I found the CV Writing Service to be very useful and painless. It's always difficult to write about yourself and to pull out the most relevant parts, Lynn was very good at identifying the key points.
The company set out a timeline with clear deadlines which were all met.

I couldn't fault the service I experienced with The CV Writing Service. When I first considered using a professional CV writer I was overwhelmed by the number of options available from a simple google search and I selected this one as it appeared to be the most personal. I wasn't wrong. It had been a very long time since I had written my CV and I was aware that the process had changed enormously and had no idea where to start. The whole process with Lynn was structured and comfortable. She took the time to explain the modern technologies used by HR teams today and how my CV would navigate this. We discussed my experience, qualifications and skillsets and Lynn drew out attributes with very carefully worded questions. I was incredibly pleased with the end result - something I know I could not have produced myself, but all the same, a perfect representation of what I can offer the workplace. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lynn, nor indeed, returning in the future if I should ever be in the position of needing this service again.

I had my consultation with Joanna. She listened to my experience and where I want to get to and tailored my CV to that (as I am planning on switching industries), she even helped me with a step by step guide to making a LinkedIn profile which I really appreciated. All in all great experience, very friendly in terms of being able to understand and relate with my experiences, but also very professional in being able to extract key points and strengths. Working with Lynn to rewrite my CV has been an expcetional experience from start to finish. From initial contact, setting up the meeting, to the meeting itself and the process afterwards clear expectations were set. During the meeting, Lynn asked probing questions which had shown me that she had done research into the type of role I am looking for so she knew how to pitch my CV. There appears to be so many CV writing agencies out there now who take your money and farm it out to inexpereinced ghost writers, so I am very, very happy that I found Lynn who really is an expert in her field.

In order to write my CV, Lynn has done thorough market research, then we had a phone interview where she asked key questions to match my skills with recruiters' requirements in my area of interest, taking into account a possible move abroad. We had various iterations of my CV until I was completely satisfied - her work has literally transformed my CV! Lynn has also done a brilliant job in revamping my Linkedin profile. Since then I have already been contacted by a number of recruiters and got an interview scheduled! Also the cover letter she wrote for me is very clear and effective. I also had a career coaching session with Jane. Whilst I did not find out anything new, it was helpful in making me think about my career in a rounded way and from an external perspective. I am overall very satisfied about the experience.

After spending 10 years with my current employer it had been a long time since I'd been active in the job market. I made a very genuine enquiry to this company and received a reply that was meant for an internal colleague and the way I was being spoken about was really so unprofessional and rude. It made me feel less than and was quite degrading. The state of my CV isnt great which it why im looking for a service to help me not shame me. I'm just glad I saw that before handing over my money. I like to work with companies that actually want to provide good value for money as well as having a good moral standing and actual enjoy what they're doing. In my experience the service received from such companies speaks for itself. My advice would be to really think before handing your money over to this company.

Professional Service. Lynn took the time to thoroughly research my area to ensure the CV was specifically tailored to my target market.

Lynn was great at quickly understanding my industry and what would make an appealing CV to future employers. She made the process extremely easy and was very open to suggestions to what works/doesn't work for any employers in my industry. I highly recommend her and would use her again.

Lynn scheduled a Zoom meeting with me. It lasted two hours, during which she asked me several questions to understand my previous experiences and qualifications. She loves her job and she cares about her clients. I could tell. She sent me the first draft after a week asking if I was happy with it - it was amazing! After I approved the CV, she completely rebuilt my LinkedIn profile. She could have just sent me the profile, but she also provided a very detailed explanation of how to update my profile and offered to double-check the final result. A month later, I’ve been offered an amazing job!!!!
