I had a very disappointing experience working with The Translation Gate LLC, and I’m sharing this to warn other freelancers.

Timeline & facts:

I was contacted for an AI bot evaluation project with no formal agreement, no PO, and no payment terms upfront.

I completed the task fully and submitted it on 5 November 2025, following the exact instructions provided.

After delivery, I was told the task had been done in the “wrong language” — even though all instructions, configuration codes, and materials were provided in English. This was clearly an internal mistake, not mine.

I was then asked to redo the entire task in another language, without clear confirmation of additional payment.

Communication was poor, onboarding was incorrect, and follow-up during the project was almost nonexistent.

Only after multiple escalations was I asked to submit an invoice — which I did on 30 December 2025.

After submitting the invoice, I was suddenly informed that payments are processed 45–60 days after invoice submission, a condition that was never disclosed before or during the project.

As of today, despite the work being completed months ago, I am still unpaid.

Key issues:

No clear onboarding

No upfront agreement or payment terms

Instructions changed after delivery

Attempts to classify a full redo as a “revision”

Long payment delays disclosed only after work was done

This is not how a professional, ISO-certified company should treat vendors. Freelancers deserve transparency, proper onboarding, and timely payment — not shifting requirements and delayed disclosures.

I strongly advise freelancers to get everything in writing before starting any work with this company.

An excellent, patient and kind partner with correct rates.

Interesting projects, cooperative PMs and timely payment. It's always a pleasure collaborating with TTG.

The vendors that I have worked with are professional and very helpful. You have to wait a while for payment, but I have never had any problems. Payment is also no different to other companies I have worked with.

But, but only one task received this year.

I have still not been paid 572 euros for to me for delivered tasks.

On the other hand collaboration with PM's has been very good.

My paychecks have been paid on time without any mistakes nor delays.
