10/10 best host if you want to loose server data!

I started using SlothHost, based on reputation, on August 12th and on August 27th, all of the datacenters were shut down because the CEO (Nathan aka 'Upstream') had failed to pay them and had vanished. Even his employees could not contact him. Nobody had a chance to retrieve backups of their data or anything. The guy just literally vanished and his employees did their best to wind the company down to a close before moving elsewhere. What a trash experience. Never deal with this CEO again in any capacity. If he comes knocking to mow your yard every week, steer far clear of him and find some high school kid do throw a few bucks to. Absolute disaster.

How do you lose contact of the CEO for a FULL MONTH?!?!

Thought this was a good and trustworthy company, but this turned out to be completely false. The CEO is quite unprofessional, and just disappeared without saying anything or having a contingency plan to run the systems in his absence. I have lost my entire server, plus all of its data, because the owner was absent for a few weeks and didn't pay the bills, causing every server to be shut down.

This is not a negative review of SlothHost. This is a warning that they're shutting down and to not buy any services from them.

Ceo missing for weeks on end? Servers going down due to a billing issue a few days ago and he has been unreachable. Sounds like an exit with the money.

Theres been many cases I've experienced where the bigger a host gets, the worse they become. Slothhost is a rather small host and definately the best I've ever used as of 7/1/2020.

I have never had a worse experience in my life, can not recommend, please don't by from them unless you like to talk to bad support every single day because they close your server

This host has been great, from the hardware to the support I have had no issues. I got exactly what I paid for, and they are very transparent with their hardware in their plans. Great support, transparency, and smooth uptime are all signs of a great host.

I've been running a small server for 5 friends on RLCraft for about 2 weeks now. Everything has been running very smoothly.
I opted for the 8GB budget server, on a German Host, being this was the closest available to our homes in Scotland.
Initially I had some netty errors which were causing frequent crashes, however this turned out to not be an issue with the service itself, but with my own poor wifi connection. After switching to a cable connection I haven't had a single issue.
The server runs as smoothly as a single player experience.
Highly recommended for a group of friends interested in running RLCraft together.

This is the first server I've hosted and it's just for a few friends. The 24/7 uptime is amazing and there have been zero complaints. Support has been fast and I only needed it when I was choosing which package to buy!

Honestly, what else can I say that hasn't been said already. Folks over at SlothHosts, are incredibly kind, super helpful, and communicative. I've been hosting Minecraft servers for around 4 years, and I'm not a fan of jumping from host to host. My first host was with BisectHosting, and while it was"okay" I needed more, so I switched to PebbleHost, for the cheap pricing, but I quickly noticed that cheap, also did not equal for better performance. So I stuck with PebbleHost for a long time, but then I realized that it was critical to get a new host with more power. I needed better hardware. So I spent my time looking over on r/AdminCraft where I found the monthly discussion thread of server hosts, and that's where I read about SlothHosts.

First thing I did was talk to support over on their website, and oh me oh my was I pleased to find such helpful, understanding staff members. Which answered all of my questions, and helped alleviate my stress of finding a good host with great hardware. They were in the process of deploying new nodes in New York, which was exactly what I needed, and I went for it. Later on, got another server from a different location in the US and couldn't be more happy with the results. My 2 servers have never had any problems, and their performance has been stellar, 1 of them is on the budget plan while the 2nd is on the premium plan. If any issues arose on the server, they were because I didn't adjust things correctly and not a problem with the host! Staff are top notch, the panel is great, server is amazing, and I think they deserve much more recognition.

I see SlothHost only becoming better and better over time, constantly listening to their customers and implementing suggestions put in by the community over on Discord. I honestly couldn't be happier, and feel relaxed that I no longer had the issues that I faced with my previous hosts like slow support, and poor performance. If you're looking for a new host, give SlothHost a try.

Excellent provider, zero downtime, A+ support. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Customer service was beyond helpful, and answered our support ticket in what seemed like less than a minute! The server we received runs smoothly with 100+ mods on it. There's been no hiccups or problems since the server has started, amazing!

1) Cheaper than any alternative
2) Support responds within literal minutes, both on discord and to tickets
3) 0 problems
4) Nice, responsive staff

Only problem I've had is the inability to change startup flags or java version without filing a ticket. Otherwise perfect.
