I was struggling to get a constant Wi-Fi connection at my detatched garage of 50m away from the house. I finally got one on a temporary basis using my mesh system, but it wasnât constant and i kept getting network fail messages. I called customer support who accessed the unit and updated the firmware and hey presto!. I also had to purchase a Wi-Fi extender to get the constant and good signal to allow me to integrate it with Octupus for the intelligent charging option. All good now thanks to Tom at the service desk

Fantastic after sales service, had an issue with charger over 2 years after purchase. Messaged SyncEV via there website to see if they could recommend someone to help. Got email reply same day to say they logged in and made adjustment and all was sorted. If only all after sales was that good.

Okay... As an early adopter of EV tech, I'm not going to say the Sync EV install I've had since 2021 hasn't been without its glitches.
There have been some... Some have been about my own learning curve (me not understanding the tech) and some (in the early days) have been about firmware updates that didn't go well. BUT they were always sorted quickly and the support team have been responsive and attentive.
Cut to 4 years on... with little to no issues, but this week having changed to a new full EV, I've found myself having to contact tech support again, which it seems turned out to be an installer settings issue that the tech (Tom) resolved without too much of an issue.
But there was a bonus... An opportunity to upgrade my old unit to modern standards. This is a welcome surprise and if it happens then I guess it's 5 stars all round and tells me that they are investing in their client relationship in a way that other manufacturers have yet to follow.
I'm all for supporting British Tech and innovation, especially as it cant be an easy sector in which to exist, so if they follow up on their promises I will update my review to confirm that they are good for their word.

We had to make a warranty claim but this was handled very quickly and efficiently. Additionally our installer (not anything to do with Sync) made a silly mistake with the new warranty unit and Sync were able to remotely work out what had been done wrong by checking technical docs and guided me to a fix. This latter part is service I expect few companies would do this well. Very pleased, recommend. Oh and the charger does what you need so that's good.

Even worse, the manual override workarounds they suggest do not work. Itâs unacceptable that a home charger depends entirely on a cloud server just to start a basic charge. If you value reliability for your family, look elsewhere.
What nade it such a success was Tom's instructions were clear and precise and he was patient.

Charger stopped working after only a month of use. Shocking customer service. Phoning at 13:25 in a Friday to receive a recorded message to say the customer service phone lines are closed. Left a voice mail, no one phoned back. Technical support are on a training course at the same time. But by 14:00 the lines were open again. Conclusion, donât phone them at lunch time.
Charger has lost power and the worst part, my charging cable is stuck in it. With no manual release.
My recommendation would be to not buy anything from Sync Energy.
Charger came with my new build house. For the first month it was working really well then one morning it lost power to the charger, with the cable stuck in it! The only help technical support gave me was to try turning it off at the breaker and on again, power wasnât restored. Then I was told by two different people that there was nothing more they could do for me and I had to go back to my installer. Housing developer says that because item is under warranty with Sync Energy it is for them to fix the problem. Iâm left feeling like Sync Energy are not interested in honouring their warranty at all.
All I can say Neil at Sync EV is very knowledgeable and was very helpful.
If only everyone was as helpful as Neil, the world would be a better place.
One last thing, Neil skills and knowledge was second to none.
