Thank you Steve for taking the time to write a review and reading our blog on British cars. And for pointing out our error, which we have corrected,

We have to say though that your tone is rather unpleasant and how a simple blog can be irresponsible when it has one fact wrong is beyond us.

We are a small family business doing all we can to support British craftsmanship and reviews like yours do nothing to help the cause of supporting other small British businesses.

You have not even purchased from Sir Gordon Bennett, giving SGB 1 star decreases the opportunity for us to help purvey more British brands. You must've felt great when you finished your ridicules keyboard warrior rant.

We do hope you have something more interesting in your life than using 'CAPITALS' to shout at websites that you haven't even purchased from.

Hello Ymke. Thank you for your review. And thank you for your order. Great choice - we absolutely love Heather Borg's products. To recap. Heather Borg makes items to order in 5 working days. Your order was received Sunday 22nd of October. Put into production Monday 23rd of October. And we received confirmation that it was shipped this weekend and due to arrive with you very soon. We received your email Sunday 29th and responded within 24 hours, it would have been sooner but we don't open the office at the weekend. I am sorry that there was confusion regarding the delivery times (shown on the email confirmation) and the manufacturing times (at the top of the product page). We try to make this clear but I appreciate that we've probably not made it clear enough here. Sorry about that. The main thing is that your beautiful purse is nearing arrival with you. We will check in with you again soon to make sure it arrived safely. Looking forward to you receiving it. Yours, Dan & Neil

Dear Salamander. Thank you for your review. Sorry if you are not happy with the service. We do not have a telephone number correct. We use our customer service email. Usually we reply very quickly but on this ocassion we have failed to do so and it has taken a couple of days. I am very sorry about this. Not our usual standards but caused by some staff absences which we should have better prepared for. To recap. You placed an order for a beautiful Mossman Trunk. Mossman make to order and dispatch in 14 working days. You placed your order Sun 27th Aug and it was completed and shipped Thu 7th Sep. It should be with you very soon. Apologies for any confusion caused between the delivery time in transit (3-5 days) and the make time (14 working days, detailed on the product page at the top of the product info). Hello Caroline, thank you for leaving a review. We are sorry that you are unhappy with the service we've provided. Just to recap. The item purchased was made to order. We received a request to return as the item was "unsuitable". We confirmed that made to order items are non-returnable as they are made specifically for you. At the top of each product description it informs the customer if an item is made to order. And our returns policy provides clear information about how we handle returns, with a specific section that confirms made to order items are not returnable. All items we sell are of exceptional quality. If there is a fault we will either fix the issue, replace the item or issue a refund. This is also detailed in our returns policy. Again we are sorry that you are not happy with the service but hope you can understand why we didn't accept a return for your item. Yours, Dan & Neil.

Hello Sally. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry that you are disappointed with the product you ordered. We have sold many Heather Borg bags and only ever had excellent feedback before about the quality of the items. Just to recap. You ordered the Heather Borg kodiak leather backpack Wed 14th Jun. This item has a 5-7 day make time and it was shipped to you Tue 30th Jun. Like many of the smaller manufacturers we are proud to showcase, Heather Borg items are made to to order for each customer. Made to order items are not able to be returned unless there is a manufacturing fault with them. Made to order items are made specifically for you. (If there is a fault we will either fix the issue, replace the item or issue a refund it is important to add.) Made to order is more typical for smaller businesses and is different to larger highstreet brands who have mass manufactured goods. We ensure that information about whether the item is made to order is present right at the top of each product page as we know this is important information for our customers. And we give additional information about this on our Deliveries & Returns page which contains our Return Policy. I am very sorry that we cannot accept a return for your item and hope you understand the reasons why this is an important way to operate for small artisan manufacturers. Yours, Dan & Neil
