I am writing this review as a final resort after being ignored by Teal Finance for nearly eight months.
I paid a £495 brokerage fee for a service that was never delivered. After my initial broker, Louis (who was great), left the firm, my case was handed to Francesca. What followed was a complete collapse in professional standards. Francesca was consistently unreachable, ignored urgent emails for weeks, and failed to respond to the lenders.
The situation became so dire that the lenders had to bypass Teal Finance and deal with me directly to ensure my house purchase completed on 20th March 2025. I effectively did the job I paid Teal Finance £495 to do. Since 3rd March 2025, I have not had a single proactive communication from them regarding my mortgage.
The Complaints Process is Non-Existent:
I submitted a formal complaint in April 2025 requesting a refund. It is now almost January 2026, and despite calling several times every single month and sending numerous emails, I have been met with total silence.
Every time I call, I am told the matter has been "escalated" to the CEO (Ben) or the Compliance Manager (Francesca). I am promised call-backs that never happen and replies that never arrive. To ignore a formal complaint for eight months is not just poor customer service; it is a breach of professional conduct.
If you are looking for a broker who will actually communicate and earn their fee, look elsewhere. Teal Finance has taken my money and vanished.
Response Required: I am still seeking a full refund of my £495 fee and an explanation for this disgraceful lack of professionalism.

Don't deal with them as I fully believe they have gone under!!!

This company has really dropped me in it. I'm on a tight deadline and I can't get answers to my questions. The broker I was dealing with was excellent but left the company and now I can't seem to get any information. The last person who gave me an update did so on the wrong mortgage product and despite me sending them the correct paperwork pointing this out, four days later I still have not heard back. I am buying a property off a terminally ill lady with stage four cancer (and also a family friend) and as you could imagine, the emotional stress is exhausting. All these hold ups with Teal might mean I lose the purchase as she will have to put it into auction to ensure a quick sale.

Stay away from this company. I lost £ 1000 with them and I intend to go to the Court to recover my money and also report to Action Fraud.

I had to overcome so many hurdles in the process of getting the building loan...Teal helped in real time with the lot.

I applied for a mortgage and the experience was good. They found me a mortgage and took the time to explain everything. Fran was fantastic and she was helpful all the way through. However, the final result after 8 months was that the mortgage was declined even though I had paid them. They should have refunded the broker fee but they kept it

Teal Finance were brilliant right from the first phone call. Very efficient, friendly and helpful people and are very accessible at all times. Special mention for Laura and Fran who were fantastic and nothing too much trouble. Would definately recommend to friends and family.

Teal Finance assisted in brokering a bridging loan to support our build programme. At all stages of the process, from finding the right product to expediting, the support they provided was great. Communication was clear and we really felt that the staff were willing to go the extra distance to get our application agreed and completed as necessary. I would definitely recommend their services and use them again in the future.

Teal Finance is very good of finding mortgages loans etc. Good customer service and they do work in your best interest. Good transparency and kirstie is very polite and nothing is too hard asked if she don't know she will go and find the answer. The only reason for 4 🌟 is quicker response on returning phone calls. But I would have no problem recommending this company.

No wonder they don't link themselves to Trust Pilot, hopeless company. Claimed to have found me a decision in principle for a mortgage and took £500 admin fee. The offer was then revoked but I'm having to go to court to reclaim my £500. Promised to find an alternative offer but that never happened despite my chasing them.
