Imagine trying to enjoy a meal with my girlfriend and I hear a chef shouting and treating his own colleagues with disrespect. Is this how a 5 star restaurant treats their staff members? Appalling. Never want to come back to an environment with negative atmosphere.

My cousin, Dr. Watson, recently organised a delightful dinner gathering at Yopo, situated within The Mandrake Hotel on 20–21 Newman Street, London. From the very moment I stepped through the doors, I was utterly enchanted by the restaurant’s exquisite décor — an elegant blend of sophistication and artistic flair . The atmosphere exuded warmth and style, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening of fine dining and conversation.

The service throughout the evening was nothing short of impeccable. A particular mention must go to Misqel, whose professionalism, charm, and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. He set the tone for the entire evening with a graceful ease that made every guest feel genuinely welcome and attended to.

The culinary experience was equally outstanding. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavour and presentation, perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The cocktails were no less impressive — creative, refined, and absolutely delicious. Every sip and bite reflected the chef’s artistry and the establishment’s dedication to excellence.

It was, in every sense, a memorable evening. Yopo manages to combine elegance, creativity, and comfort in a way that few restaurants can achieve. I left feeling both inspired and eager to return.
