The customer service I received was second to none. The two gentlemen who delivered my new chair were excellent, they are a credit to your company and there families. I'm also very happy with my new Himola recliner chair. Good old fashioned customer service is a rarity today.

I cannot fault this company! I contacted them via WhatsApp initially and had a speedy response to my request. I’ve placed an order today over the phone and the lady could not have been more friendly and helpful. I used this company on the recommendation of my cousin and would not hesitate to recommend them to others

I’ve used Smiths in the past and always had good, if somewhat expensive, experiences. However, my most recent interaction with them was deeply disappointing.

Following some building work, Smiths were hired to refit my carpet. Unfortunately, the experience was far below the standard I had previously come to expect. Only one fitter was sent, despite us being assured that two would be provided. Possibly as a result, the quality of the fitting was poor, with the carpet raised in some areas. Additionally, the skirting boards were damaged in several places where the fitter’s knife had cut into them. To make matters worse, the fitter was extremely rude when the damage was pointed out.

While Smiths admitted that the damage was unacceptable, their response fell short of expectations. They highlighted that they had stored the carpet and price-matched it when initially purchased, suggesting that they had made little profit from the job. As compensation, they offered to cover the cost of paint for me to repair the damage myself.

Given the overall experience, I had hoped for a far better resolution. Sadly, I cannot recommend Smiths based on this encounter and will not be using them again.

Second time that I have purchased furniture at Smiths. Chris was very helpful in explaining the difference between the various sofa's and we felt no time pressure, despite taking some time to decide on the final model. First class service and competitive price.

Better price than I found anywhere else but what made the real difference was the outstandingly good customer service by 'phone. It was in a different league to that offered in other stores.

Query made by telephone. Excellent help from sales manager. He answered my queries and it was then easy to place order and pay deposit. Very happy as always with the service.

From first initiation by telephone with Smiths we felt we were dealing with a company who were knowledgeable about the furniture we were interested in. On visiting showroom the salesperson Christopher, spent a lot of time (and patience) informing us of details of furniture we were interested in which we found most helpful.

Great range of furniture. Chris was extremely helpful guiding us through the various pros and cons. Very welcoming, no pressure and excellent product knowledge. Very happy with our purchases and we will return. Highly recommended family firm.

We were looking for a new matress. Smith's of Harrogate had an amazing choice that could have been overwhelming. However, the colleague who served us was very helpful and had good product knowledge. He was able to guide us through all of the options, that enabled us to make an informed choice. At no time did we feel pressurised and when we made our purchase, we felt that we had an excellent mattress at a fair price.

We needed a mattress, I called the shop and spoke to Frank who gave me all the information I asked for and based on that went into the shop and bought a Harrison Spinks very firm mattress

I wanted to purchase a specific Ercol table.
From my first telephone enquiry to delivery of the table everyone at Smiths was knowledgeable, polite, professional and friendly.
I live quite a distance from Harrogate so could not visit the shop personally and had some apprehension about buying an expensive product over the 'phone. I need not have worried.
