Arrogant women already in groups, have no intention of even giving the time of day, Ripoff bar prices. Dont bother

I attended my 5th Single Mingle event and they just get better and better. Easy to book a ticket online, great venue, 80s music disco. It was a proper party atmosphere. The single mingle staff were great and it was just a great event and I met some lovely people. I can’t wait to go another one ❤️

There were 12 of us that showed up to the meet up, a mixture of men and women. We were greeted by a host, she was lovely and made us very welcome. We sat around a large table, chatting and playing games, it was good fun and everyone was very friendly. When it was time to leave everyone said how much they had enjoyed the afternoon. I've booked to go to the next one. I definitely think having the host there made it easier for us, especially if you feel nervous. The games broke the ice and as a lady on my own it made it all feel very safe.

I’d like to start off by saying I’ve been to a few LGBTQ+ single & mingle events and only one of these events was a lot of fun. The other events were run very poorly, staff members seemed very bored and like they didn’t want to be there. When I asked questions about putting my pronouns on my name tag, they seemed confused by the idea. These LGBTQ+ events didn’t feel very inclusive, and I feel more understanding of the LGBTQ+ community is needed. When talking with a staff member about her experience with single & mingle, she stated she’d only attended one of their events her self and disliked it. Which didn’t fill me with confidence. It honestly feels like single & mingle is aimed more at heterosexual people.

Have been to several. It does depend where you attend in my opinion. There are some events where the staff will do their job and try to involve everyone, get people meeting and start conversations. Which is how it should be. Then there are those where the staff are aloof and are no help at all ..and then the worst kind which I've experienced where the staff have not so much belittled but definitely made a poor few people feel inadequate after admitting they'd never been on a date. It's not their place to judge- if anything they should trying to increase confidence in these people not make them feel less .. Again this is only at selected events with different staff each time. But the core group and mainstays seem to do their best.

Had a lovely evening would highly recommend. It was great fun. I did meet a lovely person there and hopefully a lifelong friend.

Do NOT waste your money. I had booked a singles night, they changed the date, I couldnt make it to the new date and they never got back to me. No refund, no contact at all. Not even a swap for another night.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

I enjoyed the various ice breakers/conversation prompts provided, and because the det up enabled you to talk one on one to someone or part of a group, it felt a lot less formal/interview like than traditional speed dating.

Review of Single and Mingle Speed Dating Events

I have been attending speed dating events from Single and Mingle and similar companies for over two and a half years, and I feel compelled to share my experience as a demisexual, neurodivergent man with dyslexia. Unfortunately, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative.

Despite sincere participation, I have never had a single match or meaningful follow-up from any event. The advertising often uses pressure tactics like “limited spots for men” or “women’s list full,” creating false expectations of balanced attendance and romantic success. In reality, many events are unbalanced or poorly attended.

What’s more troubling is the emotional impact. After repeated failures, the follow-up messages seem designed to guilt participants into trying again, without any real support or acknowledgment of individual needs. There is no consideration for those of us who require emotional connection over quick surface-level interactions, nor any adjustments for neurodivergent or dyslexic participants. The booking systems and forms are difficult to navigate, and there are no options to disclose orientation or accessibility requirements.

Overall, the system feels less like a genuine dating service and more like a mechanism to keep men paying without delivering results. I would urge the company to reconsider its advertising language, improve accessibility and inclusivity, and offer real support for people who don’t fit the typical fast-paced dating mold.

Until changes are made, I cannot recommend these events for demisexual or neurodivergent men seeking meaningful connection.

In my late forties, I am on the dating scene for the first time in my life. Not wanting to use dating apps or speed dating, the format used by Single and Mingle sounded perfect.
I felt at ease not long after arriving. The host was pleasant and accommodating. The welcome drink is ideal for registering your arrival and allowing you to mingle immediately.
Met some interesting people and had some laughs. There's no pressure to decide on the night who you would like to meet again as Single and Mingle email the next day. You can fill in a form to request a re-connection with up to 3 people.

I enjoyed my evening in Edinburgh on Thursday night meeting lots of lovely people. I would attended another. I have found the post event submission form a little disappointing because it`s not really made clear that you have to get the name and the first initial of their surname of anyone you`d like to meet again. I hope the organisers pass on the details otherwise it`s seems pointless. You also get no confirmation email say they`ve received your request? Hopefully a simpler process will be applied in the future. I would still recommend though.

Attended the single and mingle night at Revolution in Liverpool recently. Have to say how great our organisers were. Lovely, funny girls who helped everyone relax. I went along with a friend and it wasn't as busy as we hoped. At first a little awkward but the prosecso welcome drink helped us take a bit of time to feel more comfortable. An interesting and eclectic mix of people from various locations. The time passed quickly once we got talking in different groups and a few of us headed out to a local bar and danced the rest of the night away (as it was the day before Good Friday), which was super fun and one I'll remember.
A little note about the Revolution. Not enough bar staff which meant long waits. Not good when on a paid event.

I have tried dating apps and got nowhere. This was my first Single & Mingle event, it was mixed-age, drinks were included, there was a 50-50 balance of men and women. Every now and then the organiser asked people to leave their comfort groups and mingle. Being a bit on the shy side I was delighted to end the evening successfully. Couldn't be happier.

First time at a Single and Mingle event. Went on my own and was a tad nervous. Great welcome by the hosts to make you feel relaxed. Initially not quite sure how it worked but soon found the rhythm. As well as one to one chat with people, there were groups of people talking which made the conversations easier. Met some lovely people but unfortunately did not take name details down at the time, which I recommend you to do if you wish to connect further. No pressure in the event and it turned out to be a great evening, so much so, a group if 6 of us decided to carry on the evening at other venues till 2 in the morning. Oops! Will definitely go to another local event as I found the experience not as daunting as I first thought.

A nice relaxed evening, in a nice venue with a perfect location and pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Our host did a great job and was engaging and got people talking. I have really enjoyed my night and would recommend these nights to anyone. Please keep doing them in Nottingham!

So at first I wasn't struck on Single and Mingle at all because I expected there to be around 200 people at the event but there was only 20! As the night wore on I saw Jenga on the table so started playing it with a few others. It had questions on the bricks like 'what's your ideal first date?' etc. I started talking to someone, got on really well and we're going on a date next week :) I've been on a few different events and never really met anyone.

I have never done anything like this before and to be honest, was extremely hesitant. I went with a friend but lots of people were there alone and it was a really great night. We didn't have expectations to meet 'the one', we just wanted to have a fun night and that's exactly what we did! Talked to some amazing people, had some drinks and felt super comfortable and at ease the whole time. The hosts were fab and welcoming.

I treat Single and Mingle as a good value night out where I can meet people whom I would otherwise never meet. Most of the venues are good, and in the Nottingham area are accessible either by car or tram. There is generally a relaxed atmosphere with the safe knowledge that the attendees are single and wanting to meet other singles, certainly without the 'wild west' nature of dating apps. I would say you should attend several events without high expectations to get the flavour and used to the feel in general. I have been attending for well over a year and look forward to each outing. Give it a whirl!
