Absolutely scam
I bought a tickets and a few hours they told me prices changed increased by 3000$ (non sense) offer me other expensive tickets that I would need to drive 3 hrs to nearby state airport. When I declined and requested refund they said it is non refundable

My opinion... Total scam company! A flight I booked for $184.00 suddenly went up to almost $800

The representative I spoke with was rude, cut me off several times and worked really hard to upsell the flight. If the price wasn't set, they shouldn't have posted it. Original costs not refundable. Posting with the BBB today also.

This company is running a scam. They quoted a low fare and after obtaining my credit card and personal info, asked me to call them to confirm the reservation. During the conversation, I was informed that I purchased a standby ticket and to confirm the seat, I have to pay additional $75. When I questioned the higher amount, I was told that the airline oversells their seats. When I asked to cancel the transaction, I was told that they will not issue a refund as I had purchased a non-refundable ticket. I went ahead and paid the additional amount to ensure a confirmed reservation. On the day of travel, I was stopped at the security point as my date of birth did not match my true date of birth. I had to go back to the ticket counter to sort that out. Upon further checking, I found out that this company had fraudulently altered my personal information, including my phone number denying me access to my own account with the airline. They are not only engaged in deceptive acts and practices, but they are also running a fraudulent operation. By altering traveller's information, they are forcing them to contact them to sort it out in an attempt to extract more money from them at the last moment before their flight. This company is also associated with Travel Experts USA located in Florida. Together, they are ripping of consumers and getting away with it.

When I bought airfare, I was told I had 1 free checked suitcase. ..it didn't happen: I checked online and was charged $95.00.I called the office then, I got transferred around, no one would give me a solution!! On the trip to London, I was supposed to only pay $35.00 for a checked bag and $20 for carry on...I paid $130 for the same bag and carry on!! On the way from London to USA (8 hours) no meal was served!!
Smart cheap fates???

Booked flights to with a return flight back home. We arrived in Vancouver from Austin Texas. I checked on our return flight back to Austin after our 8 day cruise, to find out it was canceled. Called the booking agent to find out all they could is charge me more money to book us a flight home. That they never notified us it was canceled. The only other flight they could get us was a flight home 2 day later for free, that means 2 more nights in a hotel room. So I went to Delta and talked to a young Lady for help the nice lady made some phone calls and got us on a return flight home on the 8th of June when we get off the ship. The same flight she got us is the same flight that the agent tried to charge us over $400 extre for, that i got for free going through Delta myself. I will never use SmartCheapfares ever again

I will never use them again it was nothing but a hassle and to reach them they have no problem keeping you on hold for 2 hours once they have your business on the way home I could not get anybody for 2 hours and I had three phones trying to reach them to check us in I eventually had to call the airlines and beg with them to assign us a seat which they did. There was six of us traveling with minor children so it's important we sat together. They also initially started quoting me one price with one airline at one airport which included luggage and it end up being a different airport a different airline it was not a cheap adventure as the airline they put us with charge an exorbitant amount for luggage which they told me initially my luggage was included and then they say it wasn't never ever again will I work with these people my advice to you is to go direct never use these you get what you pay for

This is NOT a legitimate Company. They are a scam. The worst part is your credit card company will not protect you. Smartcheapfares.com will steal your money and get away with it. DO NOT book a flight with this company. FRAUD!!!
