Ash was extremely helpful when we visited the shop and guided through the choices of guest beds. The delivery and assembly of the bed was very good too. Would thoroughly recommend.

I purchased a new (Dunlopillo Super Comfort Latex Pillow) which I thought was the same as my original Dunlopillo, it’s not. The quality is not the same, despite whoever is making them now, claim they are.
If you haven’t purchased one before you won’t know the difference. Dunlopillo do not make the original ones anymore and the new versions using the Dunlopillo name are of poorer quality.
My original Dunlopillo latex pillow, after 5 years of use, has more density alone than this brand new one.
I contacted The Bed Specialist within the hour of delivery, and voiced my opinion but they said I couldn’t return it if it wasn’t damaged etc, they didn’t want to know. I hadn’t even taken it out of it’s wrapper, as I could tell from touching it through the plastic bag it wasn’t the same quality.
We are always encouraged to support a family run business, but it’s like getting blood out of a stone when it comes to getting a refund.
Give me the big retailers any day.
If you do your research you will read other people stating that the new so called Dunlopillo pillows are not the same as the old ones, that’s because Dunlopillo have been taken over.
Regarding (The Bed Specialist) it’s the first time dealing with them and it’ll be my last.

We had a quality consultation, tried out several different products and in the end selected one that met our needs. The service was fantastic from stepping foot in the showroom, selecting the best mattress for us, delivery and most of all getting a good night sleep. We highly recommend this family run local business.

Firstly, my daughter and l were very warmly received and were greatly helped in choosing the right mattress for my needs, as l'm very old and disabled. Secondly, the waiting period for manufacture was very greatly reduced and the mattress was delivered and placed on my bed and the old mattress removed, all in just 5 minutes. Shopping at The Bed Specialist was such a stress-free experience. Nick was very knowledgeable about the different types of mattress and honed in quickly on our sleeping preferences with a few astute questions. The bewildering choice was therefore thankfully narrowed down to a smaller number of mattresses that might suit us, and after that we were given all the time in the world to test them out. There was absolutely no sales pressure (quite the opposite; Nick suggested that before we ordered our new bed we come back in a week or so as a test to see if our favourite mattress was still our favourite - advice we ignored!). Delivery was well organised and smooth, the delivery team was very friendly and built the bed in our room in about 40 minutes. We've had our new ottoman divan, mattress and gorgeous plush headboard for a week now and couldn't be happier. Thanks to Nick's expertise, I'm sleeping much better and so is my husband. I guess that's the benefit of shopping at a third-generation family business - they know their stuff! Thank you Bed Specialist team!

A Pillow Lesson!
On 26/10/24 I bought a pair of latex foam pillows from the Bed Specialists, they were the dearest I’ve ever bought at £95 each. I tried before I bought & liked, however when I tried to sleep on them that night, couldn’t get comfortable!
Next morning having not slept well I went elsewhere and bought 2 cheapies. I’m now used to them & sleeping well, so don’t give up if you can’t get used to them straight away, give it a couple of nights & they’ll come good! As for cheapies, one in spare room & other refunded.

Excellent care and attention to detail as to my requirements.The whole team were "special" from sales to deliver. Thank you guys.
