Excellent agency! Darren and his team helped me find remote staff quickly and efficiently. Their systems and communication were outstanding from start to finish. One thing I really appreciated was that they shared candidate videos before the interviews, which was incredibly helpful in the selection process. The team was always responsive, professional, and supportive. Highly recommended!

I have been applying to this company for over a year through both LinkedIn and their official website. I consistently reach the typing test stage and have successfully passed it.
Despite meeting the stated requirements, I have never received any communication regarding next steps, feedback, or the status of my application. There is no clarity on what happens after the test or whether applications are reviewed further.
The process indicates that candidates must wait three months to reapply if they fail the typing test. However, even after passing, there is still no progression or response, which makes the process feel unclear and ineffective.
As someone with relevant experience and qualifications, it is discouraging to complete required assessments without any acknowledgment or outcome. A basic update or feedback would significantly improve the experience for applicants.
Based on my experience, the recruitment process lacks transparency and communication.

I recently participated in a hiring process with Somewhere, and it was a very disappointing experience. I was asked to complete an assessment that included a full SEO audit, a blog post, and a 90-day strategy plan — all within a day and a half. I dedicated a lot of time and effort to deliver high-quality work.

However, I later found out that my assessment was never even sent to the client. To make matters worse, the recruiter handling my process supposedly no longer worked there, and I was left without any follow-up or clear communication.

Overall, it felt very unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. Candidates are expected to invest significant effort, yet there’s no guarantee that your work will even be reviewed. I would not recommend this company.

Having worked with half a dozen VA hiring firms, there is absolutely NOTHING special or better about Somewhere. We're 0-4 with candidates from them for basic admin follow checklist type responsibilities. Majority of candidates they place you with could be found on Upwork or fiverr. Not worth $5000 for a placement. After 6 months they won't replace them either.

Used Somewhere to hire an executive assistant. They placed a candidate based out of Colombia. She is by far the best employee I've ever had, really smooth experience working with Somewhere and will definitely use them for my next hire.

Probably the best money spent was finding my right hand lead VA through somewhere. They helped me dial in just who i was looking for and gave me plenty of candidates to choose from. Ended up finding an absolute rock start of a VA

I want to sincerely thank William Smith for their support and guidance throughout my application process. He was always professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. I truly appreciated his patience and encouragement. It’s rare to encounter someone so committed to supporting candidates, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and approachable account manager.

A lot of talk, very little action or help! With promises of "We will be with you every step of the way and keep you updated regularly"..I received one update saying "We should hear tomorrow".. and then nothing but a rejection email more than a week later. Incredibly poor support, no willingness to work with me and keep me updated.

There are better options out there - would not recommend this if you're looking for a partner to help you find your next opportunity.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I want other founders and small teams to avoid the experience I had.

From the start, communication and follow-through were major issues. During onboarding, my profile slipped through the cracks and the search never started — I had to follow up myself a week later just to find that out.

When candidates were finally presented, none matched the traits and qualities I clearly outlined multiple times. Even after explaining exactly what I needed — in writing and on calls — I felt dismissed. Instead of addressing the original issue, I kept hearing, “We presented many candidates,” which wasn’t the point. When contingencies were brought up, it was obvious I was expected to settle. That’s not acceptable for any business, especially a small startup where every hire matters.

We hired someone on 06/10, and I notified them by 07/06 that it wasn’t a fit. The search didn’t restart until 09/18. For a small startup, letting someone go without a replacement lined up is a huge burden — and the long timeline proved exactly why I was concerned in the first place.

I also reviewed the contract after being told the backfill only applied to the same exact role. Section 8 does not state that.

What made this worse was the overall lack of care. One team member (Matthew) was great, but my primary point of contact (Sussie) was not helpful, did not acknowledge feedback, and consistently made the process harder than it needed to be. Even the tone of communication felt unnecessarily cold — especially surprising considering I had just gone through a C-section at the time.

I ended up stopping the search entirely for both roles because the experience gave me zero confidence in continuing.

Founders, be cautious. If you need a partner who listens, follows through, and understands the urgency of making the right hire, this may not be the right fit.

It is a dissaster. You apply for a role, then get assesments for who know which role (you are never told. I spent 3 days sending an intro video (20 days of e-mail exchange) and found out it is a scam not worth it of my time. I got other job offers and starting contact within the next 30 days. If just getting into the talent pool, takes 20 days (and still no improvement) it will definetly not guarantee any offer or starting a job withint the next 20 days...

I’m truly grateful to Somewhere for successfully landing me a remote job that perfectly aligns with my skills and abilities.
