I ordered a book as part of a birthday present it's been nearly 2 weeks and I've received nothing even though they said it has been dispatched but yodel say it's still with sender I have emailed them twice with no reply which is not acceptable I wont be using this company again and wont recommend it to anyone

Brilliant service from these guys and great communication.

I bought a couple of book from this website as it was the cheapest I could find them. Books were in perfect condition and delivery was on time. Very pleased and would use again.

Ordered a number of books of which one was missing. I emailed twice with no response but was relieved to receive the missing book. HOWEVER, I have seen tonight I have been charged a second time plus postage for the book. Not happy.

*Update: order has been rectified.*At present this is 1 star rating unless rectified!!!! Order came of 4 books but 1 was a set of 3 with 1 missing and a book for a 5 year old!!! Have emailed the day I got my order and no response. Just emailed again and shall await yet any response if not now means I have to purchase the set elsewhere!!!! Not happy!!!!!

I ordered a book for my granddaughter's Xmas present. According to the courier, Yodel, it was delivered. According to me, I couldn't find it, neither did Yodel bother to send me a photo of whatever corner of Hell they'd delivered it to. Mind you, I was messaging a chatbot because hey, a human being would have been too much trouble for Yodel.

I reported this to Smeikalbooks today and they have already arranged to send me a replacement. I can't speak too highly of their service and customer care. They were brilliant: attentive and responsive to their customers, and most important, human rather than chatbot.
I have suggested they get another courier company though ...

I complain about delivery but the fault was with the delivery company. Book received and they came back to apologise. Also my family didn’t tell me it had arrived! Sorry

I placed my order on 14th of September and today I received them. It was a pack of 4 and I am very happy to have been able to buy them at the low price they advertised them at.
The confirmation for my order was prompt and I was notified when the delivery will be made. Everything ran smoothly and I could not be happier.

Just purchased 15 discounted books. One was missing from the first delivery, but the mistake was very quickly rectified. All books were received in great condition.

Don’t order from this website!!!

First of all they missed a book from my order. I emailed about the missing book and never received a response from them. Days later I randomly get the missing book, only for it to not be the book I ordered.
No customer service whatsoever.

I discovered Smeikal Books by chance when trying to find a particular title which they had for the lowest price I could find. They were also running a rather inviting 50% off sale on many titles at the same time, so I ended up buying four books from them.

Unfortunately, my first order with the company did not go smoothly. Somehow, someone at the company messed up and only shipped half of my order out to me.

So not the best first impression.

Credit where credit is due though, the company were quick to acknowledge the mistake and rectify the issue. I now have all the books I bought in my possession.
