Just a note to say that our recent trip to Japan was absolutely wonderful . Everything was seamless and our flights worked out too!
We were met at the airport and brought to the hotel in Tokyo by Rumi and our guide Keiko was really lovely so informative and jolly and helpful in suggesting activities for our free days and evenings. Her English was wonderful and she really made our trip so special . We enjoyed everything and saw so much each day with a packed itinerary and did our own thing in the evenings . Everything was seamless from luggage transfer to pick ups to coach tours lunches dinners and access to the various shrines and temples and castles- we walked past the lines with Keiko in charge! Also they arranged a limousine bus ticket for us back to Kansai airport from very near the hotel in Kyoto. The hotels were all great especially the Miyako in Osaka- very modern .It was a really different cultural experience but with English signage google maps and google translate and our great guide we felt so at ease. The cherry blossoms were the literal cherry on top!! I would recommend the Colours of Japan tour to anyone for peace of mind stress free travel with no responsibilites other than to enjoy all the things to see along the way !

Went to Ireland v Czechia World Cup Qualifier Game in Prague with Stein Travel. Everything was absolutely superbly organised by Elizabeth and Suzanne. From the Airport Check-In, Charter Flight to slick Hotel Transfers. The chosen Hotel was way beyond our expectations. However, it was the personal service provided by Elizabeth and Suzanne that set Stein Travel apart. They were both wonderful to deal with and nothing was too much bother. We booked a week in Oman with friends recently through Stein Travel/Slatterys in Tralee in their bright new office. The trip went flawlessly and the experience was superb. We had exit seats on the flight which made a big difference and our transfers were swift but ideal. we stayed in the beautiful CHEDI hotel that they recommended and it was a magnificent experience. there was comfort in going to Saudi Arabia for the first time, to somewhere so interesting but with the added security that Stein were looking after us all the time. We recently travelled to Oman from Ireland with Stein travel. They were superb to deal with. Understood the needs, responded to every request & carried enough credibility to get us a complimentary room upgrade.

We were in Lapland in December before Christmas, it was an unforgettable experience, Sean helped us to have an amazing time from all his planning of big events to the small details. We loved every minute - from the snow mobiling in the forest, husky ride out on the lake, the reindeer trek with the elves and meeting Santa in the forest, the whole trip was truly unforgettable.

We travelled to Lapland with Stein just before Christmas and it was the most magical family trip we’ve ever had. Everything was so well organised and stress-free. As a coeliac family (myself and my two daughters), we felt incredibly safe and cared for – from the beautiful chalet breakfasts with separate gluten-free options and toaster, to packed breakfasts and great restaurant tips in Rovaniemi. Our rep Seán was outstanding – so kind, informative and brilliant with the kids (they adored him and still talk about him!). Highlights included the husky ride across a frozen lake, visiting Santa with no crowds or rush, and the warm, friendly staff at every step. We came home with once-in-a-lifetime memories and have already recommended Stein to friends. We will definitely travel with them again.

We recently went to Lapland, enjoyed husky rides, reindeer rides, snow mobiles and of course lots of Santa experiences. It’s was an absolutely fantastic trip and would recommend it to anyone with kids. Sean was there to help every steps of the way. Really can’t thank him enough. He even went back to the airport to collect my suitcase. And above and beyond to help my elderly mother who couldn’t walk to ensure that she didn’t miss any of the fun activities. Making it a truly magical holiday for the whole family! Thank you again 👏🎉🙌❤️

Andre Rieu trip. Booked our Andre Rieu Christmas concert trip with Stein Travel and what a trip that turned out to be. From our first enquiry to parting ways at Dublin airport they were always available to answer all queries. Booking was a simple process and the itinerary provided was hassle free and easy to follow. From the moment we met Elizabeth and Ger they were more like old friends than tour guides. Their professionalism and local knowledge were put to good use during the trip in pointing us in the right direction to make the most off our stay. The choice off airports to and from our destination, transfers to our hotels and concert were done with ease and comfort. As for the Andre Rieu concert itself it surpassed all expectations and the seats that Stein Travel alone aquire are 1st class. I would have no hesitation in using Stein Travel again as their professionalism and friendliness are without doubt the best we have experienced. Thanks again Elizabeth and Ger.

Just home from 3 amazing nights in Lapland. To make the most of this “once in a lifetime” trip, we opted to go with Stein Travel, based on a friends recommendation who had traveled via Stein in Dec 2024, and they certainly didn’t disappoint!!
In the buildup to the trip, the Stein Travel team are in regular contact via email to ensure the itinerary is ready. At the airport, we met 2 of the Stein team, Susanne & Derenea, who traveled out with us. from there on, they take care of everything, without ever being intrusive!
As another family said, it felt as if we had a premium service… private transfers on luxury coaches, private trips to the reindeer farm, husky farm and of course meeting Santa deep in the magical forest. We also got to spend time in Santa park & Santa village. Nothing ever felt rushed, yet there was so much packed into the 3 days, and all coordinated effortlessly by Susanne & Derenea.
Each evening, we would receive a text from our “virtual assistant”, Sean (who had just returned from Lapland), outlining the itinerary for the following day.
Our eldest Son turned 17 while we were there. Susanne organised a surprise cake for him in the restaurant. Another personal touch!!
On the trip itself, we travelled with our 3 kids… 17, 15 & 10yr old. All 3 loved every minute of it, and made memories that will stay with them forever.
I Would highly recommend adding Lapland to your bucket list & book it with Stein Travel. After-all, you’ll probably only make this trip once, so you want to make it the best Trip possible!!

Booked our Maastricht Trip to see Andrew Rieu as an anniversary celebration through Stein Travel. Our booking was very professionally handled by Andrea, Sarah and Suzanne. The recommendations, suggestions and expert advice were most helpful.
I have no hesitation in recommending Stein Travel.

We booked our Lapland holiday through Sean and travelled in mid December 2025. From the booking date right through to departure, Sean and Michelle were fantastic in responding to any queries we had swiftly. As for the actual holiday itself, we could not have dreamed up a more magical experience if we tried. We stayed in Scandic City in the city centre which was a great location and allowed us to explore the city in the evening easily. Our favourite part of the holiday was the reindeer ride and meeting Santa and the elves. With only a small number of families taking part, the whole experience felt really intimate and special. Our only regret was not having booked an extra day. A massive thank you to Sean who made the whole trip stress free for us with regular communication on the schedule, great dinner recommendations and just overall general easy going demeanour. If you’re looking for a special Christmas holiday to see Santa, we could not recommend this package enough. Dave, Lorna & Ava

We just got back this week from Lapland and I wanted to say a huge thank you to Sean and Suzanne for looking after us from the moment we enquired right through to the last day of our trip.

Suzanne was incredible. We contacted her on Friday morning before flying on Saturday to see if it was possible to change our flight to an earlier one, and it was no problem at all – even though transport and other arrangements had already been made. Nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in the Lakituvat Chalets and the accommodation was gorgeous. The kids loved playing outside in the snow, especially having a sleigh in the cabin. All of the activities that were booked were fantastic and enjoyed by everyone. The kids particularly loved the private secret meeting with Santa that was arranged – and everything in between was just perfect.

Sean… what can I say. Our whole family absolutely loved him, especially the kids. My little girl even wanted to bring him home with us! He made the trip even more special by playing with them in the snow and having great banter with them. They decided he was half an elf – just without the nose! He was so friendly, kind, and patient with them, and we can’t thank him enough for that.

From the moment we got off the plane until the day we flew home, Sean was always on hand. If we needed anything, he was there. He checked in with us every evening, went through the plans for the next day, gave us the schedule, and stayed in touch so we never had to worry about a thing. It made the whole trip so easy and stress-free.

Sean is a massive asset to Stein Travel, and we can’t thank him enough.

Just back from Lapland where we made the most incredible memories. From the moment we arrived the fun started! Helped every step of the way by Sean who was the Stein Rep on the ground in Rovaniemi. He was extremely helpful during our entire stay. Our only complaint was we chose the 2 night option, Lapland is the place you will never want to leave, it was like a dream come true, snow filled all the way with so much fun and activities. All the kids wanted to do was play in the snow and sled down hills.
Our Santa experience in the secret forest was magical.
We stayed in Ounasvara chalets which were basic & clean but sufficient given the little amount of time we spent there. Located at the bottom of a ski slope, would definitely return for a taste of skiing. We were half board, breakfast was good, however evening buffet could do with improvement.

We went to Lapland for two nights with Stein Travel in Devember 2025. The trip was fantastic, the itinerary was well thought out, and had a good mix of activities. We stayed in the Ounasvaara Chalets which are cosy, picturesque, and with a great buffet breakfast and dinner. Santa's secret forest was magical, I don't think the kids will ever forget it. We would definitely also recommend the huskey ride at Bear Hill Huskeys. I would recommend going as late in December as possible, as the likelyhood of snow increases, and it really makes lapland even more spectacular. From the time of booking to our time in Rovaniemi the staff in Stein , Andrea, Michelle and Sean were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Sean in particular did an excellent job on the ground with advice and information during the trip and we would have no hesitation travelling with Stein again.

For as long as I can remember, my mum has wanted to visit Lapland and this year we finally decided to go. I wanted it to be really special for my mum, as it’s always been her dream to ride on husky and reindeer sleighs, take snowmobiles and, of course, meet the ‘real’ Santa! So I contacted Stein Travel to help me organise the trip. That’s when I spoke with Seán, and explained what I was looking for in our trip. Seán was simply amazing! Everything was planned to the small detail, he shared very practical tips and was incredibly accommodating for any requirements we had. The result: my mum and I had the most magical trip we ever could have wished for. As Seán had planned everything perfectly, we didn’t have a single minute of stress from the minute we got to departures at Dublin airport to when we arrived back home after the trip, in awe of the Artic Circle and the experiences my mum and I had together. Everything was top class. If you’re thinking about visiting Lapland, I couldn’t recommend Stein Travel highly enough to take care of planning and booking the trip for you. Thank you so much Seán for giving my mum and I the best Christmas present either of us could ever wish for — memories together that will last the rest of our lives.

I wanted to get in touch to let you know we had a fantastic time in Rovaniemi. While the delay on the first day due to too much snow was unfortunate it really added to the experience in the subsequent days. Thank you for being available and putting in a huge effort to see us looked after when our flight was diverted and trying hard to re-arrange things so we didn’t have to miss out.

Each of the activities were excellent. I could go on and on about the host at the huskies, the husky driver, the host at the reindeers etc, all knowledgeable and great at providing a very enjoyable positive experience and of course the animals themselves! We are blown away at how committed to the cause the elves were 😊 I don’t think there is anyway you could get an Irish person to be a leprechaun with the same intensity! The Santa experience was just fantastic. I think you have the right crew there, there was plenty of mystery and for the kids felt like they were visiting him at his home and those elves, christ almighty, great fun!

Had a wonderful experience on our trip to lapland. We had a great time (2 adults 2 kids). Everything went like clockwork with no issues. From meeting us at the airport to our send off for the return flight Sean was brilliant .... thanks Sean.
