On 6th August 2019, I paid for the SmaryDry to provide a damp proofing solution for my property.

On 3rd November 2019, I contacted SmartDry to notify them that the dampness within the wall remained, and appears to have worsened. I asked for a consultant to visit the property but was told this was not possible.

On 1st July 2021, I contacted SmartDry by phone to notify them that the dampness within the wall remained. At the time, I was selling the property and the buyers arranged for a surveyor to visit the property. Within the surveyors report, the surveyor noted dampness within the wall. SmaryDry spoke with the prospective buyers of the property and confirmed that the SmartDry guarantee is valid. The buyers subsequently pulled out of the property as they had concerns that the damp issue would not be resolved by SmartDry within the required timeframe.

In May 2022, I tried to remortgage the property. The surveyor from the mortgage company refused to remortgage the property due to very high levels of damp. A damp reading was completed on the walls that SmartDry had treated. This showed a 'very high' and 'wet' reading of 59.8. As such, I am unable to remortgage the property and am suffering financial consequences.

Overall, the quality of the workmanshp has been terrible. The customer service is non-existent (I have tried to contact them multiple times in May 2022 without any response). Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Since contacting regarding my damp proof course has failed they haven’t been contactable since. This wasn’t a cheap easy fix. I have tried contacting them numerous times either via email or phone and had no response. Feel like this has been a big scam. It’s ok saying there a life time guarantee but when you can’t get in contact that’s as good as the paper it’s written on. I’m hoping that seeing this review someone might have the decency to contact me

I note that all the reviews are very positive about the initial installation and I would agree with that hence the 2 stars. However, 3 years on, my experience is that the system had limited effect and had since been better resolved using the knowledge and experience of a good builder, so I would be interested to know how many customers are still so satisfied a after living with it for a few years

Exceptional service and work from a business very understanding of the needs of my business. It was like working with an internal team - with how much they cared about delivering a quality result. Really enjoyed working with their management team, top experience, would recommend to anyone.

SmartDry gave me sound advice and were quick to come and install their system. The installation was neat and they cleaned up nicely after. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend them!

Really impressed with the service. The surveyor came out and checked our property, pointing out a couple of areas of rising damp. A couple of weeks later the installer came and fitted the smartdry bricks. It's been about 6 months since the work was complete and I can see a real difference.

We’ve been having a musty smell in the hallway and living room for ages and have tried everything from ventilation to sprays and dehumidifiers but nothing worked. Smartdry installed their system and within a couple of months the smell was gone. Highly Recommend!

We tried various methods to get rid of the damp but nothing seemed to work. Smartdry came out and told us how we could solve our issues, we installed the smartdry dry bricks and within months the mould didn’t return anymore and our damp issues were solved. I will recommend them to friends and family.

Thanks to SmartDry my damp problems are finally gone. Our holiday home is very old and we’ve always suffered from damp, but haven’t been able to find a permanent solution. The SmartDry system completely made sense to us so we went ahead, and even though they told us we had to wait for a year for it to work, we’ve already seen the results. Highly recommended...

I called SmartDry as a last resort, as nothing else has worked. They were kind and efficient- they installed their bricks within two weeks of their visit and left everything clean and tidy. It’s been a few months and I can already see results- no more damp smell in my living room!

For years I had problems with damp in my home. Recently the smartdry bricks have been installed, and it solved the problem. Highly recommended.

I'm so pleased that I found SmartDry the answer to my damp problem.The survey was done very thoroughly all round the house. Every thing was explained so plainly, how the work would be done.Very professional and friendly.
The work was done the next week and took two days.
all outside and it rained,but not a problem.It was so clean and tidy and again professional and friendly just got on with it.
I have every confidence in yhis process and the fact that it will be checked after a period of time is a real bonus.

Really excellent service from original enquiry to work being carried out

Too early to comment on the efficacy of the system, but the firm was excellent from initial contact to installation.

Recently had a damp solution installed by SmartDry. Will obviously be a few months before I see the full benefit of this work but I have to say that all dealings with SmartDry from start to finish were excellent My first conversation with Glyn filled me with confidence that I was making the right choice. He was very professional and honest in his approach to my requirements. Oliver. the surveyor was also very professional and explained in detail the benefits of having a SmartDry installation to solve my issues with damp. I was not present during the installation but was informed that the work was carried out professionally and efficiently from start to clean up.The end results look brilliant. I can definitely recommend using SmartDry to anyone who is looking for a damp solution.

I was pleased with Smart dry from the beginning at our initial query to completion. The work was very tidy and good communication throughout.
A year later and we were still having an issue with some damp on one of the walls and I thought that I wouldn’t hear anything back or would be fobbed off as it had been a long time but I couldn’t have been more wrong!
Glyn got back to me very sincerely trying to work out exactly what was going on. He did many tests and spent a lot of time trying to figure it all out for us, all because of the smart dry guarantee and their genuine want to help and make customers happy! We now have deeper chambers in our bricks (you can’t tell from normal ones at all!)

Excellent pre and post service. The surveyer was on time, pleasant and explained the system. Once ordered, a quick fit time was arranged at my convenience.fitter arrived on time , work completed and I wouldn't have known work had been done the clearing up was so good. 1 week later my room smells better. An amazing product and service.

Excellent service from start to finish. Explained everything thoroughly, arrived on time, everywhere was tidy when the job was finished. Very happy with the outcome and quality of the job, my house no longer smells of damp! Thank you!
