Iâm only 48 hours into my claim, but the experience has already been excellent. Everything has been handled quickly, smoothly, and with great communication throughout.
My car was collected and a hire car delivered in less than 24 hours, and the assessment of my vehicle was completed within 48 hours â which is incredibly efficient.
A special mention to James, who has been fantastic from the start. Heâs answered every question Iâve had, no matter how small, and has guided me through the process clearly and professionally.
So far, I couldnât be happier with the service.

I came across SpectreDrive purely by chance as, when my vehicle was involved in an accident (it was parked up and unoccupied), instead of getting through to my car insurance company I'd actually rung the 'Accident Claims Hotline'. Having listened to the information I gave about the accident they gave me the option of going through my car insurance provider OR going with SpectreDrive- the choice was mine- there would be no charge to me if SpectreDrive worked on my behalf BUT I wouldn't have to pay an excess, I'd get a hire car and my premium wouldn't go up. It made total sense to 'bite the bullet' and go with SpectreDrive.
The accident happened on Good Friday, 3rd April 2026. This proved to be a bit tricky regarding getting a hire car as everything had closed down for the BH weekend. SpectreDrive would normally hire out from their own fleet of cars. In this instance, the hire car was outsourced twice...this did cause problems for me and a lot of phone calls to the two outsourced companies to get sorted out with a vehicle. I guess I was just unlucky with the timing and had SpectreDrive given me a hire car things would have run much smoother in that respect.
With regards to the SpectreDrive team, I can't praise you enough! The phones are answered quickly, emails are responded to quickly and the staff are so patient and kind. A shout out to James Hovington who, the day after the accident, took my call when I was in shock and tearful, he was calm and reassured me that everything would be fine (and it was:-))
So bearing in mind that the accident happened on 3rd April (a BH weekend)
I received notification from SpectreDrive that the third-party insurance company had admitted liability on 10th April
I received the insurance payment from SpectreDrive accounts department on 20th April.
THE PROCESS TOOK JUST 17 days from start to finish. That's outstanding in my opinion. So it's safe to say that I'd definitely recommend SpectreDrive. Keep up the great work you are doing, the team you've got there are a credit to you. Kind regards from Louise Curbishley
