At StoryMagic by LPQ, we provide specialist teaching intervention for children and young people who need extra support with reading, spelling, writing, and learning. Founded by Katy Lawrence, a qualified teacher, SEND specialist, and dyslexia practitioner, StoryMagic combines over 20 years of educational experience with personalised, engaging learning approaches that build confidence and lasting progress. Unlike traditional tutoring, every child receives a bespoke learning pathway tailored to their individual strengths, needs, and goals. We specialise in supporting learners with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, speech and language difficulties, and those who may have fallen behind in school. Our aim is simple: to help children rediscover their confidence, develop effective learning strategies, and achieve success both in and beyond the classroom.

Storymagic were great

Storymagic were great. They provide one to one work to support a student with a student who continually struggled with reading, phonics, phonemes etc. The student engaged well from the start, due to the quick relationship building. The student engaged throughout the program. The student has global developmental delay and made progress with her word reading skills. With some prompting, she was able to answer some questions about the text. Gives children the confidence and skills to make good progress. As a teacher and SENCo, I would recommend StoryMagic for children to progress their reading and comprehension skills.

My daughter has absolutely loved…

My daughter has absolutely loved working with Katy and I honestly can’t recommend her enough. Katy took the time to tailor the sessions around Wicked, which my daughter is completely obsessed with, and that instantly made the lessons so exciting and engaging for her. Katy has such a lovely, warm approach and really knows how to connect with children, making them feel comfortable, confident and genuinely excited to learn. My daughter looked forward to every session and came away from them so happy. It’s been wonderful to see how much she has enjoyed it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Katy to anyone looking for fun, creative and personalised lessons.

I absolutely loved planning your daughter's lessons around Wicked! One of the things I love most about StoryMagic is building learning around each child's interests because that's when the real magic happens. When children are engaged and excited, their confidence and love of learning can really flourish.

Great tutor really boosted my daughters confidence in English, Katie is so accommodating and tailors the lessons to be engaging and fun.
