INNER CIRCLE: IL CERCHIO RISTRETTO CHE... NON ESISTE

Pubblicizzato da un'abile trovata di marketing che magnifica l'esistenza di una sorta di "giro ristretto", "circolo chiuso", il sito Inner Circle esplode all'attenzione del pubblico del dating on line accompagnato da una leggenda metropolitana: la selezione per essere ammessi a farne parte è dura, le attese possono anche durare talune settimane e talvolta essere frustrate da un "no".

La mia duplice esperienza (la prima durante il lockdown da Covid nel 2020, la seconda a settembre 2022) dice esattamente il contrario.
Nel 2020 sottopongo la mia richiesta utilizzando, come veicolo d'accesso, l'account di LinkedIn: in meno di 24 ore vengo ammesso; nel settembre 2022 l'attesa dura meno di un'ora.
Delle due l'una: o appartengo - senza accorgermene - ai livelli top della scala sociale, oppure la "occhiuta selezione" è un'invenzione per attirare gli sprovveduti.

Pago, in entrambe le occasioni, tre mesi di abbonamento (80 €).

I miei criteri per scegliere le utenti: una grande città (Milano), fascia ampia di età (tra 20 e 45 anni), altezza compresa tra 168 e 183 cm. Nient'altro.

Risultati: un'appuntamento nel 2020 (durante un periodo di zona arancione), nessuno nel 2022.

Preciso: NON sono un uomo che riscuote scarso successo a causa dell'aspetto insignificante e dei modi goffi o poco attraenti (nel dizionario: sfigato); in vita mia ho anche avuto tre relazioni con modelle.

4 opzioni per cercare la persona di interesse tra tante foto, obiettivamente curate quanto a visibilità dell'immagine:
1) "tutti" gli utenti;
2) chi è on line o lo è stato in un arco temporale che arriva fino alle due settimane precedenti;
3) chi è nelle vicinanze;
4) i nuovi iscritti.

Io mi muovo spesso sul "menu" delle persone on line (presumibilmente, le più attive).

Scopro una cosa sconcertante nell'esperienza del 2022: molte facce sono le stesse del 2020.
Questo significa che:
a) o le donne pagano un abbonamento ridotto (o non lo pagano affatto), in quanto è impensabile che una persona stia iscritta per due anni a un sito di incontri (se ne desume, senza aver trovato nessuno oppure perché c'è una dipendenza patologica dal virtuale);
b) altra spiegazione: un certo numero (tutte, guarda caso, bellocce) altro non sono che "ragazze immagine" del sito (e tutti i miei "like" e messaggi a questa categoria cadono costantemente nel vuoto).

Cosa fa il sito con i miei (ampi) criteri di preferenza sopra descritti?
Propone tot profili al giorno: il 90% di aspetto discutibile (eufemismo), di tutte le belle (on line) nessuna per me. Passata la prima settimana di iscrizione, da numerosi profili proposti al giorno si passa a 3 o 4, per poi finire a zero.

“Inner Circle” evoca sensazioni subliminali: un utente crede, iscrivendosi, di trovare chissà quale crème socio-professionale; io mi sono imbattuto in normalissime impiegate, commesse e anche disoccupate; pure un profilo di una 34enne che si dichiarava “studentessa” (la sua università ringrazierà per le cospicue tasse versate in dieci anni di fuori corso?).

Sensazioni subliminali, dicevo; aggiungo: subdole. Il costante ricorso ad anglofonie nobilita una contabile/ragioniera in “sales accountant”, una commessa in “shop assistant”, per non parlare di 27-30enni già assurte al ruolo di “manager”. Qualche ingenuo, sedotto dalla terminologia esterofila, ci casca.
Alla faccia della scrupolosa e spietata selezione del sito riguardo agli aspiranti utenti.

"Amplia i criteri di preferenza e avrai più possibilità!", suggerisce l'ineffabile motore di ricerca
Ma certo! Anziché Milano, dove risiedo, potrei indicare ... Roma? Anziché sulla fascia d'età 20-45 potrei ripiegare su una fascia tipo 50-60 (ho provato e, senza offesa, i profili erano veramente deprimenti quanto ad aspetto esteriore); potrei - infine - selezionare altezze dai cm 155 ai 168 (ma se sono alto 181 che faccio, l'articolo "il" quando ci esco?!?).

Osservo: le iscritte on line dovrebbero essere le più attive, quelle cioè che entrano, leggono i messaggi, chattano... ebbene, connettendosi tutti i giorni, almeno un paio di volte, si scopre che le facce sono sempre le stesse; ad essere generosi, 50-60 volti. SEMPRE QUELLI.

Questo è quanto.
Conclusione: i soldi sono i vostri, liberi di gettarli al vento per un sito che di efficace ha solo... il proprio marketing!

Non responsive customer service.. they are saying I need to upload better photo (where nothing is wrong with my photo) but even when I try to upload nothing happens.. takes back to the page saying account is blocked. I didn’t even get to use the app and they blocked me.

The app itself is not bad. The problem is that there is no customer service. I was charged for the full membership as once you agree for the free trial, despite you don’t continue the premium subscription, the money gets directly from the phone or card you registered to the company. I sent a claim to the company and after 2 weeks I have no reply. It is impossible to contact them, no phone contact, no chat service, only one email.

Rubbish! Waste your time registering then it sits for over a month 'awaiting profile review' while still asking you to refer friends...

Slechte datingsite. Veel te duur voor wat er geboden wordt: sommige zijn niet eens lid meer. Dan kun je alleen een bericht sturen bij een match of via een 06nummer. Ook geen reactie ontvangen bij een automatische verlening dat ik dat wilde herroepen. Eigenlijk nog niet eens 1 ster waard dit.

Very poor matching functionality. Doesn’t allow you to filter well which matches will be offered daily.

Also the company doesn’t care about safety or experience of their users. Someone can harass you with multiple messages, not only on the app but on social media. You will tell them politely don’t message again. Those users complain and your account is blocked for no reason. They don’t review communication. They also don’t care what is happening beyond the app, but fast to block amid someone complains.

The customer service takes ages to get back to you and usually not very helpful.

I would advise to use some better apps

I came back to edit this review. They accepted my profile, finally and it seems to be working but I will leave it at 4 stars because of what others said about fake profiles and the deleted Google review. I might change it to 5 if I have a different experience than others.

I signed up for IC, and started browsing profiles of women, 90% of them looked posh and sophisticated. But when you sign up for premium services all you see is trash. They lure you into paying premium price by showing instagram life photos of attractive women, but in reality none of it seem real. Also, after signing up I was immediately liked by some woman, but you can’t see her face until and unless you pay subscription fee. I logged in the next day and that like had disappeared :D
Stay the duck away from this dodgy setup

So this Inner Circle .... is a disaster, they blocked me without any consideration or refund and never gave me the option to cancel my account. In order to bill me endlessly.

I will sue them in civil court easily and win, if they won't change their ways. Time to stop this app.

Just as I thought I came here to give a review and I understand why you only have barely two stars this site is a Scam they ask you to pay £10 one time then they take money out of your account without any notification then when you write to query what happened and why and if you could get a refund? they ignore you!!

terrible! as a 40 year old you get a lot of spam from little boys aged 20-22. You cannot turn this off. Inner Circle is very expensive and you only get spam in return

I only joined for one month paid 20£, they said on their advert only 20£ but then at then on the 29th of September they charged me 40£. I cancelled my subscription immediately and ask for my money back but they dont replied. I'll have to report them to the bank in order to get my money back and get a new bank card incase they do any more charges.."be careful"

The customer service of this app on their email is the most awful terrible experience on earth! Absolutely ridiculous. It takes ages to get verified as if they are actually verifying anything but mostly a show to make it look cool!

Met de gratis versie kun je feitelijk niets dus je wordt gedwongen te betalen. Je kunt berichten ontvangen van iedereen (als je wil) en dan komen er heeeeeeel veel berichten van vooral jonge gasten die snel willen scoren. Al na een paar zinnen komen de verzoeken om sex of dirty talk. Geen app voor serieuze zaken!!

I registered in inner circle website some weeks ago, sent my details, verified my profile, approved after some weeks. To my greatest surprise I was blocked immediately I subscribed to my account, I became so sad and worried
