My kids really enjoy Stagecoach. It’s excellent for boosting their confidence and performance, and the staff are very patient and friendly.

All my congrats for Stagecoach Cheshunt! My daughter participated only one term but she definitely loved it! She made new friends, she danced, sang and came back so much more confident! Good organisation, friendly staff and a very good way to improve the skills of your little ones!
I definitely recommend it!

My son has been attending Stagecoach since August 2023. He was only 4 and a half years old, timid, and not even able to get to the class for the first few weeks. The professional approach of the staff is above and beyond. They helped him to thrive, year after year and show after show.
Last year he was still in the early stages, and the Principal, Tina, recommended sending him to Stage 1. Such great advice! My son is now even more involved and he is happy to have 3 different classes and is enjoying all 3 hours.
He is more confident, he speaks very confidently, he is making new friends, and he is starting his exams this year.
I couldn’t be happier for him.

My daughter has been doing Drama with Stagecoach Performing Arts at the Stagecoach Southgate branch for over three years and it has been absolutely fantastic. The teaching is inspiring, supportive, and great fun, and the team genuinely brings out the best in the students. Her confidence has grown enormously, and she always looks forward to going. We’ve been consistently impressed by the warmth, professionalism, and encouragement from the staff. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Stagecoach Plymouth enough! My son absolutely loves his classes here, and a huge part of that is down to his teachers Amelia & Grace. Every time I pick him up, they are both so incredibly happy, smiley, and cheerful. It’s wonderful to see such genuine passion and positivity—it really puts my son at ease and makes him look forward to every lesson. Thank you both for creating such a welcoming environment!

My children love going to Stagecoach and have a lot of fun there, it’s great for their confidence and performance skills. The team are very kind and patient.

Stagecoach helps young people boost their self-assurance, hone their performance talents, and succeed in an environment that celebrates every level of ability. More than just teaching skills for the moment, it nurtures confidence that lasts a lifetime, along with the extra advantage of building strong, supportive friendships outside of school.

From my experience with a couple of South Eastern Stagecoaches, is that they are heavily Musical Theatre centred. It severely lacks in quality when it comes to real acting. MT acting can be quite pantomimic,and animated. I dont consider this real acting. Definitely not for tv. Focusing on an MT based philosophy , from an early age, could ingrain irreparable, bad habits. This could give a student an uphill battle in the future, especially, if they ever wanted a career on screen or serious stage. I have been far from impressed when it comes to the choreography and singing. Felt there was a gargantuan lack of harmony work. I’ve seen humbler performing arts schools produce far better quality for far less fees. The pupil Im associated with says they barely do any acting. I feel this is a breech of what was promised and money should be returned. The end of term performances, I’ve experienced look like they’ve been knocked up together in a couple of hours let alone a couple of months. I can’t help but feel that it’s all about the money. 💰

Students appear to achieve their goals with staff encouraging them all the way. Staff, instill in the students life's important values, such as honesty, responsibility, self awareness and ambition. In this day and age, it's also important to instill those values in their own children. Setting good examples to your own children shows character and great leadership.

My daughter has been attending for 7 years. Its been amazing to watch my daughter journey. Stagecoach is a family, I am so glad my daughter has been part of this

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank Stagecoach Swansea for the incredible impact they have had on my daughter over the years.

She was first recognised in school for her determination, natural talent and the way she completely owned the stage. She attended a trial session at Stagecoach and from that very first day, I knew we had found the right place — and we have never looked back.

She is now approaching her sixth year at Stagecoach, and I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for her. Stagecoach doesn’t just teach performing arts; they give young people the space to grow, the confidence to shine, and the belief that their dreams are achievable. My daughter has flourished here — not only in her talent, but in her confidence, her discipline, and her absolute love for performing.

What truly stands out is the leadership under Kelly Marie the principal. Kelly leads with such passion, fairness and care, and it is clear that every decision she makes is centred around the children’s growth, happiness and potential.

One of the things I admire most is the absolute fairness in everything they do. When it comes to shows, every child is given the opportunity to shine. There is no favouritism. Every pupil is treated with the same care, respect and encouragement. Roles are shared, opportunities are balanced, and every student is given their moment to stand out and grow.

The way they put their shows together is remarkable. The children learn multiple roles, work as a team, and you can see the pride and joy on their faces. Kelly is genuinely one of the most caring, loving and fair principals I have ever come across. She sees the potential in each child and nurtures it with patience, kindness and professionalism. As a parent, that means everything.

I cannot thank Kelly and the entire Stagecoach Swansea team enough. They have played such an important role in shaping my daughter’s journey, and she now pursues this path with complete dedication and passion.

Stagecoach Putney has become the highlight of my 4-year-old’s week! She’s constantly asking when her next class is. It’s wonderful to see her mix with children her age and slightly older, and her confidence has grown so much that she now invents her own plays and dances at home.

I was a pupil at Stagecoach for nearly 9 years.

There are many positives. The teachers are generally decent and try to improve skills for most of the kids. The schools offer LAMDA examinations. The performances are good-quality, especially for junior musicals. Staff generally try to keep students engaged and working together.

However, there are some serious hurdles I would recommend you research before sending a child here.

Firstly, favouritism is rampant. Whilst some students are told that their "lead" role from last year (meanwhile, their role is listed on the license provider's website as a supporting role) invalidates them from a good role for a few years, other students (the favourites) receive lead roles year after year. This is not just on merit - numerous peers of mine were passed over for roles despite being outstanding for the same-old.

Feedback is also non-existent. One exercise that teachers employ is "good comment and change to the performance". No constructive criticism or genuine feedback, just "you did really well and this time you're more fearful". That is not beneficial.

Finally, it is basically impossible to provide feedback to local managers. I'm unsure if this is just the school/s I have been to, but it was impossible for me or parents to reach the managers about multiple concerns.

Until such a time as Stagecoach is more transparent with its decisions, provides useful feedback, and becomes open, I cannot recommend you sign up. That being said, my positive experiences rule me out from saying don't sign up. Research the local school, other reviews (both good and bad) and, ideally, personal testimonies. It's a varying brand.

Terrible company, underpaystaff , abusive working conditions, take advantage of young people trying to contribute to education.

Hi, I'm an ex-stagecoach Salford kid of 4 years. For context, I have had social anxiety my whole life. Many of the teachers were very kind; however, there was one who completely ruined the whole experience. The dance teacher was an absolute nightmare. She often would single me and and ridicule me in front of the class, prompting them to laugh at my expense. I went home after stagecoach, crying many times and would beg my mum not to send me back. She screamed and shouted at every child there for making simple mistakes or not being good enough. So much of what she said to me and the way I was treated really stuck with me and still makes me sad today. She's so insulting and treats children like they're stupid or not as good as her. She won't let kids be kids. She is not nurturing or kind and will not help your anxious/shy child come out of their shell. Quitting was the best decision I ever made. All that stress and anxiety she'd been causing me finally disappeared. I beg of you not to send your child to Stagecoach Salford.

My daughter has blossomed under the care and guidance of the Stagecoach team. Her self-confidence has grown and she has made some lovely new friends. She always looks forward to her classes and the end of term shows and demos are great fun to watch. The staff are very professional and they go above and beyond to make each child feel welcome and celebrated.
