The fish is so fresh, cooked perfectly. I ate there last night for the first time in 40 years! I remember this place in the early 70's as kid and the business suit guys in SF would flood this place. My dad who worked down there would take us there. It is a manly place, old wood walls, men waiters who are no nonsense. Very old SF. The sides with the fish are traditional, but it has always been that way. I really like the whole feel of the place, legit. I tasted my daughter's clam chowder and it took me back to 1978...LOL
