Yes. Your case was filed, accepted by the court and service of process has been started (serving the defendant the court summons).

Our prices have not been updated since January and before that not for several years. I believe you are referring to the service of process charge. It is cheaper to purchase it along with your original filing as it gets included in our initial triple-check process of verifying all information provided. If purchased after that we have to perform similar tasks again and there is just more human resources involved, so a slightly higher cost is incurred.

If you log into your dashboard online (where you can check the status of your case) you will notice that as a Dedicated Case Agent customer (our highest package) there is a button to schedule an appointment. These are done through Google Meet and you can schedule as many of those as you would like to speak directly to a senior member of our case review team.

I encourage you to schedule an appointment if you have any questions, concerns or feedback that you would like to share directly with us.

In the meantime, I have gone ahead and refunded part of your most recent service of process fees to match the amount you would have paid originally had you selected it as an add-on at the initial checkout.

Unfortunately, Squabble cannot and does not provide legal advice or a review of the merits of a case or the appropriateness of the party you sue. We can merely check your submission for accuracy and file and serve in the appropriate jurisdiction. If you have a claim against another entity that you would like to file, we would be happy to provide Case Agent guidance free of charge by upgrading your case to Dedicated Case Agent if you file through the File the Case Package.

Since your last case was a Dedicated Case Agent package you could choose to invoke our "Money Back Guarantee" which would entitle you to receive a refund of your Squabble package fee. This is described in section 6 of our Terms of Service which can be found here: https://www.squabbleapp.com/terms.

Within it is a requirement to send us the "Notice of Entry Judgment" with it showing that you should receive $0.00 from the other party. This had to be submitted to us within 30 days from either the date of the mailing if you received it by mail or the date of the email if you received a copy by email. We would be willing to omit the 30-day requirement if you could provide that documentation.

UPDATE: Chris, I looked into all e-mail communication and do see where we attempted to refund the package fee, however, it was in dispute at the time and we were not able to perform refunds until the dispute cleared. In seeing that, I have gone ahead and refunded your full package fee.

I can see that you have scheduled an appointment for an online meeting with your case agent. As a case agent customer you can schedule an unlimited number of those appointments from your dashboard. We will be able to resolve this issue with you at that time and coordinate any new information needed for proper service directly with the process server.

We needed you to verify that "Safelite Fulfillment, Inc. dba Safelite AutoGlass" is the correct entity you wish to file against. This is the name we located. We sent an e-mail asking for confirmation. Originally it was just "Safelite AutoGlass" which the courts will not accept. Sometimes the only way to communicate with a customer is here if it comes to it. Please email info@squabbleapp.com with some times to discuss this with you by phone.

We apologize for the delay. Your case has been filed. The contract you sent to us that needed to be attached to your court documents got misplaced in our emails. The is not common at all and I put some filters in place to highlight them better.

We are currently working on a new feature on our system to allow customers to upload notarized documents, contracts, agreements, demand letters sent to defendant, etc. They are not always required for every type of case or jurisdiction, however, then they are it would be more convenient to not have to email attachments back and forth. This will make the process better for both customers and the Squabble Case Review Team.

The process server (ABC Legal) served the documents on the defendant at a personal address you provided us. The process server spoke with an individual who identified themselves as the defendant's husband in which case substituted service was performed and indicated on the proof of service documentation signed by the process server and filed with the court.

This was done on July 13th and was served on Joshua Leasure who stated he was the husband of the defendant, Kari Kohen Leasure. It was served at their home address which was provided by you.

I looked into your case. I'll respond to each of your comments:

1) You mentioned you only received automated responses. The only automated response that was sent was the e-mail containing your court paperwork and demand letter template with instructions on demanding money from the defendant and ways to either file the case yourself or upgrade your package with us so that we can handle all of that for you.

2) There were no typographical errors in your court documents. The information in the explanation that was put on the court forms is the information you provided yourself. We cannot legally edit or change your explanations. Your explanations appear clear and concise in my opinion. Additionally, they are more of a formality and aids in the defendant understanding the purpose of the suit. When you go to court you can explain yourself in front of the judge.

3) We did not include any court filing fees. Your paperwork simply says "I also seek filing and service costs of $76.00 and pre-judgment interest of $43.01" These are the fees you paid Squabble that you are allowed to ask for reimbursement on as well as interest on the amounts owed. Those are not the court filing fees. It's a formality so the defendant knows what you are seeking and so the judge can take it into consideration in court.

4) We don't have a 100% money back guarantee in the way you describe, nor do we advertise it as you describe. On our highest level package has a guarantee if you lose your case in front of the judge,

5) The demand letter template is a MS Word compatible file. You can edit it in any program that supports .DOCX formatted files including Google Docs. Additionally, the court documents are a PDF that you can revise if you decoded to (such as editing your explanation to the court)

Lastly, you asked our case review team to file your case for you for free. This means Squabble would pay your court filing fees and your process server fees (the person who serves the defendant the court summons). Squabble is not in the business of "betting" on cases. We are not a personal injury lawyer.

You specifically asked "I was wondering if Squabble would be willing to bet on my case and accept a fee contingent on a win."

I am not sure how else we can better accommodate you. If you would like to file your case, simply login into your account and choose "Upgrade".

Ethan, You submitted your case to us on August 4th. Your case was filed on August 5th and accepted by the court on August 6th (yesterday). Today you emailed us asking for a refund and to cancel your case, however, it has already been filed with the court.

A process server was assigned to your case immediately. The only way to stop this case is to contact the court and let them know you would like it dismissed.

We are very happy you settled your case! This very likely happened as a result of the defendant being notified that the case was filed.

However, we can't refund your money on services we provided in a timely manner. Part of the costs of filing your case were fees paid to the court and the process server. The courts and the process servers do not provide refunds as a result of a case being settled out of court.

I looked into your case. We've been corresponding with you on all of your emails (We have 3 separate support tickets for you). In all of the cases we asked you for:

(1) A copy of a demand letter sent to the defendant (any formal or informal writing asking for the money back suffices) and (2) A green certified USPS mail receipt showing that the demand letter was mailed.

This is required by the state of Nevada in order to file and must be sent by you to the defendant. In one e-mail you indicated you would do this and we never heard back.

As soon as you get us that proof of certified mailing known as the "Green Receipt" we can progress with filing your case and having it accepted by the court,

Barry, you have been communicating with our case review team on your case. We received the documents from you that the court required and we are finalizing your case filing. We have 15 support ticket cases open for you in regards to the document we needed you to scan and send to us (As it is required by the court). I looked into your case. We prepared the correct court paperwork for the jurisdiction that will accept your claim based on where the incident arose and/or where the defendant resides. This is the Justice Court in Lyons Township.

All we needed from you was to notarize the document so that we can file it with the court as well as get a copy of the certified mail receipt showing you mailed a demand letter to the defendant - which is required for filing in the state of Nevada.

I can understand if you were suing a defendant in another state or much farther away in your own state, however, the court we determined has jurisdiction over your claim is your own local court and is a mere 7 miles from you.

I'm not sure how else we can better accommodate you. If you can get the documents notarized and get us a copy of the certified mail receipt we can get your case filed right away.

We filed your case and it was accepted by the court - all within a few business days.

We cannot control the outcome of your court case in front of the judge. You have to present the facts to the judge. Squabble is here to ensure the proper court documents are filed and accepted by the court. We do this by having experience working with the court and their requirements for filing, guiding you through any needed materials or amended information.

Once filed and accepted we provide an optional service of providing service of process (Serving the defendant the court summons). This is an optional service we provide and manage using a process server from our partner company, ABC Legal.

You did not purchase that option which means you needed to serve the court documents and summons to the defendant lawfully, such as hiring your own process server or having a friend serve the documents and complete the required forms.

The package you upgraded from was from our basic package called "Perfect Paperwork" which includes the completed court paperwork and a demand letter template. This allows you to send the defendant a credible threat of a pending lawsuit.

The package you upgraded to allows us to file the case for you and in the event of any possible court rejection, handling the court's requirements and re-filing.... and as mentioned moving forward with service of process if that is an option you want us to handle for you.

Squabble does not and legally cannot provide legal advice or representation. We provide assistance and expertise in getting your case documents prepared, filed, accepted and served.

I think there is some confusion. In researching your support requests that you emailed us you mention that we assigned an attorney to you named Frank J. Palermo and that you were charged a $49 subscription fee. You also mentioned that you had a zoom meeting scheduled with us at a particular time.

We don't provide legal advice, we don't assign any attorneys and we do not schedule zoom meeting calls with attorneys. Above all of that we have no idea who Mr. Frank J. Palermo is. We provide small claims e-filing and take the required steps to ensure the case is properly filed and accepted by the court. We also can provide lawful service of process to serve the court documents and summons on the defendant.

In another e-mail from you I can see that you let us know that you were able to settle your case out of court, which is the best outcome one can hope for. I am very happy for you, however, there is clearly some confusion between the services our company provided you (filing the case in court) and perhaps some other attorneys or services you may have also looked into.
