Perfect service. Perfect watch.
I had been thinking about buying my daughter a good quality watch for some time. I noticed that there were a couple of online sites that curated their collection and had beautiful watches for sale - one was in Beverley Hills, and the other was in Nottingham! I decided to shop local, and I am absolutely delighted with every single aspect of the transaction.

I bought a wonderful 1984 Rolex Day Date. Chris was amazing in bringing it to my house for a viewing, and I bought it there and then. I will most certainly be coming back for another vintage watch for my collection.

I had an extremely positive experience buying a used Rolex watch from Sonning Watches. My questions were answered quickly, and very accurately, and the item (once externally authenticated) arrived very quickly and exactly as described. Excellent service, and a beautiful watch.

I purchase the 1956 Solid 18ct Gold Oversized (36mm) Rolex Precision. First, Chris made my experience easy. Telling me about the history, the design, and uniqueness of this special watch.
Second, the watch arrived quicker that anticipated with a nice box which had a nice leather case protecting it.
If your going to add some luxury to your collection then take the time to tell Chris what you are looking for and he can find it. If there is one in his collection that catches your eye ask him to tell you more about it and you will be hooked.

I purchased a 1970s Rolex Datejust from Sonning Vintage Watches some time ago. After a year or so, I began to wonder if the screw down crown was sticking a little on the return and reached out to Chris. He immediately put my mind at rest offering to extend the warranty on this particular function. I recently decided to take up the offer and received the watch back today after a couple of weeks. The operation of the crown is now reassuringly positive giving me full peace of mind. The communication throughout was exemplary and in this day and age this level of customer service and ‘going the extra mile’ is almost unheard of! I have since purchased another Rolex for my wife from Chris and would not hesitate to do so again should the opportunity arise. It is thus a pleasure to provide this review and keep up the excellent work Chris, it is really appreciated.

I will try my best to articulate how great Chris from Sonning made me feel through the process of buying my Rolex watch. Not all overseas purchases are going to go smoothly and many do not. Chris was right there with me every step of the way from our first phone chat to the day my watch was delivered. He is informative and caring of his work and his customers. I was a bit nervous to purchase a Rolex internationally but Chris eased those nerves almost immediately. Besides his immaculate service and help with international shipping, his shop carries wonderful, interesting, and rare/collectible vintage pieces. He is knowledgeable about the industry and timepieces as a whole. What you see on Sonning’s website is what you are going to get, accurate descriptions.
