Our entire experience of working with the oak glasshouse company was excellent - from our initial meeting with Jim to project completion. They really listened to our vision for the new room, and it felt like our project mattered to them as much as it did to us. Great design, every issue with our space was overcome without fuss, costings were fair and transparent, and no nasty surprises! Excellent communications throughout, they pulled out all the stops to deliver on time and budget. We are delighted with the end result. Could not recommend this company highly enough.

We were looking for a company that could provide an oak framed extension 4m x 4m, glazed on three sides and with a tiled pitched roof. We found Oak Glasshouse via an internet search. Jim came to see us to discuss our requirements and invited us to visit one of their projects on site which we did and were very impressed. We had obtained planning ourselves but we utilised Jim’s recommended designer to produce working drawings and get building control approval. We were given a firm quotation. Oak Glasshouse built the oak frame at their workshop in Ashford and we were invited to come and see it, we were delighted with what we saw. Oak Glasshouse do not do the groundworks so we employed our local builder to carry out this work. Oak Glasshouse arrived on site with the frame and Jim, his son, also Jim, and nephew Bill worked tirelessly to erect the frame in one working day. The roof went on followed by glazing and fitting the doors and windows. They were meticulous in completing all the finishing details and Jim made sure we were completely happy with the finished job. The quality of the materials and workmanship was excellent and it took a total time of four weeks from start on site to completion. Oak Glasshouse are technically extremely competent, they are hardworking and friendly and we would not hesitate to recommend them. Thanks Jim, Bill, young Jim, Barry the roofer and his mate for a job well done.

Jim was a great find. He made ever aspect of the design and build easy, everything went to plan and he took the worry out of ever step of the project.

As is usual with builders we thought there would be issues, or things to alter but no not on this build, it all went like clockwork and Jim created the exact building that was in our heads, our dream come true.

I cant stop looking at it I am so chuffed.

We had a gym and swim spa (separate building) constructed by the Oak Glasshouse Co. and are delighted with the finished result. I had the groundwork’s and low level brickwork built separately, that contractor messed up and left walls which were not level, Jim from OG rectified this and completed his work on time and to budget. Communication was great throughout the project, he assisted with final design and getting through building regs. Would definitely recommend them and intend, in the not too distant future, use them again to extend my leisure area.

From meeting Jim at the NEC at a home exhibition to the actual finished building we were constantly surprised at the length jim would go to make sure everything thing was perfect, the end product is a fantastic addition to our self build property..if anyone is thinking of using this company get in touch with me and come to have look at the building it self.Once again thanks to Jim and Bill.

We recently hired the Oak Glasshouse Company to build a large, double-storey extension in the greenbelt. We were initially attracted to the company for its 'Homebuilding & Renovation' magazine-ready buildings. As we got to know Jim and his team we came to appreciate that the quality of the building is as good as its appearance. Obviously this shows up in the visible elements, for instance the generous oak beams and floating glazing, but also the invisible parts such as the treated rafters.

I should also add that Jim helped us at every stage of the building process, from drawings to planning permission to post-construction fit-outs. He often popped by to see how the work was coming along and to help us problem solve.

We couldn't be more pleased with the result.

Oh, and he delivered on time and on-budget.

We used The Oak Glasshouse Company recenty to construct our dining room and a couple of oak fronts to our new build property. Couldnt fault Jim and the crew, they put a lot of time and effort in and popped back many times before we even placed the order to run over different questions. the other compaies we approached would hardly give us the time of day but Jim was fantastic. Would definitely recommend
