So I had my exchange starting in February and I literally started looking for a place in January which was way too late. Managed to get something through Socials but it was tight. The whatsapp notifications were actually really helpful because I could see all the new rooms coming in without having to check websites all day.

Pretty straightforward. Picked my city, set my budget, got listings on whatsapp. Booked a studio through Uniplaces for my semester in Milan. Nothing crazy to report it just worked, oh and also saved like 200 with their discount. So can advise. Needed to wait a bit for a good / listing that matched with me, but at the end got it.

Not gonna lie I left it way too late and was panicking. Had 10 days before my flight to Rotterdam and still no room. Got a few matches on whatsapp and managed to secure something last minute. Could have been less stressful if I started earlier but that's on me not them.

That’s a bit sad but the hardest part of going on exchange isn't the visa or the university paperwork, it's finding somewhere to live when you've never been to the city. You guys made that part less painful and I found a room in Rotterdam in less than 2 weeks. Thank youu guys!

That's actually the first time seeing such a quality group chats with all exchange students going to the same course as myself. Super happy that I found this community on reddit! I believe students deserve more attention then we think and you guys are doing that well! thank you

Grateful to have found this group! Got to meet so many new people in Melbourne and also get advice on housing and prep. The events they send every week are also a nice bonus. Would highly recommend for international students coming to a new country looking to make meaningful connections! 🙏

When I first moved to the Netherlands, I thought it will be very difficult to make friends and engage with other students. Socials really changed my experience here. If you’re new to a city, definitely worth having a look!

Found socials before starting my exchange semester abroad and it helped quite much. It gave me access to communities with other new students in Barcelona + found my room in the group. Nice!
