We bought our rather large first motorhome from these guys. Very helpful, not pushy. When we collected it at their service dept in Durston, nothing but A1 handover. Unfortunately I damaged the electric bed a day after and it went back in. When we collected it they were great. I was a bit embarrassed for what Idid but it won’t happen again, and the big plus? They never charged us for the repair.

This was the second motorhome I purchased in the last 5 years the first time the experience was A+. The experience this time was very much the same, a very relaxed atmosphere plenty coffees and with the least pushy attitude you could imagine.
We bought our van which was made so easy by the salesman Rob. Picked it up a couple weeks later after it had been through their workshop at Durston and was also valeted to the point where the van a 2006 Autocruise Starfire looked brand new in fact a few days later when I filled up with fuel at the filling station just outside Somerset Motorhomes Thornfalcon one chap commented he thought I had a personalized plate as it looked a new van.
Somerset Motorhomes are my go to dealers you can't go wrong with them.

Supportive salesperson, knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy followed excellent, supportive aftercare.

We recently sold our motorhome to Somerset Motorhome Centre. Sent pictures and agreed price on the phone. They collected the van from us in the Scottish Highlands. The whole process was concluded in a week. Very friendly service.

Initially a friendly company, don’t commit to buy till you’ve thoroughly checked for yourself as they promise to do, various faults on returning home was not happy with the van
after a phone call from the company saying they would definitely not refund my money and it was an 8 year old van I sold it at great financial loss, very disappointed and would not deal with this company again.

Dealt with Josh at Somerset Motorhome Centre when I was selling my father's van following his death. Communication was first class, a very fair offer was made and they travelled up the next day to collect the vehicle. The transaction was efficient, empathetic and reassuring. Josh made sure I was comfortable with payment which was same day directly into my account. Overall I couldn't have wished for a better service in selling my Dad's pride and joy.

After a few hiccups, I must say they went up and beyond and we are extremely happy with our motorhome.
Excellent service when purchasing our MH, friendly helpful and informative.
We will definitely return when we up grade

Bought and sold a motorhome from them, amazing customer service on both transactions, well done!

Brought a motor home from these guys late last year within a month it started leaking from various places around the ceiling area. They took it back told me they had repaired it but made it worse. Currently starting court action against them. Before you buy do all checks, walls and ceilings.Buy a cheap damp meter and take it with you and check everywhere.
Check EVERYTHING because once you have paid the deposit...that's it!!

If you are unfortunate enough to buy a vehicle from here, please check your motorhome carefully. They did not fix all of the faults or issues I picked up on mine at the point of sale. Upon taking the vehicle home, I found The engine oil leaks were not fixed, the air filter (date stamped 2016) was rotten with a quarter of it missing. Absolutely shocking. The oil leak has ruined my driveway.
The vehicle battery and leisure battery were not secure, vehicle digital dash mileage and clock numbers faded, battery warning light illuminated resulting in flat battery.
Gas bottle and toilet cassette storage outside door could not be locked as the key barrel locks were seized. The gas bottle was not even strapped in, this is very dangerous.
Beware of vehicle HX55 GXW.
I returned this motorhome with great difficulty and at great financial loss.
I would recommend an independent inspection before purchasing any vehicle. I would not recommend purchasing an older vehicle from here as this will be the standard you get.
Habitation checks and base vehicle checks are very poor.
I would not trust them to carry out any repairs correctly. I have lost faith and this has ruined my enjoyment of owning a motorhome.
I would never buy a vehicle from Somerset Motorhome again.

Amazing service from start to finish. Great customer service and great after sales.

This company is a disgrace as arranged an appointment to view a van at set time, arrived on time met with Tom one of the so-called professional sales team after driving 2.5 hours from Cornwall who said there is the van have a look any questions come and see me. Van had people inside so commented to Tom who said well open back doors and walk in !! Waited 45minutes as each time we looked other people had wandered in as van doors open. After 45 minutes we finally got to enter the van to look around. Within 2-3 minutes Tom the salesman comes to tell us it's ok to view the van but it's sold !!!
Totally unbelievable. Monday sent email letter of complaint. Company has not had the courtesy to reply. Discusting and totally unprofessional.

I've had a couple of problems (one major, one minor) with a motorhome that we bought back in July 2022. They both arose during the 6-month warranty period, which has just come to a close.

In both cases, the Service Team has been very polite and helpful. They did their best to deal with my concerns as quickly as possible and both repairs were completed. They were happy to agree to a repair at a local garage to avoid additional inconvenience to myself when the vehicle was unserviceable.

I would happily buy another used motorhome from this company as I have confidence in their warranty and service support.

Purchased vehicle November 2022 warrenty job needed and phoned December19th to be told cannot do until Feb 18th 2023!!! Gave me two phone numbers and second one I rang said bring it over tomorrow I will look at it and fix it there and then. Somerset Motorhomes will refund it but that is not really the point!! What is the point of after sales service if they cannot actually provide it. Realising I have a vehicle with some issues that should of been sorted prior to sale but were not. Leaving me with no faith in them at all so would not be purchasing from them again. Buyer beware and my advice now would be have an independent person check any vehicle your interested in purchasing. Wonder what will be next!!

From initial contact with sales rep, Josh, to the handover with Paul, oh and in between, the driver, John, who picked us up from Exeter Airport.

Spotted the Motorhome we were looking for. 2006 Autosleeper Nuevo ES.
We requested further info, Josh sent us 3 videos of the vehicle, interior and exterior, along with written information.
It so happens, we boarded a plane from Belfast to Exeter the following day. We hired a car and drove to Somerset Motorhome Centre.
All motorhomes were accessible and we quickly found the Nuevo ES.
While inside looking around, we were joined by a member of staff who offered assistance. Turns out this chap was Josh.
He spent a lot of time with us, arranged a test drive with a very helpful and friendly man, to make sure we were happy with everything.

Arrived back at Somerset Motorhome Centre. Josh listed small items that required attention, agreed to remedy everything, gave a date when the Motorhome would be ready for collection, after full mot, habitation check, service etc.......
The Motorhome was in brilliant condition, bodywork, interior, engine, tyres..... and came with a warranty!

We gave a deposit, flew back to Belfast and patiently waited for 4 weeks.
The day before we were to collect the Motorhome, we got a call from Somerset Motorhome Centre asking what time we would arrive at Exeter Airport the following day. We were advised a driver would be at arrivals and would bring us to the service centre. The driver even stopped at the services along the way so we could have something to eat.

We were shown to the waiting room on arrival, offered cold drinks, tea and coffee, before the professional, comprehensive handover.

There really is too much to mention, without writing a novella, however to top off the excellent customer service, the sale included a free night’s stay at a local campsite so we could hook up and try all appliances, heating, hot water....... And we could return the following day if we had any questions or concerns.

This is the way to do business!

We did not need to return the following day so we set off for Liverpool, to board the ferry to Belfast.

This was roughly 4 weeks ago. We have not had a chance to use the Motorhome yet but now, on a cold 11th December 2022, are about to take this beautiful thing on the road for a week.

Just last week the company honoured its warranty - long distance, without having to return to base. They liaised with a major motorhome dealer in Northern Ireland, who they will pay directly. This is how to operate a business. We are 100% satisfied with our vehicle and the service we received.

This is the 2nd motorhome we have purchased from Somerset motorhome Centre, 2nd time dealing with Josh who is amazingly helpful and knowledgeable ,our 2nd motorhome was a trade in we are very pleased with our new motorhome however we were told
That there was a built in TV aerial / aerial on the roof when we collected It and that we had received a full bottle of gas neither was the case so abit disappointed with the collection service! As we will need to now get an aerial installed.

This was our 4th motorhome and we have never had a better experience than with Somerset Motorhomes, From Josh in the showroom to Paul at the service depot all were extremely helpful and we never felt under any pressure at all. All the extra work that we asked for was done to our satisfaction, and considering that this vehicle was a few years old they had prepared it to an as new condition. We have nothing but praise for this company and will certainly return to them in future.

We purchased our motorhome on the 4th November 2021 and the service was brilliant all round.
Everything and everyone we dealt with was exceptional. Especially Zac who was very proffesional in answering all our questions and seeing us through everything from the start until handover when Paul was brilliant with the explanation of the vehicle.
