I’ve been using social tip as a small creator for a number of months now and think it’s EXCELLENT! It’s such an easy way to monetise your content and the selection of brands you can choose from is fab! I’ve already made over £300 (just from 11 posts!) if you’re content isn’t as niche, and you’re more into UGC, you could really earn well through social tip! Highly recommend to everyone posting on social media, there’s really nothing to lose

It is easy to set up, simple to use, and honestly motivates me to create more knowing my work is being supported. The inbuilt chat is also very prompt with responses, which makes everything feel even more seamless.

I’ve been using Social Tip since March, and at first it felt like a standout platform. The rewards were fair and really motivating, especially as someone new to UGC and content creation.

However, recent updates have made things frustrating. Even though my engagement has increased, my rewards have gone down, and sometimes I earn nothing on posts that perform well. Brands also disappear without warning, even after I’ve invested in products, which feels like a lack of transparency.

Changes to rewards and allowances happen without notice, and the app feels less user-friendly than before. I also miss being able to see what other posts earned, as it helped me improve.

Overall, it started strong but now feels less reliable, and it’s made me question whether to continue using it.

Payments are quick, usually within a couple of days, and withdrawing money is simple.

My favorite app on my phone !!!! I downloaded social tip as I’m saving for my wedding and it’s honestly been amazing for that !!!! There have been so many extras I can add to my wedding due to money I’ve made from social tip, not to mention all the amazing brands that are on there that I’m literally being paid to purchase. I had a hard time monetising Instagram before social tip despite having a good following but it’s been amazing !!!! Would scream from the roof tops how much I love this app !!!

Using social tip is genuinely a game changer. I’m 18 years old and a student, social tip is perfect for when you want to make a little bit extra on the side of a busy and chaotic life. When I saw makes little bit extra some videos will make up to £20 which is something I’m so grateful for, it means that I can have a little treat on the food shop or a item of clothing throughout the week rather being tight and conscious of what I’m always spending. Not to mention but the products you promote using social tip are products you genuinely using in your everyday life. For example hovis bread is a food product I’ve reviewed and promoted on social tip, the bread i used everyday and got paid 3x the amount I paid for it. I think this is the perfect app for an extra bit or cash or even if you’re starting up your UGC/ influencer journey it’s brillaint for building portfolios

I joined Social Tip to earn a little extra money and share honest reviews of products I genuinely enjoy using. Unfortunately, after a month, my account was suspended without any warning or explanation. The money I had already earned was removed from my balance, meaning I lost both my time and the money I had spent purchasing products to review.

When I contacted support, I was told my account “did not feel genuine” because I also post content about saving money. I asked for further clarification, but my messages were ignored.

I logged in again 2 weeks later to ask for clarification and to raise my concerns about double standards regarding rules, and they had no record of my account being suspended (it definitely was) though the money I had earned never returned to my account.

During the time I was active, some videos earned only pennies (36p for a reel), feedback was generic, and the expectations for what counted as “acceptable” seemed to change every time I uploaded. My final video (the one posted right before suspension) is currently on 2,000 views, so I’m unsure what more I could have done to meet their standards.

Overall, the lack of transparency, inconsistent guidance, and removal of earned funds has been extremely disappointing.

This app has the opportunity to be great, however they do not adhere to what they say they have been created for. It feels like creators with smaller followings are penalised whilst larger professional creators are paid double.

I’ve been using Social Tip and honestly, it’s one of the easiest ways I’ve found to start monetising content without needing a huge following or constant brand deals.

I think this is especially great for aspiring content creators. If you’re just starting out and want to build confidence around earning from your content, this is such a low-pressure way to begin. No gatekeeping, no complicated setup, just a straightforward way to get started.

It’s not an overnight money-maker, but if you’re consistent and building a genuine community, it’s a really smart tool to have in your corner.

I wanted to share an honest experience using SocialTip as a content creator.

When I first started, I genuinely loved the app. The rewards felt fair, the opportunities were exciting, and it actually felt like creators were valued for the effort we put in. It made me want to keep creating, keep improving, and even invest my own money into trying products through the platform.

But over the past few months, something has shifted.

The rewards have become noticeably lower — even for content that meets (and often exceeds) the requirements. What’s been most disappointing is the lack of transparency around how those rewards are determined. As creators, we’re putting in time, creativity, and in many cases, our own money to purchase and test products. It’s not just a quick post — it’s filming, editing, storytelling, and delivering value.

I’ve personally made purchases through SocialTip because I genuinely wanted to try the products and create quality content around them. So when the reward doesn’t reflect that effort, it feels discouraging.

I still believe in the idea behind SocialTip, and I’d love to continue creating on the platform. But I hope there can be more clarity, consistency, and fairness in the reward system moving forward — because creators notice, and it really impacts how we engage.

I’ve been using the Social Tip app pretty much since it first launched, and I’m so glad I started consistently posting for them. I’ve earned over £4400 so far just by posting on social media about brands I genuinely love, which is something I was already doing anyway without getting paid!

There are SO many choices of brands to post about, loads of different categories.
There has been products I’d actually buy myself anyway, and 9/10 times I’ve been able to earn my money back just from posting a video, and more often than not I end up making a profit too.

By posting for social tip it’s always helping me practice editing, filming styles and helping me become more confident in front of the camera because of how often I’m posting and because I’m always aiming for a high reward.

It’s also opened up so many opportunities I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I’ve worked with some dream brands and built up my portfolio way more than I expected when I first started.

I’ve also grown my following because of how often I’m posting, met fellow creators which I love! They support me online, we support each other, it’s a lovely community to be apart of.

The team behind Social Tip are honestly so lovely and helpful as well. They’ve been really supportive and have given me loads of chances to grow and earn.

No matter your following or engagement, you get paid real money for posting about brands you use and love… it’s a brilliant app and I would recommend it to everyone.

If you’re already active on social media, it just makes sense, you might as well get paid for it!

It’s the dream side hustle! There are 100s of brands to work with, and new ones are added all the time, so there’s always fresh opportunities with both brands I already use and love, as well as new ones to explore! I’ve discovered loads of new brands through the app that I now actually use and enjoy.

I also love that it’s based on the quality of your content rather than follower count. It makes it feel much more inclusive and gives everyone a fair chance to earn. Payments are made within 2 day and withdrawing to your bank account is really easy! 💰

I’ve been using Social Tip since June 2025, and it’s genuinely changed the way I approach my social media.
Before that, I was simply running my Instagram without earning anything from it. Since joining Social Tip, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many amazing brands that have honestly become some of my favourites. I get to use products I genuinely enjoy, share them with my audience, and earn rewards for doing so.
It doesn’t feel forced or transactional — it’s actually fun, natural, and rewarding at the same time. Being able to turn something I was already doing into an income stream has been incredible.
I’d highly recommend Social Tip to anyone looking to grow their social presence and start earning in a way that feels authentic.

Don't bother wasting your time.
This app started off great. Brands stayed on the platform, max tips were reasonable, no need for high follower counts and you got paid within 2 days. I made a decent amount of money on the app and have remained in their top 30 high earners ever since.

However in the last 2 months it has become completely unreliable. Brands come and go without warning, which leaves users spending money on brands to create content for, but by the time the product comes, these brands could be gone from the platform (I've been stung by this a few times). Brands also change their tips whenever they want, again without warning e.g. I posted content for a brand that had a max tip of £40 and in the 48 hours it takes to calculate my tip, the brands max tip dropped to £5 and according to their policy, they can only pay you the max tip which is available at the time your calculation concludes. So I wasted purchasing the product, time and effort producing the content, to receive a max tip of £5 which is nowhere near what the cost of the product was.

It has become clear that the app prioritizes bringing niche products to their platform (for whatever commission they get paid) and let brands come and go as they please, have no commitment to staying on the platform for any amount of time, no commitment to the amount of tips they pay the users and there is no protection offered to the content creators creating content for these brands who are getting their advertisements for next to nothing. The whole premise of this app is to connect brands with content creators for their marketing - now, it feels as though us content creators are being exploited by social tip and the brands using it.

Social tip needs to remember, without us content creators, there will be no reason for brands to use their app and in the various UGC communities I am apart of. Their reputation is going down as quickly as it rose. Do better!
