We are delighted with the work that Robert, Greg, Stanley and Max have done. They are real craftsmen and have carried out their work with patience, skill and consideration. They have left us with hardly any mess and a house that is immeasurably better than it was. Thank you very much!

Boys did an excellent job of removing the insulation at my father's house and repairing the holes excellent work very clean.

Szot Construction, run by Robert and Greg, added external wall insulation (EWI) to the solid brick rear part of my 1893 otherwise stone built house.
I got onto them when researching EWI and came across the EWIPRO company. Szot Construction are a recommended installer.
I can endorse all the comments made in the previous reviews.
They and their men were great to work with, flexible as the job progressed, came up with sensible suggestions for ways of doing things without any suggestion of increased costs even when providing additional material.
The EWIPRO render material seems to be living up to its claim the be self-cleaning. They subsequently used this material to render my stand-alone garage which has been a great improvement.
I would thoroughly recommend them.

Szot Construction headed by Rob did a super job in rendering my timber frame extension . Their name was recommended to me by the render supplier EWIPRO as it is a special flexible thin render. Rob quoted promptly and did the job according to quote very professionally. Good communications via email

Robert & his guys rescued us from a rogue builder who was wrecking our home. They repaired the damage and completed the work in good time. They turned up when they said they would, kept the site tidy and made the house look a treat.
One year on and the house still looks great. We are saving about £50 per month this winter on fuel bills and the house is cosy all the time.

Robert, Greg and conpany have done varies jobs for us, including adding internal insulation to our house. Reliable, hard-working, trustworthy and punctual. I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Robert and his team installed external insulation at our house earlier this summer.

The work was done to a very high standard, on time and on budget. Even where things were not 100% to begin with (just minor issues), there was never any argument, Robert just ensured it was put right.

They also offered a 25 year insurance backed guarantee which was important to us.

Robert’s communication was first rate, all our questions were answered promptly and fully. Where our architect had technical questions Robert’s supplier was similarly helpful.

Having this work done was a positive experience - I’d definitely recommend Robert and his team to friends.

I have used Robert's company for various jobs. Initially he completed an external wall insulation of a majority of the house, which I was very pleased with. He was reliable and completed to a very high standard. The site was left clean and finished to a high standard. Overall I am very pleased with all the work I have asked of him and will continue to use his company in the future.

Robert replied fully to my initial RFQ. Dealt patiently with detailed design aspects and contract terms. Mobilised in February. His team seem to have maintained relationships with tenants, though work required extensive access to back from through the house.



We found him responsive, replying to emails promptly and fully. Responsible as a contractor and builder. A moving section of wall on the rear gable was discovered whilst assessing/preparing old render and was re-mortared in place and dried off before further works.



He was accommodating through colour selection and changes of colour choice. We extended the contract to include flat roof during the works.



His company is undertaking some large LA and housing contracts in Bristol. He specialises in EWI but is also, I believe, a capable and qualified builder. He takes his building seriously. The house is now coming in at EPC C rating.



Time will tell whether EWI is an effective long-term solution to EPC ratings and (in this case) water ingress and damp. We hope so but so much will depend on the long-term properties of the materials and process – externally-underwritten guarantees are to be provided on completion.



The economic gains are entirely passive so should be long-lasting and valuable. As a lump sum cost to restoring old Totterdown housing stock to future standards, I feel that this is a sensible investment and reasonably priced.

Szot construction installed some additional roof insulation in our church buildings. Communication and reliablity with Robert was excellent. The work was carried out exactly on schedule and to a high standard.

Great service, good value, very tidy and prompt tradesmen. No hesitation in recommending Szot.
