Stealing from Savemyexams and Cognito

Bro wtf this website is literally stealing diagrams from Savemyexams and Cognito (a free resource btw) and passing them off as their own.

The flashcards are alright, but I’ve frustratingly made better ones by myself, and the few good flashcards on there are disappointingly just copy-pastes from the specification. Also, it just seems weird to take other people’s efforts and put them behind a paywall.

Dear Customer,

We’re quite confused about this review, the flashcards use diagrams from public sources to ensure completeness. The diagrams have nothing to do with the quality of our resources, which is what you’re paying for. These are pre-made mark scheme specific flashcards on quizlet and anki - I’m sure you’d rather we use diagrams that you know are going to score marks rather than a butchered diagram. Just quite confused, even the second point. The specification is literally what the exam is going to be about, why would we not use it to form some of the questions presented. Not sure why you would pay for flashcards if you’d prefer to make your own.

Not good at all, it contains stuff that is not relevant to the specification at all and most of it is just yap and irrelevant content. Would not recommend, don't fall for the trap on TikTok.

Stemup got me A*s!!!!!

Stemup helped me sooo much in getting my A*s in Biology and Chemistry. The flashcards were incredibly useful due to their mark scheme specific format and the notes had detailed explanations allowing me to understand any topics that I didn’t get. Would DEFO recommend Stemup!

All the notes are from chemrevise and horrible customer service. The way that they are even responding on a public platform like trustpilot here, shows that this is not a good company. DON'T BUY

its not bad

its not that bad tbh. its okay to learn the content but some of the flashcards are wrong: what is a pari of homologus chromosomes?
this was the answer:
- Two chromosomes
-One parental and one maternal
- That are identical and unpaired
which isnt correct

Our team is always committed to providing the best quality and most specific flashcards and you will actually find that its quite rare for there to be any content errors as we completely understand the effect it can have on student's performances.

Decent flashcards. Misleading exam questions per topic

They have a decent set of flashcards for ocr a level biology however some of the topics miss way too much content for example hormonal communication. Also I bought the ocr a level biology exam question pack in which they specified that it will “contain every past paper question ever asked for each subtopic” however this is not true as it only gives you a handful of questions per topic so I was quite dissapointed that I wasted my money on that.

In terms of the flashcards, we always strive to ensure the most effective and specific set of flashcards for exams - in previous years, students who have purchased and used our flashcards noted that the exam board is super specific in terms of which parts of certain topics come up frequently and we have tried to incorporate this into our offerings for this year. We will however, be reassessing this and ensuring that our 2026 flashcards offer a greater depth to each subject :)

As for our question packs, you may have noticed that we don’t heavily promote these on our social channels. This is intentional, as some students find them absolutely essential for revision, with certain questions even appearing in their actual exams but others may prefer using freely available questions online. With our OCR A exam question packs, we’re committed to providing unique material sourced from locked mock sets and resources not found on public sites and we believe by trying to include freely available content would not offer good value for money. That said, we feel that offering 30 to 80 pages of questions per topic represents excellent value for the price.
