Tempo were very easy to work with. Getting started was smooth and straightforward. Auditor took the trouble to understand our business, what we do, how we work, etc. making communication during the audit very easy.

The Tempo team moved really fast to help us to meet our timeframes - it's rare to have an audit firm move at the speed of a start up and to be really set up in a seamless way for clients.
We'll be coming back and love Tempo's exceptionally frictionless approach.

I recently completed my ISO 27001 audit With Tempo audit and wanted to share what a genuinely positive experience it was from start to finish. The engagement was smooth and well organised.

The auditor I worked with was exceptional, highly professional, diligent, and incredibly thorough, yet still approachable and supportive throughout. Several colleagues mentioned how comfortable they felt during their conversations, which really helped them open up and engage confidently in the process. That balance of rigour and warmth made a noticeable difference to the overall experience.
It was also my first time going through an asynchronous audit, and I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it was. The approach proved efficient and flexible, and the auditor adapted seamlessly to our hybrid ISMS setup. This ensured the whole process ran smoothly on both sides.

Overall, the entire experience was extremely positive. The professionalism, flexibility, and constructive approach throughout the audit were genuinely appreciated, and it left a strong impression.

We use Tempo for our ISO27001 auditing and I'm thrilled that we were introduced to them. Right from the first call with Rob I was reassured that we had an audit partner who would balance robust scrutiny with positive engagement. I really appreciated that the audit was as asynchronous as possible, meaning I could attend other work whilst the audit was ongoing. I also really value that the audit is designed as more of a consulting partnership, meaning that our auditor, Monique, gave advice on how to continuously develop and improve our ISMS beyond the audit
It's also really helpful that they have an understanding about smaller, scaling technology companies, and don't try to fit requirements that are not appropriate or required for a specific company.

Is it weird to say I had a good time?

We worked with a more traditional auditor for a couple of years, but they didn't seem to understand the needs (and technology) of our start-up, so we looked elsewhere.

Susanna and Rob were so much better. They knew how to use our ISMS software from the beginning, so I didn't have to spend most of my day e-mailing documents to the auditor. It was a collaborative process - I was given time to find documents I didn't immediately have to hand, and worked with the auditor to ensure we could demonstrate we meet the standard. But most of all, they understood our business and used that understanding to explain and audit the standard in a way that made sense to our start-up.

The process was very smooth. Our auditor understood this was our first time going through certification and she made the audit experience positive by providing clear guidance about what she needed and through frequent communication throughout the whole process.

Working with Tempo was a great experience — their team was thorough yet practical, making the ISO27001 audit feel clear and manageable. We really appreciated their clear communication and supportive, down-to-earth approach throughout the process.

The audit planning was excellent. We knew exactly what we would face and when. This helped us in the last phase of preparation - the psyching up for a 3 day grilling! We were well prepared for ISO 27001 where details are key and I was really pleased that the auditor was able to see this and was consequently able to reduce the direct interaction with us. So the grilling was more of a light toasting! The audit went really well and I would recommend Tempo to all SMEs.

You've set up an amazing thing. Spending 3 days being audited by Tempo was EASY because most of the detail was checked asynchronously beforehand, and VALUABLE because it felt like we were spending time with a genuine risk & security expert rather than being checked up on for the sake of compliance, process and paperwork.

Tempo Audit says what is does and does what is says. They said that they would have an agile process, specific for Software providing small startups. And they did. It was a pleasure to have the audit. Always in a positive and constructive way.
