Very knowledgeable, helpul and friendly staff
Stefhanie was really helpful when I purchased a mattress and bed. She was very knowledgeable about the different makes and really clearly explained each of the different brands of mattress to me and how to decide if a mattress was the ‘right fit’ for me.
She spent lots of time with me, but also left me to explore the different options myself, while still being on hand to answer my questions. I didn’t feel rushed at all and there was no ‘hard sell’ which I really appreciated.
Once I’d made my choice she clearly explained next steps, delivery timeframes and what to expect ahead of delivery and on the day my order will be delivered. She made the whole purchase experience painless.

Well done Sterling, Elgin
Visited Sterling a few times looking at sofas etc. Spoke to Lynda who explained the various fabrics and sofas available. We couldn't make up our minds and as I say visited several times. We were not pushed into a sale and Lynda was very helpful and patient. We eventually purchased a sofa and occasional chairs. We have been kept up to date from Sterling on the order status. Very happy with the service.

Stefhanie Browne - Amazing!
Stefhanie Browne was absolutely wonderful to speak to, extremely proactive and engaging with me as I had just purchased my first home and required furniture. I was able to purchase a bed with her and we’ve discussed a few furniture ideas - it’s great to speak to a passionate person about interior and furniture! I wouldn’t want anyone else to serve and assist us with the process. We will most definitely be in contact with Stefhanie again for (I hope) a Chesterfield and her brilliant taste! Efficient and professional service
Our whole experience of purchasing dining room chairs was done in a professional manner. Our first contact was Kathryn in your Elgin store. She was very patient, courteous, friendly and efficient. She was definitely worth our five star rating.

Above & beyond!
Me & my mum received a warm welcome on entering the store & a request of help if needed.We we’re able to browse at our leisure without anyone bothering us every two minutes like we had experienced in other stores.When I had questions about certain chairs the staff were very knowledgeable about everything from the material options,function of each one & what would be more suitable for me.On returning the following day they helped me to make a final decision on my purchase. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received from them.

Given peace to explore made all the difference
Having been round many other furniture stores and been harassed every 2 mins on whether we needed help, it was a refreshing pleasure to explore Sterling Elgin, with no contact except a polite welcome. Needed a new Sofa Bed. The young lady who came to offer her assistance, really did an excellent job in finding one that suited my needs. She patiently gave me all the details of each one I liked.
Delivered a comprehensive presentation of each Sofa Bed and the fabrics and colours available.
Explained in every detail about my purchase and when and how delivery would take place.
If I recall, her name was Kathryn.

Thanks Sterling, great service
We were very politely greeted in store by a friendly assistant, she wasn’t too pushy in the slightest.
We sat on almost every sofa in store without any fuss. We decided on a couple of sofas and the sales assistant guided us on the benefits on each. We were so grateful of the amazing service we received and we went home to measure up that day.
We went in store the following day to purchase our sofa and again was just amazed by the service.
Thanks Sterling! We will definitely be back for coffee tables and other bits soon.

Good service, poor product
The service in store and after-sales (to remedy defects) was excellent . However, the same cannot be said for the product (Solvi dining chairs). Out of 6 chairs, 2 had defects in the seats and 2 had insecure captive nuts when fully assembled (in accordance with the instructions - see below). Moreover, when I declined delivery (because we live close to the store), I did not expect to receive the chairs as flat-packs for home assembly. This is what might be expected when buying from IKEA at a quarter of the price; I expected to collect complete chairs, not boxes. The 2 replacement chairs were delivered assembled, but different in appearance from the originals. Overall, therefore, this was a very average experience, not consistent with a reputable furnisher.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with both the quality of the furniture and the fact they were not assembled.
We have found that, for the most part, customers do not want their furniture assembled when collecting due to limited space in their vehicle. It is also now quite common for furniture to be transported to us from the supplier in this way. Ofcourse, we would have assembled them for you as part of the delivery service. However, you felt this was unnecessary due to your location.
It is great to hear that the problems were resolved by our customer service team however, we really are sorry that you were unhappy with your experience.

You are made to feel welcome on entering the store and are not pestered as you look around. There is a vast amount of stock to choose from which is of excellent quality. Prices are very competitive.
