I gave the Family Session to my mom as a Christmas gift and she loved it so much she gave one as well. It's a funny thing about telling family stories -- it is SO MUCH EASIER with someone else present to help frame the question and make sure everything goes smoothly. I would recommend anyone do this -- especially people with seniors in their family with a lot of great stories to tell and record. There is no reason to wait!

What a great gift for Dad or anyone that wants to capture and treasure family memories. One of the biggest questions people ask about family is related to their family history. Much of this information is passed down by word of mouth...until now. Until Story Legacy. Story legacy lets you record and FORVER capture your family history from the source and in their own words and unique inflection. These memories will someday be passed down from generation to generation. I purchased two Story Legacy gifts and I know that in 20, 30 or 40 years, these gifts will be so much joy to children, grandchildren and future generations to see Grandpa or Grandma talk about the greatest generation, the changes in society they saw in their lifetime and what the world was like before GPS and Smartphones! I highly recommend making an investment in your family history with Story Legacy.

I gave the Family Story package with editing as a gift and couldn't be happier. The facilitator walked with us every step of the way and the edit really brought it together.

Having questions to choose from made it all that much easier.

My only regret is I wish this was available years ago. I would have loved to catch my grandparents on video telling their story on how they immigrated to America.

I first found Story Legacy through a friend on Facebook. They had shared a clip of their session and after reading their review and the comments that followed it was evident the experience was very impactful to them and their family. It was one of those “I should look in to this further” moments for me but I kept scrolling figuring I had more time.

Fast forward just one month and my Grandfather fell unexpectedly ill. He wasn’t expected to make it and I realized then that I didn’t know much about him at all. I knew bits and pieces but had never actually sat down to listen to his story. The regret I felt was suffocating.

Thankfully, he pulled through and once he was up for it I booked a family session with Story Legacy. We were provided a lengthy consultation and the representative I spoke with gave good question suggestions and helped me navigate through my desperation.

Our family session *flew* by. The facilitator made sure that our audio/video was set up correctly and suggested we move to a new spot with better lighting. By the time all that was done our nerves were settled and we were able to just talk. Our facilitator helped bridge the gap from one story to another and kept everything moving smoothly. Once our session was done he and my Grandmother continued to share their stories. My 12 and 15 year olds were blown away by how different their lives were.

Our experience was nothing short of positive. The end product far exceeded my expectation (kudos to our rep for suggesting we change location). I genuinely suggest considering this service to record your loved one’s stories before it’s too late. Their legacy isn’t recorded online like ours is but their stories deserve to be preserved!

The session was so easy and fun we all lost track of time. When the session was over, our entire family hung out and continued to tell stories. It was a great memory to be able to keep forever!

Great concept, very easy to use and it was a great gift for my mother in law on Mother’s Day.
Let’s just say she’s not very knowledgeable with technology, but the personalized service made the process easy and fun.
She absolutely love it and so did the rest of the family.

I loved the idea of Story Legacy as soon as I saw it pop up on my Instagram feed. I knew it would be the perfect gift but I was hesitant to buy as I didn’t understand the logistics of how the taping would work. I decided on the starter package because the price was applied to another package and I got all my questions answered. We ended up with a beautiful keepsake of my 90 year old parents that our whole family cherishes. Thanks for helping us Story Legacy!

What a great gift! For Christmas, my daughter gave me a Family Session from Story Legacy and we had a blast recording it together. At first I was concerned that it would be complicated because we live in different states, but the Story Legacy Team made it really easy and fun. My daughter had made a list of a lot of things she wanted to know about her grandparents and my own childhood and growing up, and my career. and as a result, she learned a lot about her family she hadn’t known. Some of it was serious of course, but we also laughed a lot. And best of all, she now not only knows more about her family’s history, but we also have these wonderful films of us chatting about it all.

Am highly recommending this to friends and other family members as well.

I thought this was such a great idea that I bought the family session for my family of 4. I wanted to provide my boys and their future families with the stories that we grew up with and the many memories we made together. How my husband and I met, when I burned the first meal I made him, the funny and touching stories of them that we watched unfold through the years.

Very personal service. I loved the video consultation where I could ask questions. The facilitator was quite helpful in guiding us throughout the process.

Overall, Story Legacy was a great experience. I ordered a family session as a surprise for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary to capture how they met and their early life together. 3 generations participated. We were unsure how the session would unfold but the storytelling came quite naturally and we had lots of fun.

It was a special time together - very much like sitting around the holiday table and sharing laughter together and gaining new understandings of our heritage. Truly made our close family even closer.

Perfect and unique gift to share with others!

We did a session on how our parents meet. Even though we had heard the story before, the way they interacted brought to life details that we did not know! It was amazing!

I gave Story Legacy sessions to my parents (who are in their 80's) and my brother and sister (who are in their 50's and 60's) to share stories with the rest of our family. I love the fact that Story Legacy focuses on making the whole experience comfortable and fun for the whole family, and not just about "making a video." We will be able to share these videos with our dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members who may not know the stories, and cherish the memories for years to come.
