Mr. Phippen,

You lied on your application and you have misrepresented the facts in your review. We sent a denial email to the email address you provided less than three hours after receiving your first application. As explained in the email, your funding request was denied because you knowingly provided false information on your application in an attempt to deceive us.

On your application, you stated you had received no prior funding for your case. However, during underwriting, we discovered a lien on your case from another funding company that provided you with a cash advance.

Regarding fraud, deception, and intentional misrepresentation of facts, our website (https://tlfllc.com/legal/terms-of-use#intentional-misrepresentation) is clear: “Providing false, deceptive, or misleading information on an application, including concealing known facts, will result in the permanent denial of a funding request.”

At the time of this writing, you have applied with TriMark Legal Funding five times and have provided different information on each application. Each has been denied, and writing retaliatory online reviews won’t change that, so please stop.

This is about another company and has nothing to do with TriMark Legal Funding. We have no record of anyone by this name contacting us by phone, and we have never received an application, contact request, or email from anyone using this name either. And when we requested additional information, we got no response.

Mr. Coriell, your review "I am still waiting for them too get back too me to let me know how much they can fund me I have had my case settled for 1.35 mil" is intentionally misleading and puts you at risk. I strongly encourage you to delete it at once.

But first, a question. What would ever possess you to boast to the entire world on an open platform like Trustpilot that you expect to receive $1.35 million? Mention to your attorney that you did that, and I'm sure they will admonish you to remove it at once since it will almost surely make you a target for online criminals and scammers, and probably some close to home, too.

I understand you’re frustrated with how long the Boy Scouts sexual abuse lawsuit is taking, but your remarks have nothing to do with TriMark Legal Funding.

You contacted us from our page about the Boy Scout sexual abuse lawsuit (https://tlfllc.com/mdl/mass-tort/boy-scout-settlement-payout-date). That page clearly states that TriMark suspended its legal funding on the Boy Scout sexual abuse lawsuit on 2/18/2020—the day the BSA declared bankruptcy—almost five years ago. It also explains that TriMark does not expect to resume funding on the BSA case and why we made that decision.

Despite that, you submitted a contact form on that page and requested that we notify you if we ever resume funding on the BSA case. Less than 5 ½ hours later, you submitted this negative review despite being fully aware that we have not offered funding on the BSA case for almost half a decade.

It begs the question: Why did you leave a negative review for TriMark Legal Funding?

If you’re frustrated with how long the BSA lawsuit has taken, wouldn’t that be a matter for your attorney, the MDL Court, or the claims administrator?

The only other information you provided is your boast that you expect to receive $1.35 million very soon. As ill-advised as that may be, since it has nothing to do with TriMark, you could just as easily have done that with a 5-star review.
