Tink n Stink レビュー 

I love Tink & Stink and the amazing selection of Tangles they offer. I'm always on the lookout for new ones, so I'm hoping they'll get more stock soon! Delivery is always super quick, and opening the package is so much fun. Their chew necklace selection is great too.

I ordered a chrome tangle and, upon receiving it, immediately noticed that it had quality issues. Two of the silver pieces were tarnished and one piece had a red discoloration. The item was never used, and I took photos of its condition as soon as I opened the package.

As I was still within the 14-day return period, I contacted customer service regarding the issue. Instead of processing the return, I was initially told that they wanted to contact the manufacturer first.

When I then stated that I wanted to exercise my right to return the item, I was told that the tarnishing and discoloration may have been caused by use. This was surprising, as the item had never been used and I had already documented its condition immediately upon receipt.

For reference, my original message was:

“l’ve received my order and while I love the general product (tangle) itself, the tangle l got sent isn’t in the best condition quality wise.
Two of the silver pieces on the tangle are tarnished and one of the pieces has also a red discoloration.”

The response I received included the following:

“I am sorry you are experiencing an issue with your tangle, and I have reached out to the manufacturer to review it, as we haven't had this issue before.”

And later
“We were not previously made aware that the item arrived with a quality issue upon receipt, and from your original email, it appears that the tangle has been used. (…)
In the meantime, as this appears to be tarnishing rather than a confirmed manufacturing fault, you may wish to try the following cleaning method, which is (…)
Once we have received and inspected the item, we will confirm whether it is suitable for exchange, refund, or whether any deduction applies due to use.”

The company has now agreed to accept the return, but according to the website I am expected to pay the return postage and have been told that they will decide after inspection whether the defects were my fault and whether I am entitled to a refund.

What I find most disappointing is not that the item arrived with defects, but that I was made to feel as though I had caused them despite never using the product. I do not feel that my concerns have been taken seriously, and I do not think customers should have to prove that a fault present upon delivery was not their responsibility.

I will update my rating once the matter has been resolved.

We have used tink n stink for all sensory items for years. Always brilliant, speedy delivery, love to support small businesses and always find what we need in stock here and decent prices. ☺️

Apart from the fact that the chewable necklace didn't arrive on time, so my child was unable to take it on their school coach trip (which was the sole purpose of the purchase), the seller also could not be bothered to reply to my email or voice mail in trying to find out why the delivery didn't happen as scheduled. Small business or not, you have a duty to provide assistance in tracking down our purchases when they don't arrive as planned, or showing some basic empathy to the purchaser for its non arrival, otherwise you end up with someone taking more time than they would normally to ensure other purchasers are aware of the customer service standards they can expect. Also the chew has a chemical smell and taste and has sat in a draw since its arrival. This product must surely need to be investigated by trading standards.

What a incredible small business. I really enjoyed supporting all small business. I highly recommend everyone shop at Tink n Stink. Excellent! Bought myself a fidget toy (tangle) to replace stimming with my hair (which means I have to wash it more often) - very pleased with it! Website is easy to use, and had more information on the product than the manufacturers did! Delivery was quick and in recyclable packaging, which is always appreciated. I love the ethos of the company, clearly run with neurodivergence people and their families in mind.

Ordered a tangle toy which although it arrived quickly was extremely poor quality and broke on first use. Waste of money

easy to search and find products, was recommended Tink 'n' Stink by my OT at CERU for purchasing the bumpy gel pen grip to help with my writing, very comfortable and i got on well with trying it out

Great service. The only place I can get the drinking bottles that my son needs. Always delivered very quickly and excellent communication.

It has not arrived, it was supposed to arrive ages ago. I was happy with the variety of products but became upset when it never arrived. I sent an email and didn’t get response, a bit upset. I need it as I have sensory issues so I obviously got a bit angry but I shall update this review when it arrives.
