Fantastic Customer Service
Absolutely fantastic to deal with, they made the process so easy and were constantly in communication with updates on the progress. Customer Service is outstanding and highly recommend. We look forward to doing future business with them.

Not clear communications with respect…
Not clear communications with respect to the setup costs not being amortised into the finance loan.
You are the only finance company that does not amortise the setup costs.
This caused me $5.00 in bank fees for a direct debit being rejected.

Policies/Staff
I have always found Thorn receptive to various types of equipment with a rate for risk attitude. Dealing with the BDM at the time Chris McCall (Asset Fin) was always professional and decisive, with a quick yes or no as to whether a deal is one for Thorn. Chris always has a lets try and make it a deal attitude. Thorn's internal staff in particular Nelson have always been helpful, efficient and up to speed with policy requirements in relation to applications and settlements.
One shortcoming I found was the requirement for the settlement confirmation having to be sent to the client by Thorn.

Needs serious improvement
Their phone staff are nice and try to be helpful, but their internal system is broken, they have multiple departments that don't seem to share information between them.
Edit: after over 5 hours on the phone i finally managed to talk to someone who was able to provide me with a statement of account, and I was able to pay out my debt.
They promised me they would improve their system in the future. Let's hope this is true!
