A welcome break from cooking
It was great not to have to cook and certainly some of the dishes were delicious- the Oyster mushroom scallops were particularly good. The dhal was disappointing - lacking in flavour and very runny - more of a soup than a dhal. It was difficult to get everything on the table and keep it from going cold but that could be my lack of coordination! Some of the pots were missing labels so a bit of guesswork was required in identifying the contents. Unsure if coconut cream and chilli flakes should have been provided but they weren’t there. In spite of these negatives I will try it again as it’s good to not have to think about cooking and eating out as a vegan is difficult where I live.

We were sorry to hear that the dhal was not to your tastes and I have passed your feedback onto our kitchen team for their review. The kitchen team have confirmed that the coconut cream was in the dish already so no need to add and the chilli flakes were mixed in with another pot (hopefully you received).
I have shared your feedback on the pots - we do put labels on all of our sauces and main dishes usually. The only ones that don't have a label are things like charcoal rolls, skewers and meatballs. Possibly yours fell off so we will look at that!

lovely treat meal
What a lovely treat meal with our daughter who is gluten free and vegan... I made our own gf naan but husband says chappatti were good. It took a few reads to follow the instructions as there are so many elements to the meal but they were all eaay in themselves! Cod bites really tasted like fish and chicken was so crunchy and loved the scallops! So glad we decided to do this instead of trying to find somewhere to eat out (and settling for a sweet potato curry, again!) Really memorable meal together!

As someone who switched to a plant-based diet at the beginning of 2021, The Brook is the perfect treat. We loved the Sea Lovers Menu which I shared with someone who eats fish and dairy. We were both so impressed. Love your ethos at The Brook with plant-based, initiative cooking and sustainable packaging. Looking forward to trying the Mumbai Nights with cocktails tomorrow!

Lovely. Sadly no cocktails
My husband didn't like the scallop however I really loved them. The tofish was lovely it was our favourite.
Unfortunately we didn't get the cocktails we ordered
Labels on the boxes as well as the sauces snd numbers would be helpful rather than having to open everything

Fab vegan food
Fab vegan food - comes all pre made and as ready as possible so you don’t have to do very much at all. A little on the expensive side but we’ll worth it for a treat. Incredibly tasty, would definitely recommend.

I wish all vegan food was this good.
Our "burger night" kit was delicious. Every element was of an amazing quality. Id have been happy with any part of it by itself. Super easy instructions, in cooking time order which really helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone.

The perfect event at home
Had the burger night event last night, it was awesome! This is the second “event” we’ve had and both were excellent. The instructions are good too.
If there is one criticism- the portions are huge! We saved the Mac and cheese for the following day.

I was a bit sceptical about a vegan…
I was a bit sceptical about a vegan delivery. I've dined at the Brook several times and always been happy, but £48 for two meals delivered cold? What would portion size be like? How hard would it be to cook?
The box arrived towards the end of the time I was expecting it, but no worries, still in time for dinner. Cooking instructions were dead simple for each meal - if you can boil water and turn on a oven you can do this! The Tofish meal took 25 minutes, the Dan Dan noodles one 20.
What were they like? Both were utterly excellent.
The Tofish was tasty and filling, with a bit of chilli in the batter, and served with excellent chips, capers and minted veg. I managed to finish mine, the Missus struggled - portion size was big!
The second meal was Dan Dan noodles with ginger "pork" and Satay skewers. I can honestly say I've never tasted better noodles - the whole meal was excellent and again a good portion size.
Will I buy again? Definitely. Well done The Brook!

Loved my Seoul Food box!
I chose the Seoul Food box for my partner and I to celebrate a special day and it was everything I hoped - the food was easy to prepare and tasted incredible so we were very full by the end of the night. It gave us a lot of inspiration for recipes and flavours we can try ourselves but I can't wait to order our next box!
