the storage locker, the security arrangements etc. Staff in the office were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Absolutely delighted by my new Shurgard unit. Far better in every way than the two previous storage rooms I had - great access, parking, technology, staff. Everything a level above - and a lot cheaper.

Made my move easier, great people work there. Helped to find a place and get the one that would suite me the best! Very fast and easy.
