I had to chase an order I placed which I had apparently managed to do through their test site and therefore hadn’t been charged for. To make payment I needed to call them but was given a number not in use. I called the number on their website and have been charged £5.70 for the call, received no apology and they didn’t seem to even know their phone number now why it wasn’t working. Received the products within a couple of days but awful customer service and an extra charge to call them to correct their error, shocking!

My husband and I had looked at the website prior to our visit to our local branch of Sterling Home, so we already had a good idea of the chairs that we wanted to buy. However, it was good to be able to see the chairs and sit on them to experience how comfy they were. Staff in store were very helpful and friendly, and although the estimated delivery date was expected at four months after the order was placed, the furniture came sooner than expected which was good. Also, staff at the warehouse and the delivery staff were helpful, courteous and friendly in their dealings with us.

The staff in your Edinburgh store are fantastic. Andy and Yvonne went above and beyond and I’ll be forever grateful.
All the staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. It was a pleasurable buying experience from start to finish (including the lovely delivery lads who were superb).

I have used Sterling for 2 floors in my home. They have been outstanding, from looking through the swatches to the flooring being fitted, I can not fault the service. A great flooring team in Edinburgh.

Brian at the flooring department was helpful , knowledgeable and help make our rug purchase easy .

Cute way to sell insurance and mattress protector which I didn't need. Assistant told me it would only cost £20. Not true. £60 for ins. £80 FOR mattress protector. Only got£100 off bed headboard and mattress if I took out these expensive ins and matt protector. Did go back but Manager said I would loose the £100 off. Plus I believe another£10 for administration.Wouldntbuy anything again from this company.16

First visit to Sterling in Edinburgh, so pleased family recommend it for new sofas, experience from start to finish was excellent our sale ELAINE was hugely helpful and friendly, she was so patient not at all pushy,give us space to decide, lots of choice and we are thrilled with the sofas we choice. Delivery guys were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend.

The lady in store was very helpful with making sure we got the correct settee, she was very patient!
Delivery was earlier that scheduled, and the delivery was easy! Settee all set up and all rubbish removed.

Staff never listen to customer after we call to them they said your order we send means customer fold

Staff were knowledgable about their product and order arrived when they said it would.

I was looking for a rise and recline chair and a sofa to match due to back problems. A young man named Sanj introduced himself and said if I needed any help, I could just ask.
I tried some out and really liked the “Celebrity” range.
So I asked Sanj about it.
He explained that the Medical Grade foam gave greater pressure relief, pain relief, ease of movement, improved circulation and helped prevent hip lock when sitting or standing. He was very kind and patient, allowing me to sit while he demonstrated the seat’s features.
He showed me all the different fabrics, but I liked the one on display.
I didn’t have a deposit with me, but he said if I wanted to come back on the Tuesday, he’d give me a discount.
So I returned on the Tuesday and he sorted everything out for me. I ordered a chair and a sofa and paid the deposit. He even gave me a bottle of wine to celebrate my purchase.
I actually was a bit confused with the terms of single motor, dual motor, etc. but it was explained to me, and I was quite happy to proceed.
Sanj apparently was quite new to the store, but he was patient, kind and courteous.
I have since received my furniture, and I was very impressed with the care and attention the delivery guys gave my suite,
I am delighted with it.
I would definitely recommend Sterling, Edinburgh, and I’m sure Sanj would be happy to help anyone. Excellent service!

Very pleased with purchase. Delivery went smoothly and as expected. Could not fault delivery guys.

We found a stressless chair we liked in store at Fort Kinnaird. Your sales rep got us prices and explained there had been a 5% off deal in place and that would apply. However when explaining this he first of all said £5 was deducted and then 5% was deducted. [It turns out that the 5% off offer on Stressless chairs coincided with a "£5 clearance event offer", but this wasn't completely explained to us]

Otherwise the experience was pleasant and the product is very comfortable.

Excellent service in store nothing too much trouble and the same with the delivery. Everything was done exactly as we were told it would be. Will definitely buy from them again if only other shops were this good

Sterling fulfilled all their promises in respect of build time (12 - 13 weeks) and delivery. The sofa was delivered efficiently and all the packaging was taken away.

Great in store service, unfortunately not supported by the operations with failed delivery dates

Bought bedroom furniture and a mattress.. it was delivered and assembled as arranged all on time. Staff extremely helpful and polite throughout from trying and buying an Ercol bed, mattress and ercol dresser and tables. All round a very good service. Thanks Sterling Furniture! 😊
