From start to finish, Hannah ensured that my application cycle would yield the best results possible given my complicated circumstances (lower GPA, later application submission, highly competitive cycle). All that considered, I knew I'd have an uphill battle in front of me applying to highly competitive law programs; Hannah helped to set realistic expectations, maximize the potential of my written materials, and keep me on track. She was always available when I needed her, and gave wonderful advice regarding which schools to apply to and where to focus my energy. Additionally, she was greatly helpful navigating the addendum process and making sure that these materials helped, rather than hurt, my application. Overall, I had a wonderful experience working with Hannah and was ultimately admitted to my top choice law school thanks to her expertise. I would highly recommend working with both Hannah and Spivey during the law school application process.

I just finished an amazing admissions cycle with Anne Dutia. Because I have some non-traditional aspects of my educational, professional, and personal history, she did a great job ensuring that every piece of my story tied together in a cohesive manner. Further, she was instrumental in helping me trim unnecessary parts of my essays while elaborating on valuable parts that I had omitted.

Her communication style is also praiseworthy. I was clear on the outset that I preferred direct feedback to sugarcoating. Anne really delivered on this. She was very honest (but polite) about bad ideas that I initially thought were good, and her suggestions came back timely and in great detail.

In hindsight, this service was even more helpful than I originally expected. Given the value of admission results and scholarships, the five application package I bought would've still been worth it at twice the price.

My advisor Paula was so caring and patient from day one. She gave me a roadmap, surrounded me with resources, and made herself available all the time. No questions were too small or too large for her and she was genuinely invested in my success. My applications would not have been the same without her! I have some friends who used other Spivey consultants and have not had exactly the same experience so there is perhaps some variance among consultants.

Spivey Consulting was extremely helpful! They helped me put together the best law school application, highlighting all of my strengths. I especially loved working with Sam Parker. Erika Guckenberger hands down is the best there is at Spivey. Just to list a few reasons why: always understanding of your situation, super responsive (even on weekends!), very accommodating to time zone differences, gentle yet upfront about application improvements, overall a warm and calm voice to be around during the high-stress period of law school applications and waiting for decisions. I had a phenomenal experience with Spivey Consulting! My consultant was Mike Burns. I greatly valued his prior experience directly in Law School Admissions, so felt like I could trust his advice and insights. It was also a huge relief to have an expert I could go to with any questions and to gut-check my thoughts and instincts. I ended up getting into my top choice school, which was a super reach/long shot, and I know that part of that success was due to Mike's guidance and insights and polishes to my application. It was definitely an expensive service, but given my results, it was definitely a worthwhile investment. Would highly recommend for anyone applying to law school who has a unique background and isn't sure how to put together a polished package!

As a first-generation student entering the 2025 application cycle, I came into this process with so much self-doubt and anxiety. In particular, as a minority, I was concerned the contentiousness around DEI and affirmative action would render my stats inadequate and that my application materials would never be enough.

I applied to a wide variety of law schools, nearly blanketing the T14. While I can't say my own tenacity did not play a part in my success so far, Spivey Consulting, particularly Spivey Consultant Michael Burns, provided me with more insight than I could have ever found on my own on how to succeed in such a competitive cycle. I truly feel the resources Spivey offered were instrumental to knowing how I could be the most strategic in leveraging who I really am outside of my statistics to law schools. With it only being the middle of the cycle, I have already been accepted to NYU, Northwestern, UCLA, and Vanderbilt. Moreover, I have also completed interviews with UChicago, Yale, and Harvard.

The opportunity to work with Spivey, specifically within the Spivey Pro Bono Program, embodies the difference between breaking generational curses for someone like me. Spivey has not only provided me with confidence in myself and the story I carry, but a little bit more faith in society to make the legal field more equitable.

I was recommended Spivey and my consultant Paula Gluzman through a mutual friend, and I am so grateful that I was able to work with her as a full cycle client. As a first generation law student, I really couldn’t have asked for a better match. Paula was not only helpful with advice and resources, but was also always responsive to my worries and stresses throughout the entire process. I cannot speak highly enough of Spivey, and especially my consultant Tom Robinson. Every single worry I had about the daunting process of law school admissions was quelled with knowledge, experience, and emotional support. I had initially began to work with Tom when I applied to my university's early assurance program. Even though I did not receive a favorable result, we still intended to work towards a positive outcome when applying regular decision the following fall. Tom was encouraging but also kept my expectations realistic, as for some law schools my GPA and LSAT were below medians. Nevertheless, he was committed to ensuring I presented the absolute best version of myself in my essays, resume, and overall application package. We were able to really break down why I wanted to go to law school and I got to know more about myself in the process. I never felt misled or confused about anything; Tom answered every single question I have promptly in great detail and assured me not to worry about getting an interview or seeing a change in my portal. As a first-generation college student, this support meant a lot to me because not having any experience or family to rely on made the process seem scary at first, but not after working with Spivey. When I did get interview requests, Tom knew exactly what they would ask and what I should be prepared for. As a result, I received acceptances to UChicago, Duke, the University of Michigan, NYU, USC, and Vanderbilt with a 168 LSAT and 3.92 GPA applying directly out of college. I will be attending NYU this fall on a full-ride scholarship as an AnBryce Scholar, all thanks to Tom and Spivey.

My experience with Spivey Consulting was amazing. I worked with Tom Robinson, who was kind, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful throughout what could have otherwise been an excessively stressful process. Tom is not only experienced and insightful, but also a great listener and thought partner.
