It took me a few days to acknowledge that it was waste of money. When I found someone I really fell for on J1Live.com
I tried to bow out of SIlversingles. It was not as easy as it seems. They don’t want to let you go and they have lots of tricks to renew your subscription without your authorization. These tricks are hidden in their T&C so you have to be very careful if you decide to join this site. But I recommend taking heed of all these negative reviews and not getting involved in this garbage.

Website is NOTUSER FRIENDLY. When you try to cancel customer service doesn't help.
Don't waste your money

Seemed okay at first. Somewhat confusing and complicated, but I chalked it up to the learning curve.

However I did feel prompted to seek support on a few occasions, and that's where things became downright frustrating...
▪︎ Their "customer support" used bots,
▪︎. ...which often used the same verbiage to answer different questions
▪︎ If my questions weren't on the list of FAQs, their answers didn't always fit my problem
▪︎...so I asked the bot to provide information on how to get ahold of a real person, but never got a response. Crickets.

One of my questions, by the way, was why one couldn't save profiles of people in which you were interested. The bot had said if your person of interest responded, then you would have some sort of record.

I was wondering why you couldn't create a list of interesting people to ponder before contacting them. Then you would not feel rushed. It would help you to narrow down who you choose to get in touch with. What harm would be in that?

I bought a 3 month subscription, and based upon my experiences so far, I would not renew. I hope these online dating services are not all like SilverSingles.

they banned me for no reason and claimed that I am not eligible to use the site. I am a real human man old enough and have never abused any policy.

I signed up at SilverSingles with the Premium monthly membership and for an unknown reason was told that my account was blocked on the very first day. I emailed SilverSingles Support and asked why my account was blocked, and was given no explanation. I cancelled my SilverSingles automatic monthly renewal at Paypal. But I still was left with a charge of $22.00 that was on my RBC Visa card. It is currently listed in my pending transactions. So I have to dispute this charge with RBC when it is listed in my posted statements. SilverSingles is a horrible company!

Signed up for premium service and the first time I logged in my profile was blocked. Three messages to support, no answer. No recourse.

The worst app ever. Don’t waste your time and money. I joined all the profiles showed are of people who are not online. Please stay away from this site I paid £49.99 and I did not meet a single person all profiles are AI no real men. I tired to delete my account and I cannot. They’re using my photos to show men. My profile is active even though I deleted it more than 20times. I really don’t know what to do next. I’m online against my wish.

I had a very frustrating experience with SilverSingles and feel others should be aware before subscribing.

I paid $54.99 for a membership, only to have my account suspended shortly after with no clear explanation and no option to appeal. As a paying customer, being locked out of the service entirely without recourse is unacceptable.

When I contacted customer support, I was told that account suspensions are final and cannot be reviewed. Even more concerning, they refused to make any exception to their refund policy, despite the fact that I can no longer access the service I paid for. Their response was essentially that if you’re outside the cooling-off period, you’re out of luck, regardless of the circumstances.

This feels extremely unfair. If a company chooses to revoke access to a paid service, there should be some accountability, whether that’s a refund or at least a proper review process.

Overall, this experience has been disappointing and has left me feeling like customer support is unwilling to take responsibility when issues arise. I would strongly caution others before purchasing a membership.

Absolute joke. Don't waste your time and money. You can't browse profiles after abit. It tells you to widen your preferences. I tried to edit my profile to make it stand out and they locked me out of my account for inconsistencies. All I did was try to fine
tune my profile. Worse site. Don't bother.

If I could give this dating site a 0 I would. Silver Singles is one of the worst dating sites for over 50 dating. I purchased a subscription and only received matches for hundreds of white males and maybe 3 black males and 1 communication which was not a connection. After 2 days I requested a refund and my request was ignored. PLEASE RUN FROM THIS SITE!

0 Stars for this company! Complet scam, no customer service! No company phone number and based in Germany. Canceled my account 1 week before renewel and still billed me,and this company has no cancel policy. So many fake accounts made up by this company! DO NOT USE SITE!!!

This site is a rip off, don't get messages or likes sent to your email. Can't report profiles easy, when you try, oh we can't find you in our system. All the women that I did talk to, ended up wanting gifts or money from $100 to $50,000.,even had one who wanted me to help with her business and sign papers. So stay away from this site. Customer service is a Joke

Far, far too passive. You can't see who's viewed your profile. You can't see when was the last time someone was actually on the site. It's impossible to initiate any kind of communication or conversation. All you can do is wait and hope that the algorithms are such that your profile ends up in someone's feed and they "like" you. And it is COMPLETELY OVERRUN with scammers. I just got a "like" from a guy who actually had the audacity to claim to be an effing ASTRONAUT. I reversed the image and sent the real astronaut's wikipedia page to whatever idiot I was talking to. There are no real men on this site. They're all romance scammers. They claim to not be on the app much and want you to send them your number or chat with you on WhatsApp. Five different men in 30-ish days who all claimed to be widowed. What are the mathematical odds of that? All the language they communicate with is the same, straight out of the Romance Scammers Playbook. Buyer beware.

There's no real search. You give your location at sign up, and you can only see potential partners within an adjustable 0 to 1000 miles away. Instead of a search, they display profile after profile. Dismiss means forever blocked. Like means a chance to communicate if she likes you. The free version gets 25 per day. It seems like there's a thousand possibilities, so if you get 25, and she gets 25, the odds aren't great to find matches.

I signed up in mid-December, and as of mid-February, only 5 matches, 2 of which were scammers. I paid $50 for a month, and found I had only 1 additional who liked me that I never saw before.

Of the three, they were quality matches, but one was a widow who freaked out. SilverSingles actually scrubbed the two scammers before I got very far. Still, 3 contacts in two months is not worth $50 per month.

Tons of fake photos. Fake profiles. They're kind of obvious. There's a plethora of incredibly attractive women and those are the fake ones. Don't waste your money.

This site is a total scam. They charged me. Then after several months with only matches in the US, I cancelled my subscription. Now several years later they have tried every day to charge my bank account with three hundred plus dollars & now my Visa is on hold until I figure out how to cancel that subscription, that I haven’t even used for several years. What a scam.

Almost everyone who contacted me was a fake account, easily seen by reverse image search. This includes the so-called "curated suggestions." There may be real people on this, but you'll go crazy trying to find them.
