I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with this company.
I purchased a car from them at the end of October, and within just a few months (by March), the vehicle developed a serious issue with the turbo. After having it inspected, I was informed the repair would cost £2028.
I contacted the company several times to try to resolve the issue, as this is clearly not something that should happen so soon after purchase. Unfortunately, they have refused to take any responsibility or offer any support.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers are entitled to goods that are of satisfactory quality, durable, and fit for purpose. Sadly, this company has failed to meet those standards and has shown no willingness to resolve the situation.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this business. Based on my experience, their after-sales service is extremely poor, and they do not stand behind the vehicles they sell.

If i could give a -100 I would This company is absolutely DISGUSTING we purchased a car over 2 mths ago 2 days after picking up the car lights came on dash board flashing up spoke to gge and they advised us to ring warranty - surprise surprise they didn't cover this issue so contacted Jason again explained we had just got as far as tesco and took photos of the dash and sent onto him HIS REPLY TO US WELL DON’T GO TO TESCO THEN how unprofessional is this and also knowing this car shouldn’t be on the road , got the car picked up and taken back to gge we were told they had ordered up a ABS CONTROL UNIT they DIDNT then whilst they had the car we were told the car had gone to another gge to be re-programmed AGAIN THIS DIDNT HAPPEN we were then told there was a loose connection and the person who worked on the vehicle wanted to drive the car for 2 days to make sure all ok AGAIN THIS DIDNT HAPPEN they dropped off the car to us and within 15mins of driving the same problem occurred whilst driving the car the vehicle goes into limb mode so we have to pull over in hard shoulder turn off the car and restart constantly getting flashed of other vehicles as the BRAKE LIGHTS keep flashing on and off which is clearly a SAFETY ISSUE we have even been stopped by the police in regs the brake lights after calling the gge yet again ( who were quite surprised the police stopped us because of the brake lights NOT WORKING which again is a SAFETY ISSUE) we are now being told they can coll on 28/10 but no work will start till 03/11 this service is the worst I have ever experienced and if this issue isn't sorted I will be taking this a lot further I already logged a complaint with the finance company, myself and husband both work in the car industry we have just found out one of our colleges viewed this vehicle previous to us purchasing this car and Jason knew about these faults on the vehicle and they still sold this vehicle onto us, the veh apparently had a MOT done on the car before we originally coll the veh THERE IS NO WAY THIS VEH HAD A MOT DUE TO THE FAULTS NO MOT STATION WOULD HAVE PASSED THIS VEH,ABSOLUTLY DISCUSTING NEXT STEPS ARE I WILL BE CONTACTING THE FINANCIAL OBUDSMAN AND TRADING STANDARDS . The finance company have had to dealt with this as a complaint which we are now into month 4 of the gge not holding any responsibility for selling a veh which is NOT ROADWORTHY, and we found this out after A Independent Eng inspected the car and confirmed this. After the gge accepting the veh back we are still waiting on our £6000.00 back, They obviously don’t have qualified tech’s working @ this gge as they couldn’t diagnose something as serious as this and as for salesman Jason and the other clown – don’t think selling cars is for you. PLEASE AVOID LIKE THE PLAGE I WOULDNT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WOT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH. THIS GGE IS GOING TO SERIOUSLY INJURE SOMEONE OR EVEN WORST AND ALL BECAUSE OF GREED!!!!!! If I could give this garage zero stars I would. Jason was only interested in getting a deposit then when I hadn’t heard anything about when the car would be ready and went down to the garage as they weren’t answering my calls I was told it passed the MOT so that’s a start! A few days later I had been getting advice and was told not to get the car I was thinking of so I went down to discuss with Jason (who knows I’m a single mum to 4 kids and just returning to work after having cancer) and before I could say I would look at other cars he was only interested in the fact I wasn’t getting back my deposit as they had already did work to it. An MOT would need to be done anyway before it was sold would it not?? He stood and argued in the forecourt with me for 10 minutes before telling me he wouldn’t give me details of the manager for me to make a complaint. I am appalled at the treatment and I want my deposit back. I will tell everyone I meet to avoid and I did do that to a customer that was in the forecourt as I was leaving and she left and went back to her car so they already lost one sale I know about. They are unprofessional and money grabbers. I will continue to put people off buying until I get my money back.

Bought a lovely vehicle from afar, the vehicle was exactly how described. Was a bit nervous as never had done this before.
A great shout out to Ben, brilliant at answering all my questions, kept me informed, answered emails promptly and made the whole experience smooth. We travelled from Plymouth to Swindon by train, car was ready and well prepared. Ben completed paperwork’s and ensured all our necessary’s were completed on sale. Great experience would definitely buy again. Only had the car a few days but extremely happy with the service. Thanks again!

I recently purchased a car from SR Motor Group without seeing it in person, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish.
Special mention to Ben, who was outstanding throughout — professional, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. He kept me informed at every stage and made the whole process simple and stress-free.
When the car arrived, it was exactly as described — in great condition for its age and mileage, clearly well looked after and properly serviced. I’ve driven over 2,000 miles since taking delivery, and it hasn’t missed a beat. Smooth, reliable, and exactly what I was hoping for.
It’s not easy buying a car unseen, but SR Motor Group made the whole process completely hassle-free and trustworthy. I’ll definitely be returning to buy from them again in the near future and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

Bad experience with SR Motor Group
I've read with interest of people's awful experiences with SR Motor Group, Swindon. I've had the same experience. Having paid 5K for a Mazda 3, including a warranty, the car suffered a fundamental problem with the engine, the complexity of which was so great that the warranty proved to be useless. SR Motor Group claimed that I'd had the car too long and that was the first and last I heard from them. I'd owned the car for under three months and was now in possession of a car that was technically a write off. The good news is that I've just won a judgement in my favour in a small claims court. I urge everyone who has been fobbed off by SR Motor Group to take the same route. Keep all correspondence by email or registered post. Give them the opportunity to mend or replace the vehicle and have the patience to see the process through. It's taken me almost a year. I recommend contacting Citizens Advice who will guide you through the process. Expect to hear nothing back; SR Motor Group rely on you giving up and I fear this strategy has benefited them at the expense of innocent customers. Don't let them get away with it. Good luck.

Bought my car from them after travelling 4 hours to get there and car broke on the way home, clutch pedal went on a busy roundabout which very nearly caused an accident. I called them and was told to 'keep an eye on it and go through the warranty' after huge expense of multiple break downs / recovery trucks and garage repair bills (warrenty wouldnt pay) there was not only a split in the brake fluid pipe which was caused my brakes to fail on several occasions, the power steering wires were rubbing on the drive shaft, which could have been catastrophic for me and my young child, the garage I used called it a 'death trap!'
I tried to email sr motors/call them and their response to everything was 'go through the warranty' and that I couldn't get a refund due to simply changing my mind!
It didn't matter how many times I explained the warranty wouldn't pay and that I wanted a refund due to the car being dangerous they wouldn't acknowledge that, and then just stopped replying to me all together. Awful team, and customer service. One day, someone's going to have a serious accident with one of their cars. Please avoid at all costs.

Absolute crooks!
I’m one of those people who don’t normally leave reviews but have been so appalled with my experience that I felt the need to.
Avoid this garage at all costs. I initially booked a test drive, drove an hour to the site only to find the vehicle stuck behind 5 other cars with a flat tyre. I stupidly gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a week later. Having reserved the car with the ‘fully refundable reservation fee’ and deciding the car isn’t for us (too many question marks) they are now refusing to return the reservation fee claiming it’s actually a deposit which would only have been refunded had we decided BEFORE WE LEFT THE SITE. This this theft and if it’s not resolved we will be contacting the police.

Upon collecting the vehicle we notice a ticking sound and the boot cover was missing a guy called Josh was the sale guy, the boot cover was a minor as we could get one cheap off eBay. Josh not even sure if that’s even his name at this point, reassured us that not the worry about it I could get it checked by a garage and they would handle the bill sound fare enough, only to get a diagnostic report and fobbed off by Josh the coconut and Naz with her make up melting off her face. The Drivers Shaft were gone, they said it passed their mot completely false.fake mot. Please be careful and Avoid to save yourself to stress and the hassle. Totally Fraudulent
