this company and site are a scam. they send you a dress that looks nothing like the dress on the site- it does not fit- and is so poorly made cheap beading cheap fabric--when you email them to return the dress they ask you to send a picture and then they tell you have to keep the dress- no return policy. I am going to start legal action against Sophiaprom. in this day & age a company cannot get away with this level of service.- please connect is you had them same problem.

Buyer beware! This place has no return policy, there customer service is non-existent, and the dresses do not necessarily look like they are depicted. I wish we had looked at the reviews before ordering as this was our first experience ordering a formal dress online. We tried to return a dress ordered in April of 2016 and they said:" There's no reason for you to return it..."
Our return request was within the time specified, we sent pictures authenticating that it had never been worn with all tags attached, yet they refused to take it back.
Please note all of the positive reviews look very suspicious and not authentic.

My mother told me I could choose a dress from this website. I thought it looked beautiful in the picture (very similar to one I tried on at a David's Bridal store in my area), and all the reviews showed positive reactions to it. The dress I ordered from this website was about $275. However, I decided to check the David's Bridal website after purchasing the dress from sophiaprom.com, just to be sure. Turns out the dress I tried on in the store was on sale!
I quickly cancelled (or tried to cancel) my order on sophiaprom by emailing the owner the VERY SAME DAY I ordered it. The order hadn't even been fully processed yet. It took them TWO WHOLE DAYS to respond, completely voiding the "48 hour Full Refund policy" they have. I assertively told them to cancel it, but instead of doing what I requested, they responded back with LITERALLY JUST: "Why do you want to cancel the order". Like ECUSE ME?! JUST CANCEL THE DUMB ORDER.
So I explained to them why I wanted them to cancel it: I found a better dress. THEY THEN TRIED CONVINCING ME NOT TO. BACK AND FORTH WITH THIS CRAP.
Eventually, I threatened to go to my mother's credit card company and void the entire order with THEM instead. Finally, they relented, saying "Okay we will refund you 75% of your order, $240" or something like that. Which is a goddamn SCAM, because I cancelled ON THE DAY I PURCHASED IT and should have been given a FULL refund. I sent them another email, telling them they have 2 days to give me a full refund, or I go to the credit card company. They didn't comply, so I voided the entire purchase. Thank God I don't have to deal with that anymore.

P.S. The reviews on this website are FAKE. Please do NOT purchase anything from these people, it is a very nice looking SCAM website, and their refund policies are LIES. Very unprofessional in general.

I contacted them the day the item arrived. It was the wrong color and it did't fit. Received a response to send pictures. I sent pictures. Received response, sorry there is nothing we can do.
So much for the 100% satisfaction.
After many (over 15) back and forth emails with the company, they kindly said they would refund me $10 and I could keep the dress. WOW!!! All i want is ALL of my money back and send them their cheaply made misrepresented dress back to them. It has been a week and still not even the $10 refund.
PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEIR WEBSITE TELLS YOU!!!! THERE IS NO RETURN/REFUND POLICY AND CERTAINLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
WISH I HAD NEVER ORDERED FROM THEM. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS SOON!!!

I bought a dress and had it custom made. It was alright but it didn't fit around my neck,bust and hips. My friend bought the same dress and had the same problem. The only reason I bought it was because I could have a refund if I didn't like it. Just letting you all know that.. You don't get a refund. I always thought the customer was right but as I asked for a refund they told me the dress is still wearable. TOTALLY. Let me show my breast to everyone at prom. This website only shows good review, let's see if they show mines. Sophiaprom.com I still want my money back.

Very happy with the quality of my daughter's prom dress! We ordered custom measurements and they were done exactly correct. I would give five stars except the front hem is slightly uneven so I will have my local seamstress straighten.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase!

I believe they did a good job but I wish delivery didn't take so long. Also I wish the dress looked how he it did on the picture.

The quality of dress was good and made to specifications. They did not get it to us as promised and we paid extra rush price which was $49.00.

We received our order before the expected date. We used their instructions for measuring. The dress fit perfectly and was very nicely finished!

Purchasing the dress was very easy. The website clearly described how to do all measurements and detailed the policies. Dress was exceptional quality and fit wonderfully.

I had a terrible time with customer service because they spoke little english and didn't answer my questions, but to my surprise, my dress got here relatively on time and it looks pretty good! I wouldnt say I would order from this company again just because I did not do it super early, so the timing stressed me out and it was almost impossible to get answers from the customer service, but I was actually pretty happy with my dress! It looked similar to the picture and happened to fit perfectly, so if you ordered something from this company, DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE!!!!

We ordered a dress for my daughter's prom after reviewing the return policy carefully. My daughter did not like how the dress looked on her. I followed the return procedures they laid out and was then subjected to a litany of ridiculous emails from them. I sent an email requesting a return. They emailed back asking what was wrong. I returned saying nothing was wrong, my daughter just didn't like how the dress looked on her. They emailed back asking for photos to see what was wrong with the dress. I emailed again stating yet again that there is nothing wrong with the dress, we just don't like it. They emailed asking again for photos. I then sent them photos asking agian for them to honor their return policy. They sent back an email, and I quote: "What a beautiful dress you got". I again emailed demanding a return RMA based on their return policy. They sent an email back saying they can see nothing wrong with the dress. I sent them a final email this morning letting them know how dishonorable they are and what a scam they are running. Here is the return policy copied and pasted from their site:

This company's communication with the customer is excellent. The beading on one of the dresses we ordered wasn't exactly what we thought it would look like but we can make it work. I am buying for two teenage girls I can't afford $300+ dresses at a bridal shop. This way does take a little longer but is a cheaper option. I would definitely order from them again.

We chose the best color option based on the choices given for the picture we were looking at. We got "light sky blue" and that is what the dress is in person but not the same color as the picture we saw when ordering. Everything else is great!
