I attended the setting out training from 31/07/23 to 04/09/23 in Northampton at the casuals rugby club. We use dumpy levels, rotary lasers and TS16 total stations during the week. Matt is very knowledgeable when it comes to using the equipment and is very passionate about teaching others. He set us various challenges to get used to using different functions on the total station. The location was great with lots of outdoor space to practice. My confidence using the equipment has increased a lot since attending this course.

Matt was superb in explaining the ground level scenarios of site conditions and proper use of how to utilize total station in a conservative way.

The lecturer/trainer Matt was excellent in communication, management and skills.
When he spoke he was clear, non judgemental extremely friendly and engaging and he would ensure he never went too fast and everyone in the group was always on board before the next point started.
He made sure not to start a key point until everyone was present, lol break or phone call, it just made us all feel important and included.
His technical know how was excellent as everything worked after he showed us. If we came to an issue we would always be able to ask him. He gave everyone loads of time during practicals and tackled specific issues people had and made sure we all understood how to carry out practicals and made us carry pout the practicals while he watched.
He was so kind, and everything ran smoothly and all the equipment was working fine.

I think it was a great course at an excellent venue with wonderful grounds for uninterrupted practice and training on various surveying instruments and equipment, including the latest Robotic Total Stations.

I attended this coarse in may which was delivered to the highest of standards by Matt.

Very good course carried out by a great trainer in Matt, for those wanting to go into surveying and levelling, Matt is the best man for it with this course as he really does go above and beyond by making the training fun and taking out extra time to ensure we understood the different methods he was teaching. Would highly recommend!!
