Feels Like a Scam - Overcharging, Stalling, and No Accountability
Horeca Store operates in a way that should seriously concern anyone considering doing business with them.
Orders are paid for, then seemingly disappear into a black hole. Updates are nonexistent. Every interaction is the same scripted delay tactic: "give me a moment" or "let me check," followed by zero real answers.
Customer service appears outsourced, with representatives using generic names and unable to provide clear or consistent information. Getting a straight answer is nearly impossible.
Pricing is where things get alarming. Items advertised around $99 were later charged at nearly $296 per item.
No explanation. No accountability. Refund requests?
Denied.
At best, this is gross mismanagement. At worst, it raises serious questions about their business practices.
If you value your time, money, and sanity--avoid this company.

We had a great experience ordering appliance throughout Horeca Store and our representative Austin.
They were more affordable than the competition and they shipped everything really fast. Everything was delivered as expected and we wish we have started ordering from them sooner! 5 start

Great service. They were easily reachable and were able to deliver my fridge and freezer in a timely manner.

We are opening a new restaurant and shopped around at several places throughout the city of Houston. We made up our mind to purchase from The Horeca Store off Bissonnet Street in Houston Texas.

Our point of contact was Shehzad Razzaq. Shehzad was very professional , knowledgeable, polite, and just came off as authentic. Our decision to purchase at this store was made because of our interaction with Shehzad. Thank so much, very happy!

The Horace store delivered in their promise of delivering a superb product through their distribution partners .they were dilligent and professional in solving delay or problem and got me exactly what I desired @ a reasonable and fair cost.Id recommend them for any of your refrigerator needs , again they delivered on their promise with a quality product .

Had very long and pleasant conversation with a sale executive over the phone as I was shopping for a dough divider. I stressed that we need a quick turn around. I was assured again and again that the lead time is no more than a week to ship out from Tennessee. I paid by check and the check was deposited. And then nothing ... no receipt or order number confirmation ... I reached out to ask for order number, was sent a quote with end date for the quote with order number on the sheet. Now, eight (8) business days later, nothing! No communication no update and 11K plus gone and no definitive trace if our order was ever placed! Called yesterday, was promised to give an update within a couple of hours ... Nothing. Pleasant as always on the phone but nothing else. We were planning on ordering more equipment, but maybe NOT after this experience.

Ordered a large freezer and it never shipped. The company keeps telling me that I will get the shipping information 'today'... but 'today' never happens. Going through my credit card company to get a refund.

We needed a 3 door freezer quickly, and one that was affordable as we were opening a new restaurant and one week before the opening ours crapped out. I purchased from Horeca on price alone, I had never heard of them. I spoke with Adam Ryan who verified a warehouse had one within 300 miles so I purchased. It was at this point I started to wonder if this was a scam site. Every time I called the staff was so pleasant I thought no way they are real. I called Adam who assured me they were real and he sent me tracking information as soon after. It wasn't until I saw the shippers website showing pickup that I finally relaxed and felt comfortable. I had my new freezer within 5 days. I am beyond happy with Adam and his team. They treat their customers the way you would like to be treated but it rarely happens anymore. You can feel comfortable that they are real, and awesome!

But a double door, commercial refrigerator and a counter freezer from Mark Sam… He was great! Both products came promptly and are perfect for our needs. Mark say I’m really helped a lot and was great to work with :-) we will definitely reach out the next piece of equipment we need.

I was in need of two new double door freezers and I had less than 10 days with a huge beef order coming in. I tried several places and the only company who was willing to meet my timeline was The Horeca Store. I worked with Rebecca who was responsive and always available. I received both freezers on time and couldn’t be more happy with the quality of the freezers. The pricing was very fair and quality exceeded expectation but it was the great service of the team from Horeca that ensures I will buy from them again. Thanks to a great experience!

I got a new freezer this morning it was so good and the proce was reasonable i cannot find anywhere else for this price and the team shriparna, Rebecca, mike and marksam helped me a lot in getting this freezer they are so helpful and welcoming.

I was looking for a Reach-in refrigerator for the non profit org, searching online and stumbled upon this Horeca store website. Prices found very interesting. The sales associate Mark Sam answered my number of questions patiently and assisted me to buy one what I was looking for. He was able to resolve the challenges and fulfilled the delivery before time. I recommend this store to shop with.

New place to shop for restaurant equipment in Houston.

I was setting up a new bakery and had a long checklist, mixers, prep tables, display cases, even basic utensils. I wasn’t sure I’d find it all in one place, but HorecaStore came through. What surprised me most was how deep their inventory is. I’d look up one item and end up seeing four or five options in different sizes or brands. Ended up saving a lot of time, not jumping across multiple vendors. They’re clearly built with restaurant folks in mind.

This company is a scam. Paid almost 1, 400 dollars for a freezer which was set to be delivered in three days. Seven days later, I haven't received the shipment. I called and they said the truck broke down. Trying to get the money back from my credit card company.

This store appears to be a scam. I never received my order and they do not respond to emails.
