Meine persönliche Erfahrung mit Sixt Ride war leider Àußerst enttÀuschend.

Nach der Landung am Flughafen musste ich zunÀchst etwa eine Stunde auf den Transfer warten. WÀhrend dieser Zeit war weder der Fahrer noch der Kundenservice fÃŒr mich erreichbar. Anschließend wurde ich nicht – wie ursprÃŒnglich vorgesehen – mit dem angekÃŒndigten Fahrer bzw. Fahrzeug abgeholt, sondern von einem anderen Fahrer in einem anderen Fahrzeug transportiert. Aufgrund der fehlenden Erreichbarkeit und der kurzfristigen Änderung hatte ich dabei erhebliche Bedenken hinsichtlich der Organisation und meines persönlichen SicherheitsgefÃŒhls.

Auch der anschließende Kontakt mit dem Kundenservice hat meinen Eindruck leider nicht verbessert. Auf meine aus meiner Sicht sachlich und konstruktiv vorgetragene Beschwerde empfand ich den Umgang als unfreundlich und wenig kundenorientiert. Hinzu kamen fÃŒr mich lange Wartezeiten in der telefonischen Warteschleife.

Insgesamt entspricht diese Erfahrung in keiner Weise dem Service, den ich von einem Anbieter in diesem Preissegment erwartet hÀtte. Besonders irritierend finde ich, dass American Express Sixt Ride als Partner ausgewÀhlt hat. Nach meiner persönlichen Erfahrung passt die von mir erlebte ServicequalitÀt nicht zu den Erwartungen, die ich an einen solchen Partner von American Express stellen wÌrde.

Ich kann daher lediglich meine eigene Erfahrung schildern – und diese war in Bezug auf Erreichbarkeit, Organisation und Kundenservice ausgesprochen negativ.

airport transfer with Sixt

Very reliable airport transfer with Sixt Ride. Booking well in advance through the app was easy and very affordable. Communication with the driver was excellent and everything went smoothly. The only minor issue was that the driver’s arrival time wasn’t displayed correctly in the app. Overall, a highly recommended service.

More then standard

Pick up was really nice. The driver was 30 min too early here but we left on the selected time. The driver picked up the bags for us and did put them in the trunk.

The car was very clean and the driver was very calm and the drive had a very nice speed of 120kmh over the autobahn to the airport.

He even knew a way at the airport to cut the drive down by 10 minute and then delivered us at the exact door at the airport where our air plane provider is.

I am always very satisfied, everything works, every driver is punctual and accommodating. However, it is always an expensive fun.

We had a great day in Doha

We had a great day in Doha. With a 12 hr layover, we used SIXT to drive us around the city for 9 hours. It was perfect! We got to see so many things in a short period of time. Our driver was excellent- he was a great driver and very kind. We highly recommend this service.

Do not book at Istanbul airport (SAW)

Do not book at Istanbul airport (SAW). Nobody waited after arrival. You are directed to a house outside of the airport and they let you wait 30 minutes for transfer. Then driver tells you to lie to the police about why you sit in the car. Very strange and not reliable

Much too expensive compared to Grab or


Much too expensive compared to Grab or Uber, even with Amex Voucher. Many times extra wait times were billed without reason. Was sorted out later, but annoying.

While our pricing may be slightly higher than Uber for your desired journey, there's an important distinction: every driver on our platform is professionally licensed, thoroughly trained, and fully insured, ensuring your complete peace of mind.

We do offer on-demand and taxi services on our platform as well, which are comparable to Uber in pricing and service type.
For an elevated experience, you're also welcome to book in our Business or First class segments, where you'll be matched with luxury vehicles and professionally dressed drivers in suits and ties.

Booked a SIXT ride pickup at Newark


Booked a SIXT ride pickup at Newark Airport (EWR), specifically because they let you reserve multiple car seats in advance and offered in-terminal meet & greet — important for us since we were traveling with three young children (ages 2, 5, and 7) all requiring car seats. We paid a real premium for this over standard rideshare options because of that.
Our driver was on-site, in contact with us by phone, and agreed to wait a few extra minutes when we said we were running slightly behind. He left anyway, without further warning. When we called SIXT's hotline immediately afterward, we were told no replacement driver could be provided — despite their own booking conditions stating they'd "find an alternative solution" in exactly this situation. We ended up having to arrange a last-minute substitute ride without car seats for the kids.
Then SIXT charged us the full fare and sent a cancellation notice falsely claiming the driver and support team "were unable to locate or contact" us. We have text messages proving continuous contact right up through their own stated cutoff time. When we disputed this, their written response gave a different, inconsistent explanation, and their customer service simply redirected us back to the same team that had already denied the refund.
The specific feature we paid extra for — reliable pickup with advance car seat booking — is exactly what failed, and the company's own explanation for what happened doesn't hold up against their own records. Would not trust this service for anything involving young children or a tight schedule.

Chaosclub oder nur MissverstÀndnis?

Es kam in MÌnchen am 15.8. zu einer Sperrung der Landebahn und zu VerspÀtungen. Jeder wusste das, nur Sixt nicht. Dann wurde es abenteuerlich, Sixt stornierte die Buchung, plötzlich war ein neue Buchung da, und auch ein Fahrer war zur Stelle und beförderte mich. Und Höhepunkt: mir wurde die Fahrt ZWEIMAL in Rechnung gestellt, auf eine RÌckerstattung warte ich genau so wie auf die Beantwortung von etlichen Mails.
Bucht eure Fahrten lieber woanders.

Auch nach 10 Tagen keine Mail, kein Anruf, keine RÃŒckbuchung. Sixt Ride schuldet mir immer noch 50 Euro.

1 good, 1 bad, left stranded

I book two 1-way rides for a concert. The ride to the concert was great, showed up on time, got us there quick and comfortable.

The return ride cancelled on me 5 minutes after they were supposed to pick me up. I have book the ride at least a week ahead of time.
