The Career Coach レビュー

Ian has been absolutely superb in advising my on my transition into Cybersecurity.

Where do I start

Misleading discounts shown on website.- show sizeable discounts on their products but it goes against consumer protections (ccpc 2022)
When I raised this, they said it didn’t pertain to them as it’s digital/service sales. They then remove the discounts on their website.

Communication-
My coach went silent on me for weeks, it was put down to a tech issue.

Refunds-
They don’t do them

Product-
They don’t have the customers best interest at heart is the biggest thing I’ve taken from this.
The initial pitch is a heavily scripted, trained to counter objections, sales person. It feels manipulative.

Buyer beware

While I was given guidance on a pay rise , your statement is misleading. There was a blanket company wide increase, and I was looking on how to push for more. While I was given advice, I didn’t get a further raise. Your comment suggests that it was because of the CC I got an increase, this is not true and don’t appreciate your misinformation.

I recently worked with John Kelly (The Career Coach Waterford) as my coach, who I met at the Jobs Expo in Cork. I couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience. John’s deep knowledge of my desired sector, combined with his patient and thoughtful guidance, helped me successfully secure a new role in the industry. Throughout all of our sessions, he provided tailored advice, helped sharpen my CV and interview skills, and gave me the confidence to navigate the job search effectively. I would thoroughly recommend his services to anyone looking to advance or transition in their career. The expertise and supportive approach I experienced from John made all the difference. Thank you John.

Superb insight into what my cv is lacking cant wait for next meeting with my coach

I have had only one session with Ian at this stage but already feel empowered and back in control of my future... watch this space!

I started working with Career Coach recently, and it's been fantastic! They've helped me tailor my CV and apply for jobs with confidence and hope to land a job soon. Highly recommend!"

For my second session with Career Coach, I was shown how to setup my LinkedIn profile in a more professional manner. He pointed out a few tweaks and "hacks" that would make my profile more visible to recruiters and potential employers. I'm really chuffed with the course so far.

I joined The Career Coach a week ago, and so far, I’ve had two sessions — one focused on improving my CV and the other on optimizing my LinkedIn profile. Both sessions have been really valuable. My coach has been very helpful, not just during the sessions but also whenever I’ve reached out via email with doubts — he always responds with clear answers and practical solutions.

It’s still too early to give a full opinion, but based on my experience so far, I’m optimistic about the journey ahead. With their guidance, I’m confident I was able to enhance my professional profile and take steps toward securing a job.

I had my first career coaching session with Ian, and it was a genuinely valuable experience. The session focused on CV building, and Ian provided clear, actionable feedback that helped me better understand how to present my skills and experiences effectively. He was attentive, encouraging, and offered insightful suggestions tailored to my career goals. I left the session feeling more confident and focused, with a much stronger grasp on how to make my CV stand out. Highly recommend Ian for anyone looking to elevate their professional profile!

Just started my first session with Sean Dolan, and I’m already feeling great about starting with this programme. Sean gave me great advice and guidelines for improving my CV, and I’m super excited to keep working with him.

I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with Ian Richardson, and I must say, his approach was nothing short of exceptional. He skilfully transformed my CV and LinkedIn profile into potent tools that genuinely reflect my professional strengths and career ambitions. Ian's insights were invaluable, and his expert advice ensured that both my CV and LinkedIn profile were perfectly aligned with the current job market.

What truly stood out was the personalised coaching I received. Ian focused intently on my unique skills and experiences, crafting a compelling narrative that highlights my professional journey. The enhancements made to my CV and LinkedIn profile have already begun to yield results, attracting more interest from potential employers and opening up new networking opportunities.

Working with Ian was a seamless and incredibly supportive experience. He was always available to address any questions I had and provided additional guidance whenever needed. I wholeheartedly recommend Ian Richardson to anyone seeking to elevate their professional presence and advance their career.

As I look forward to our upcoming sessions next week, I am excited to see how Ian will continue to help me refine my professional strategy. With two more sessions pending, I am confident that Ian's guidance will further enhance my career prospects and provide me with the tools necessary to achieve my goals. His dedication and expertise have been instrumental in my career development so far, and I am eager to see the impact of our continued collaboration.

Ian is an amazing coach he is very helpful and really does help you so much

I joined The Career Coach less than a week ago, so I’m still in the early stages of the process. So far, I’ve had one conversation with my coach, and they have been helping me improve my CV with personalized feedback. I look forward to receiving more feedback and continuing the journey to enhance my professional profile. It’s too early to give a full opinion, but I’m optimistic about the progress!

I took a Job Seeker package from them this year for 600 as I struggled to land a job in the UK market and was looking for specifics. This has never happened to me before, with my 15+ years in IT. I landed a job using only 2 sessions with the coach out of 4, but this is not due to their help or valuable insights.

Pluses
Rory L is a lovely person and a good salesman.

Minuses
Where do I start....
1. The questionnaire you start your journey with is good and detailed. But what is the point if, as a result, I was matched with a person based in the US and not directly related to my area? I know the US market and explicitly mentioned that I am taking the course to get UK specifics.

2. Based on the above, I asked to change the person and got another one. The girl I spoke on the phone about was not interested at all in resolving the issue. She was reading some clumsy script, trying to get me out of her hands as fast as possible.

3. The Video course you get "smells" like telemarketing from the 90th and is a total waste of time. The only useful thing I got from their materials was a single-column CV template.

4. The CV and LinkedIn profile analyzer is far from good. I tried it a few times, but it was slow and less effective than the one I found on my own as a separate service (you can see the name in my other reviews). Their CV analyzer is very slow, and the suggestions are not helpful.

5. The first coaching session I had was "Get to Know Me," which was a pleasant conversation, no more nor less. The second one involved me practicing my interview pitch, which I had prepared on my own for one of the interviews I had scheduled.

6. The LinkedIn profile and CV advice I received were general, and you can Google them for free, really.

The bottom line is poor Value for money spent.

I would like to thank The Career Coach team for their invaluable guidance and support throughout my job search journey.
Before reaching out to them, I was struggling to secure interviews despite my best efforts. Finally with the expert assistance of Lee Harding, Ed Stanley, Janette Alvarez, and TCC team, I was able to refine my approach by tailoring my CV and Linkedin profile as per their guidance. Thanks to their insights and strategies, I not only started receiving interview opportunities but also successfully landed a job.

I highly recommend The Career Coach to anyone facing similar challenges, your next opportunity could be just around the corner with the right guidance.

I had the honour of getting to work with Martin Kelly.

Martin helped me with the dredded interview prep, I always found it very difficult to talk about myself in a correct and confident way to resonate my experiences, qualities and personal traits during interviews for the jobs that I desired.

Martin is to the point and very easy going, he helped me greatly with my weaknesses in the interview process in a very kind manner and could spot the sections that I needed to work on immediately.

His approach in career coaching was very beneficial to me, with his knowledge and professionalism I can now say that I am so much more confident in going into interviews.
I have a top quality CV and a fantastic base for any in person interview.

I am certain now without hesitation that I have so much more to bring to any interview for any job that I desire thanks to Martin.

I ended up securing a new job and I am delighted to have had the opportunity to work with my career coach!
