Applied and accepted on 7th of Nov. (paid up by company)

Applied and accepted on 7th of Nov. The Techscheme stuck at awaiting payment. The company I work for already deduced the first payment from my wages and I still haven't received the vouchers. I was hoping to use on black friday to get reduction in cost and maybe get a treat with the extra. So 21 days after acceptance and over a week after me paying the first payment I have received no voucher. I will be putting it to the company to cancel use of this scheme that they only recently started.

We will request some more information via Trustpilot so this can be looked into further for you.

It is worth noting that there are a few processes that your company do before we are able to process the order and as such, can not always provide specific time frames for orders being released. As it is your employer who take the deductions from your salary, it maybe worth speaking to them directly to see what stage they are at.

Not happy

Put my order in 17/11/24. Company paid for the voucher on 19/11/24. My employer saying they have paid, techscheme saying they haven't got the payment. I've rang 3 times, Company have rang and emailed but no joy. Wouldn't advise anyone to use this Company.

Disappointing, slow, lack of communication

Paid by the employer on the 6th November, now the 14th and still not heard anything. Status says “awaiting payment”. Employer made a phone call to customer service which directed them to email the financial department which they did days ago but still not heard nothing.

Very disappointing, worried that the tech I want will go out of stock. No communication on time frames or what is holding it up. I’ve rang them myself a couple of times but basically told to wait.

Meh.

As of now, the invoice has been paid as an instant transfer, and over 36 hours later, no response to my email, nor the voucher, disappointing, I had assumed my previous issue was the fact it was requested over the Christmas break, however it seems from other reviews and my current predicament that they just ignore people and take their sweet time before processing anything which is laughable considering they state Techscheme will issue your code within an hour....

Update : recieved, about a week faster than last time, however still needed chasing, customer service rep was helpful though.

Generally a positive experience using…

Generally a positive experience using tech scheme through my employer, the wait was roughly 2 weeks slightly more , so overall not bad and the staff were always quick to answer the phones and offer advice would recommend

Up to 8 weeks for voucher to be issued

Takes too long. Upto 8 weeks before voucher is issued. Fine if you want to hold money in an account on the off-chance of a deal. But if you see a sale item and then apply you will miss the offer.

Unfortunately there is a small amount of admin work by your employer that's required prior to releasing your code. This can vary from employer to employer but once that's all done Techscheme will issue your code within an hour.

There can be a couple of reasons why there might have been a small delay with your order but usually the variation will due to a few elements such as if your employer is using a third party finance company to facilitate the scheme, whether they operate a windowed policy for applications (with the orders only being released at the end of this set period) or purely down to the number of team members within your organisation who are processing applications.

Nothing positive about experience

Dreadful, drawn-out service that becomes more of a hassle than a work benefit. This is a new perk in our office and looked like a fantastic way to save money and get some new tech. I applied 7 weeks ago and still havent had my voucher or even been able to activate my account. Work paid the invoice and I asked TechScheme how long it would take and they told me my account was being held up my employer. My employer showed me the paid invoice, showed me the system which had no requests outstanding so I went back to TechScheme and they respond in Riddles like, "We are working under the policies of each employer as they are set. And under your employer set policies this information is the only we can provide and see." If you want to wait months, go for it. If you look at a deal and hope you'll get it, be prepared to be disappointed.

We would like to apologise for the delay with your order. Unfortunately it does appear that there was an issue in the processing of your employer's payment which has lead to a delay in the dispatch of your Techscheme code.

The funds have since been allocated and your order has now been dispatched. This was an unfortunate combination of your employer running a monthly window, which means we only receive applications once a month as well as the delay with allocating the payment.

Not all employers operate their schemes like this so there can be a much quicker turnaround.

It’s a ok scheme

It’s a ok scheme. It’s interest free and you save money on tax.

Only problem is it is a long process. It takes about a month for you to receive your voucher.

If you want something for Xmas, apply early. The vouchers last for 2 years so you can use it later.

Absolutely unbelievable

Absolutely unbelievable, poor service. Paid on the 3 July still no voucher. despite number of calls, emails nobody body bothered to get back to me. No line to finance. And still no voucher and item I wanted is out of stock. Maybe they would care more if I took to social media to complain about the lack of care or customer services.

No communication/ visibility of process

Put in my application on 30th March, employer approved straight away. My order shows in the website as approved, however, I am yet to receive an email from Techscheme (not even an order confirmation email). No idea when the redemption code will arrive.

Update. I have received confirmation my company transferred the funds on 4th May. Is now the 17th May ( nearly 2 weeks after the payment) and I am yet to receive the redeem code.
I was of the opinion that the whole process from approval to redemption code would not take longer than 30 days. I have already paid 2 instalments and item I want to buy is no longer on offer.

There can be a number of reasons for a small delay in processing your order and these majoritively come down to the specific method in which your employer chooses to pick up, approve and fund orders. In this case, it appears that your employer may only process applications after a set number of weeks and, depending on when the order was placed within this window, you may have just missed the cut off point for this to be processed when you'd initially expected it.

As the specific reason for this delay is unique to your employer, we'd suggest reaching out to your HR team in order to get an update on the process and they should be able to give you an up-to-date estimate of when your order will be funded and released.

I have emailed numerous times as i…

I have emailed numerous times as i cannot seem to access my products when i log in now i just get a blank screen with nothing on it!! Have had mo reply and do not know if this has gone through etc… i am now stuck as was for Christmas and do not know if i should go elsewhere or if i wait… this has left me very little time to sort anything else and i am so upset and disappointed. No one is replying to my emails at all!!

Thank you for your review. We did request a few more details to look into your specific issues that you've had but unfortunately haven't heard back.

Once your employer has approved and funded your application the process of the Techscheme voucher being sent out should only take an hour but prior to this, there might be a few additional steps that your employer might take before they are able to finalise your request.

It might be that there is a set window for applications, with your employer checking these at the end of the process and bulk approving these; there might need to be additional consideration if you have any additional salary deductions ongoingly or if the deductions might take you close to NMW/NLW; or it might be that your employer has chosen to fund applications through a third-party finance company that might also add a bit more time to the approval process.

In each occasion, your employer or HR team member will be able to give you an update on how your application is progressing but, if you are still waiting for your code to be issued, please feel free to reach out to us via the details on our site (techscheme.co.uk/help-support/contact-us) and we'll be happy to help however we can to get an update for you.

Don’t order if you are in a hurry

Don’t order in a hurry. I’m still waiting to get my voucher and as it’s a Xmas present I’m not best pleased with the service. It was shown to me to be a quick and painless service but honestly it’s taken so so long and I’m wondering if I will ever receive my voucher. I’ve asked my finance team multiple times if they have paid and they told Me it went through 2 days after I was accepted. My order is still on awaiting payment and I was told it would take 3-4 days for payment to go through and it’s been over that. Techscheme have told me multiple different things and time frames and I may have to cancel my order if this isn’t sorted soon. I’m gutted. I just wish they would get things done fast or tell me the right amount of time. I was told it would be sorted by the end of today and still nothing. I’ve been cc’d into my finance teams emails with the rimittance and still nothing!! I will be calling everyday for an update and hope it gets sorted ASAP. My order number is TSPP67070564

Hi Amber, we are very sorry your order was delayed, your redemption code should have been emailed soon after the payment was received. This is what happens with all Techscheme orders but regrettably didn't occur for your order. An investigation revealed that there was an unprecedented processing error on our finance system which meant the payment was not allocated.
We have fixed this and your code was emailed to you on November 22nd, sincere apologies for this delay.

E-card with the wrong amount of money on it.

I applied for the scheme and of x amount of money. I got my E-card today and the sum of money is a lot less, I have called them and they couldn't help now I don't know who to turn to. I have spoken to.

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear that part of your voucher was not received successful. We have asked for a bit more information about your order but sadly didn't hear back.

The only thing that could potentially be at play here is the occasion where you may have requested a higher value order. In this circumstance, the order would be delivered in multiple emails; there is a limit of £2500 per redemption code so if the value that you've requested was above this, you would have received two emails simultaneously into your inbox, one for £2500 and another for the remainder. There are no limits to the amount of codes that can be used for a purchase though so both codes are able to be put towards the same item/transaction without issue.

Please would it be possible to check your inbox for this missing email or, if you're not able to track this down, please reach out to the team at info@techscheme.co.uk and we can assist with getting this resent out to you.

Have called Customer services 4 times

Have called Customer services 4 times. Basically, my employer made an immediate payment yesterday morning and i was told the voucher would be emailed within 24 hours. It is still not here, and astonishingly, my techscheme page still says waiting for payment. How can you be waiting if a payment is paid on an immediate basis. The worse thing is, I chose all the electrical goods that I wanted but they have now probably sold out, gone up in price. having to choose products first to acquire how much to need to borrow seems pointless to me.

Easy to sort out with work and…

Easy to sort out with work and instantly ready ti spend really. Doesn’t take long to be approved. Obviously will vary with work olace. But very handy when needing new appliances. And pre tax deductions

Great but a bit slow

I wanted to get my partner a birthday present and I thought this would be a great way to save a bit - only thing to keep in mind is that the process does take some time.
Once you submit the application your employer has to approve it. Your employer gets an invoice that can be paid in 30 days.
I asked HR and finance to speed up the process on their end so I could get my voucher timely and they got it all approved and paid within 3 days of my application. I am on my 5th day of waiting since my voucher has been dispatched and still nothing. I have called customer service and they advised they have to dispatch them manually and to wait 2 days to receive it. I appreciate there has been a bank holiday weekend, but still they promise you get your voucher usually within the 1st hr, or in the next 24hrs from submitting your code. Hopefully it comes through today - I’ll update my review once i have been able to use it.

If you are an employer looking to implement this scheme, then don't!

I am wriring this review as an employer who has offered this scheme and has encountered a bad experience from Techscheme. We implemented the scheme in April 2021, we now have to include the Techscheme on our P11D / P11D(b) returns for the year. However none of the support staff have a clue how to assist me with this, the simply refer me to the HMRC, who I have spoken to at length, also do not understand this scheme at all. The literature is vague and unhelpful, as are the support staff, stating that they are not qualified to give out advice regaring the administration of their own scheme??
Very unhappy and frustrated.

We're sorry that you encountered issues with the reporting of Techscheme. In our Techscheme Employer Manual which is sent to all clients after they sign up, we clearly explain that there are two ways you can report a Benefit in Kind: the P11D process or Payrolling of Taxable Benefits.

Our Contact Centre Team are knowledgeable and helpful and were right to direct you to HMRC (who have reviewed and approved our scheme in 2018) because it's the employer's responsibility to report the benefit.

Techscheme provides a free of charge technological, promotional, and administrative service to our clients and we don't ordinarily provide specific tax advice. We made an exception on Friday for your very specific query which was related to which section of the P11D needs to be filled, and we advised that is Section A of the form, resolving your query.

Unfortunately after applying through techscheme I was informed that only those earning above the nlw are allowed to apply which I was pretty shocked by so I can only give one star

Part of the requirements of this is that the reductions to your income via your agreement with your employer must not reduce your salary below NMW/NLW.
