Does as good of a job as every other server host service. (e.g., Apex, Pine, Bisect, etc.)

Added with the fact that the prices are vastly more affordable than other server hosting services.

Affordability comes at the cost of lack of spaces open to run a server but as of recently more spaces have opened with the affordability staying the same which is greatly appreciated.

Its overall a great hosting service the only complaint i would really have is that the panel is a little unorganized

I have given Stel hosting multiple opportunities. The first time, I couldn't use my servers for several days after I purchased the server, and I had to request a refund because we only wanted to play for around a month or so anyway and I wasn't about to deal with a few days/weeks wait. The second time, they keep changing their server IPs which caused a lot of unnecessary stress because I have to tell my players the we changed the IP many times and I also lost many players in the process. Their server had problems at the time. It was offline for more than I could play on. When it was actually online, it was nothing but laggy. Literally unplayable. Massive outages, constant server crashes (minecraft) despite buying the recommended plan for the amount of people on server. There was frequent lag spikes freezes (up to 10 seconds per minute which is basically unplayable) and again server is now not even starting for an hour. My brand new server was completely unplayable. The console was saying the server was lagging behind 4,000MS or 80 ticks. I upgraded twice to higher plans hoping if I threw money at it, the experience would be better

This time was fine, except for the fact they have now stolen from me. We used this server for about two months, and then it became inactive so I chose to cancel. I got an email confirmation that it was in fact cancelled and I wouldn't be billed and the server would be closed at the end of the period. Lo and behold when I check my account this morning I've been charged for the server again. I thought I'd made a mistake so I checked my email -- yup, I had in fact received confirmation of the cancellation. I went to talk to the discord. Xandar was talking extremely rude to me. Zero help and they told me to just open a ticket. I did, and the response I received was they'd have to review if I actually had cancelled--even though I'd sent proof I had. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I am a broke college student and I only had a few bucks to spend on a fun spring project, and now they have stolen from me. I need to buy groceries and I can't with these scammers on me. I will be disputing with my bank shortly if they are uncooperative. Furthermore and most importantly, Stel hosting reuses IP addresses for it's servers. Stel hosting customers are not made aware of this issue and thus if they leave their server without whitelist, any person who used to have the old IP address could join and grief my entire server. This is what has happened to mine, twice.

I copied the server files we over to prism and it hasn't lagged a single time. My bad for going with a host that doesn't value you as a customer. Stay away from these scammers.

Great host, easy to navigate menu and good pricing with great performance. You can even easily open more ports which many hosting providers don't allow for.

We started a modded Minecraft server on Stel Hosting and it runs flawlessly. Had a little issue with the port assignment and support got back to us in less than 5 minutes. Fantastic service and would use again!

I've been using this host for a full year now, and I've had a really good experience. They have great hardware (newest Ryzen 9 9900s in most locations and the second-to-newest Ryzen 9 7900s in others which they plan to upgrade) and one of the best prices for that hardware ($2.5/GB of RAM), you even get 2 threads (logical cores) included with the cheapest plan.
But that's not the best part, the best part is the level of customer service. They will literally bend over backwards to help you, if you are sometimes short on money they will give you more time to pay, they even set up a site for me on their dedicated server (for free of course).
They are also one of the few hosts to not overallocate (oversell) RAM on their servers at all.
Also they will give you more server storage if you need it, you get 10 free (unmetered, fair use) server backups, 10 free databases, free reverse proxies for your sites such as for Dynmap/BlueMap, you can even split your server into multiple and use for more Minecraft servers or other stuff such as sites, Discord bots or running custom software using one of the many programing languages offered in the panel.
Overall, 10/10 would recommend over anything!

Let me start by saying thanks for everything so far!

I took a peak at some of the reviews before writing this, I don't understand the bad reviews.

I have had 0 issues with their service and they have been very accommodating.
Compared to most if not all the other bigger hosting companies out there they have the best price to performance I could find on the market.

Not to mention that the people behind STEL are genuine humans, none of the scripted "default" responses you might be used to.

To conclude honestly if you are putting this much effort in researching server hosting, and currently reading this you should know what you are looking for by now and I can confidently say I have stopped looking for better options after I found STEL.

Quick support, and it's got a TON of features - more than the other hosts provide! Performance is rock solid too for the price.

The other reviewer was absolutely right. Now I know why. Poor quality hardware = drive failure = data loss.

After hearing about the incident, I couldn't risk losing my world. I wasn't affected by the incident, but I rather not take any more chances with this host. I didn't lose data, but I better be safe than sorry. So I cancelled my server.

I moved my server off this host to a more reliable host and they transferred everything for me over night.

Also the little blips of downtime on STEL are not only annoying but worrying. Every downtime makes my community anxious. We don't know if something bad happens. The hardware is fine, but the networking not so much. I heard from my players that the server networking is just terrible. Some players have massive delays opening chests where it takes 10 seconds for the click to register.

Data loss is much worse than downtime. If anyone argues to me, "wELL, yOu sHoULd oF tAkEn BaCkuPs."Oh please, stop d***riding STEL. That's supposed to be the provider's responsibility. I'm not paying for incompetence. I honestly want a peace of mind.

Running perfect with 0 lag on a heavily modded server im even using less ram than the pack recommends

I will say this is by far the best server I have rented and utilize for Minecraft. I used to use another company (BH) and they wanted more money for the least amount of Ram. These servers give me freedom and have amazing customer support from Dean.

This hosting service is by far the best I've used. They are very helpful and ensured that everything I needed was working.

Support was easy to access and quick to respond. The server is pretty good too, I have no complaints.

STEL Hosting is a joke. Their uptime in Texas is terrible. Our Minecraft server's down more than it's up. Performance means nothing if you can't even use the server for more than half of the time. They keep bragging about having DDOS protection, but it's all buzzwords.

In one week, they had DDOS issues because their "protection" is useless AND hardware failures. On August 30, servers were down. Dean has no clue what he's doing. They use cheap hardware and even have the audacity to post pictures of their cheaply built servers.

Save yourself the headache and avoid STEL Hosting. They're unreliable, their false advertising is misleading, and their service is terrible. Don't waste your time or money on this disaster of a hosting service.

We found them on Reddit and we should have known better to never use these crappy Reddit hosts. Welp I did warned my friend, but he made the final call and look where that got him. We learned our lesson after this.

Excellent service, performance is great and service is something that really out stands, worth every penny!

Very helpful and supportive team. They took months helping me out answered all my questions and basically were absolute legends for a first time server owner like me. The amount of personal care I received makes me now among the proud server owners of STEL.
