My mini soft top had a small bump on the bumper.

My mini had a small bump on the bumper.
They got my car 1st May 2024 after lots of emails & calls to the none helpful rude staff the basically sold my car for scrap 20th June.
On the 24th June i was emailed to say they are still chasing information about my car ( they had already sold with out my consent).
Now they want the hire car back but I do not have my car or the money.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY.
This is still on going & the staff tell you the wrong information.
I went away on holiday & was told they would sort my car while away.
It was my pride & joy soft top mini like new & the sold it 1 month ago without my consent.

Salvage collection with personal possessions

Early days of my claim handling by Spectra. Was told I’d get a hire car but after not hearing when, I called them. On its way today! Great. Decent enough car but delivered with a key needing a new battery and a bone dry windscreen wash - minor niggles.
My damaged car was towed away under police arrangement and on calling the recovery co today to clear it out I was surprised to find it had already been collected for salvage by Copart under Spectra’s instructions without my knowledge. I’d not been allowed back in it at the accident scene so the fire crew and police cleared the obvious - credit cards, cash, bag before it left.
I called Spectra to find out where my car and possessions were and was told it was my responsibility to make sure I’d removed all my things. The accident was 7 days ago. I suffered personal injury. Spectra got the the car removed 5 days after the crash and that included a weekend. They haven’t told me where it is but told me I wouldn’t be allowed on site anyway.
They will post my things to me apparently.
I don’t think there’s anything of great value but can’t recall everything so have had to say ‘send the lot’ to ensure anything sentimental (or for privacy reasons) gets returned. Spoke with an extremely unhelpful, flippant and rude ‘manager’. When I told him I wanted to speak to someone more senior and not him any more he said ‘I’ll do it for you. Goodbye!’
I’ve since found out it is a statutory right to have 3 months to collect personal possessions under these circumstances yet nobody will take responsibility for not ensuring the safekeeping of mine.
Within minutes of raising a complaint and speaking with someone a bit more helpful I was sent the engineers report. Haven’t gone through that thoroughly yet but already seen it says ‘not known if airbags deployed’. Their report clearly shows blown airbags and a great big yellow sticker stating ‘danger airbags deployed’.
Can’t say any of this has given me confidence in how things will go from now. Here’s hoping they improve 
..

Had a non fault claim and spectra were very helpful fully explained everything to me and made the process very simple, got a hire vehicle the same day of the accident and all the staff were very helpful and efficient in giving me regular updates, would highly recommend

Helpful

The process as a whole took a very long time. But that was at no fault to spectra drive.
They were very helpful and kept me up to date with what was happening.
Madison especially was brilliant. She went above and beyond to get me information and to push the claim through when I was getting frustrated. She was patient and understanding

An excellent claims/accident management


An excellent claims/accident management company which does, very well, exactly what it says on the tin!

Highly effective and responsive with great professionalism.

They have provided me with a thoroughly hassle free service and I say that as a former insurance broker.

Hire car taken before funds given by the third party, so being a single female my livestock were 7 miles from my home had to sleep rough to protect my livestock this insurance company has no idea, luckily I have friends to protect me, my advice is DO Not Trust them !!!!! EVER !!+

Having reviewed your file, I note that your vehicle was provided by Vehicle Replacement Group. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any specific comments on their collection schedule and note that you were paid out for your claim the day after the vehicle was collected.

Finally, we would like to take this time to clarify that we are not an Insurance Company nor are we affiliated with any. We are a Car hire company offering specialist car hire facilities known as Credit Hire to people such as yourself, who have been involved in a none fault accident.

Very informative.

Sceptical at first but great service.

When originally recommended to Spectra I'll admit I was sceptical, I'm not the easiest customer to deal with and gave them a hard time as I thought there must be some hidden fees or a catch somewhere. But, after speaking with their support team I decided to give it a go.
I have to say that throughout my journey with Spectra I have been very, very happy with the level of service, information. I have been particularly impressed by the regular contact, even if the status of my claim hadn't changed I still received a call from the team to say they were working on it in the background. Cannot recommend them highly enough, thanks Spectra great service.

Very professional company. My case is still ongoing. So far, so good, and I am pleased about the way Spectra is handling my case. Spectra keeps me updated on every piece of information received from the third-party insurance.

Initially dealt with quickly but now can't get payment

Initially dealt with claim quickly and got a courtesy car out however the ar fault drivers insurance paid out 2 weeks ago and Spectra still have the payment. They haven't paid outstanding finance off which is now in arrears. Each time I ring for an update I'm given a new deadline for the payment but it doesn't materialise. The payment , my payment not being issued is preventing me from getting a new car and they won't help other than to advise "it's with accounts". So frustrating and extremely inconvenient to someone who needs a car for work.

We strive to forward payment following an incident to a Client as swiftly as possible (and before the hire vehicle is collected) however the team cannot always pull through with this due to issues with the accounts. When being advised of a deadline for payment, concrete dates cannot be provided due to the accountants having their own workload, but rest assured your file was marked as urgent to be paid as soon as possible.

Initially things very good

Initially things very good. picked car up and got a coutesy car here the same day and got car assessed in a week and was happy with the valuation. From that point i was dissappointed as i found out my car had been taken 3 hours away from my address. It had only been assessed by photographs so i wasnt sure of the exact damage as i ideally wanted it back. Upon been paid out for my car it took a week for me to recieve my payment and the communication from them regarding getting the hire car picked up was poor to say the least.

We are pleased to hear that you found the service good at first, and are sorry to hear that you do not feel it stayed up to parr.

It is standard practice for an engineers report to be initially completed via images. In regards to the collection of the hire vehicle, there can occasionally be delays depending on what drivers are available, but please note that when there are delays in getting the vehicle picked up, any of the costs associated with this delay would be written off, and not fall back on yourself; due to them being our own internal delays.

I also note that you discussed this file in depth with management on 19/04/2024, and trust that your concerns have been properly addressed and resolved.
