No longer worth the money

Used to swear by Stance stocks, a pair would last years without any signs of wear. Recently bought a few new pairs as old ones were finally starting to go and the quality has gone down the drain. Holes in multiple pairs after 2 months, elasticity goes quick, yet the price is high as ever. Not worth it.

Not worth the hype

I bought socks from STANCE that were advertised as premium quality, but after only a few wears the elastic failed, the material degraded, and they lost their shape. This is far below what I would expect at this price point.
What made the experience more disappointing was the response from customer support. While the representative acknowledged elastic failure, they also stated that some products are considered “basic” quality. However, these items are not advertised or labeled as inferior in any way at the time of purchase, which leaves customers unable to make an informed decision.
Instead of addressing the underlying quality issue and accountability, the discussion focused on minor price differences and replacement options. Overall, the durability was disappointing, and the way a clear defect was handled significantly reduced my confidence in the brand.

P.S. as for their reply... anybody interested in wasting time about one faulty pair of socks exchanged for another pair of the same? 😆 #stillmissingthepoint

Poor service and support

I ordered a gift from Stance and requested 1-day delivery as the recipient was leaving the country the next day. Stance failed to meet this window and admitted the courier made a mistake. They proactively offered to cancel the order and issue a full refund, which I accepted.

Despite this agreement, they failed to stop the delivery. Even though the order was officially cancelled, they delivered it after my friend had already left the country. When I asked for the promised refund, customer service refused to process it unless I physically returned the items knowing full well I don't have access to the building and the recipient is abroad.

It is completely unreasonable to expect a customer to fix a company's logistical error, especially after a refund was already agreed upon. Expecting me to ask a friend to handle a return for a failed birthday gift upon their return to the country is peak poor service.

Edit: Editing this to 3 stars after response below. I think that’s a reasonable response.

Terribly sorry about this experience and that our Next day delivery option failed with our courier, this was then requested to be cancelled but DPD delivered regardless. We have issued a full refund for your order including the next day shipping fee paid here, this is not the experience that we set out to deliver with our product and service.

What's the point of a lifetime warranty…

What's the point of a lifetime warranty if you need to keep the receipt. Bought from a local shop so it was a paper receipt. Socks were fine but had a big hole in the heel within the first few wares. Definitely not worth the money.

Not worth the money

I bought a set of the black and white socks back in November, the white socks have held up ok but the black ones are faded and signs of wear already. I’ve washed them as per the instructions.

These are expensive socks and haven’t washed and worn as well as my Nike or adidas ones, I wouldn’t spend this much again.

I tried to contact customer service but got a message back to say the message couldn’t be delivered due to an issue with the server.

Not able to make a return.

I made an order but when it came it wasn’t what I’d ordered. I’ve been trying to return it for the past 4 days. They are saying there’s a technical issue with Royal Mail. Be careful. If you want to return something to them you may not be able to.

Much lower quality same price

Ordered some new socks recently and they do not have the same quality feel as previous socks I've bought over the past 3 years.

They feel much thinner overall with only the toe and heal areas having any real padding, previously this was a much more generous cotton all round feel with extra padding in those areas. As such the new socks feel thin, less soft and luxurious / comfortable particularly over the top of the foot.

They are also much more stretchy around the toes and in general (except at the top of the let which has previously been too tight). This again adds to the less premium feeling that previous pairs I've bought.

It seems they have reduced the general quality but kept the same high premium prices which they no longer are.

Additionally, in the past I have tried to complain about an old pair of infiknit socks getting a hole in the toe to which I never had a response. Another pair have recently got a hole in them and to top if off, a much newer pair has started to ware on the outer side.

Socks don’t even last a year…

3 pairs of socks had holes in the heels within a year, not even used excessively. Call customer service but their warranty only goes to 90 days. Way to stand by your product…
The nerve to charge that price and not even exchange is not on, especially considering I bought over 10 pairs. I used to recommend these socks but now I see they don’t last a year and customer services don’t care, I’ll be steering clear.

Great socks but questionable Joggers/shorts

I’ve always been a fan of Stance socks – they’re fantastic quality and easily some of the best around. However, I’d strongly advise caution with their Shelter joggers and Shelter shorts.

I own two pairs of Shelter joggers (black and camo) and previously had the Shelter shorts. Unfortunately, all three have developed the same issue – the stitching coming undone in the same spot – despite very light and occasional use, mostly just for lounging.

Each time, the problem appeared within six months or less. Stance has either refunded or replaced the items twice, but dealing with their customer service has been frustrating. One time they were reluctant to help, and another time it took a long wait to get a response.

In short: amazing socks, but poor durability and inconsistent support when it comes to their joggers.

The quality has deteriorated greatly

I used to really like these socks. The last two orders (7 pairs) have completely disappointed me. The quality of the socks is disgusting, I wore them twice - and threads are coming out everywhere. I will not buy them again, unfortunately I am looking for alternatives

UPD: I am very pleased with the response from the support and would like to thank them for replacing the socks. In order to assess whether everything is ok with them and whether the quality is normal - I need some time, and if everything is ok - I will give five stars.

Deteriorating quality

I've been a fan of Stance socks for a few years, and basically been only using these socks during this time. I have to say that the quality has however clearly been going down with the last few pairs I've purchased. Before, there were inconsistencies in quality between models, but I knew which models I liked and ordered them. Now, they discontinued those models, and the new alternatives are just poor quality, poor material, uncomfortable. I will have to look for an alternative which is sad.

Lies, lies, lies

Bought about £100 worth of socks on the basis of their lifestyle guarantee. Owned them for about 1 year and there are holes in them. Contacted Stance twice to claim a new pair, uploaded the necessary photos and have been rejected for new socks. Don't trust them. I won't be buying anything else from them again!

Great socks!

I've only recently bought some socks from Stance for the first time and am surprised to see a few of the recent negative reviews. I've given it a few weeks and I love them so far. Stand up to washing fine and are very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend.

I used to love stance socks

I used to love stance socks, I’ve been ordering them for couple of years now. The quality was brilliant in the past and I still own few pairs that I ordered two years ago and they are fine. Although recently quality got worse, last 3 orders that I made, ripped after only couple of washes. I will have to look for another brand.

Poor quality expensive product, dishonest and obstructive customer service

I will never buy Stance again - if I could give zero stars I would.

The fabric on four out of the five pairs of Regulation Boxer Briefs I bought pilled in various places on the first wear. Even before they'd been anywhere near a washing machine. To be fair, customer services quickly replaced the first pair showing the fault. But then, they tried gaslighting me by denying seeing anything wrong in images of further pairs clearly showing obvious pilling. I was initially refused a refund, being told they would 'see if they could arrange a discount' - in clear breach of UK consumer law. It was only when I made it clear I knew my rights, and they had no grounds to refuse that they offered a refund. They then made the return process as pointlessly inconvenient as possible. First, they arranged a home pickup without bothering to consult me as to whether I would be there (I was at work, as most people would be on a weekday...). And second, they completely ignored my request for a return label I could use to drop off the package myself instead, like every other retailer would.

Tellingly, links on their website to the reviews section give a '404 Page not found' error. And, their website's review submission page also crashed every time I tried to post my review...

A truly abysmal retail experience.

A company who does what it say's.

Great service, Infiknit for life. When a company guarantee a product for life rarely do they furfill that promise. Stance is a brand who does however always offering more than enough to pay for a new pair.

I have a range of suttle and quirky designs and love putting on any pair.

Male, 32 forgets his age often and rarely writes reviews.

Rough Start, but Resolved with Great Customer Service

Four days after my order was shipped, I received a generic email stating that part of my order had been refunded—without any prior notice or explanation. Initially, this was frustrating, and the lack of an apology made it worse. However, after reaching out, the company went above and beyond by sending me a replacement item for free. While the start was rocky, I truly appreciate how they handled the resolution. Their effort to make things right has restored my trust, and I would consider shopping here again.
